Role title: Allied Health Worker (Casual) Occupational Therapy

Salary: $40.05 to $46.80 Per hour + Casual Loading + Super + Salary Packaging

About the role
Monday to Friday role, working up to 5 days per week, providing a high-quality Occupational Therapy service to inpatients across St Vincent’s Hospital, including Acute Inpatients, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care, with flexibility to support other clinical areas and participate in a weekend roster as required
Determine patients’ occupational needs through standardised and functional assessments, designing and implementing patient-centred interventions with a focus on therapy, discharge planning and patient flow
Contribute to the evaluation of Occupational Therapy services, including the collection of activity and outcome data
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research within Occupational Therapy
Promote the responsible and effective use of Occupational Therapy equipment, departmental and organisational resources
About you
Current Australian Occupational Therapy Registration (AHPRA) and a hold a current unrestricted NSW Class C Driver’s License
Previous post-graduate Occupational Therapy experience in acute and sub-acute hospital settings across various clinical areas including neurology, general medicine/surgery, and rehabilitation within a multidisciplinary team context
Demonstrated experience in clinical management with the ability to apply clinical reasoning skills and independent professional judgment on routine matters
Demonstrated experience with quality improvement and a commitment to ongoing professional development
Knowledge of current standards of Occupational Therapy clinical practice / Code of Ethics
