We’re seeking someone to join our CDRR Technology team as a AI/ML Developer, in Tech Risk Gov & Controls (TRGC) to the design, development, and enhancement of a governed AI platform that combines retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), secure and entitlement-aware data access, multi-step AI agent workflows, and integrations with authoritative enterprise data sources In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is Associate position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Design and implement Generative AI and machine learning retrieval patterns
• Including lexical, semantic, and vector-based search, ranking, and retrieval strategies
• Develop and enhance RAG-based solutions that generate responses grounded in trusted enterprise information.
• Build secure document ingestion, parsing, and extraction capabilities for structured and unstructured content, including PDF, Word, Excel, and similar formats.
• Implement metadata management, access controls, and entitlement-aware information retrieval to ensure users receive only authorized content.
• Develop backend APIs, services, and asynchronous processing pipelines designed for scalability, throughput, resilience, and reliability.
• Design and implement multi-step and multi-agent AI workflows that coordinate retrieval, reasoning, processing, and downstream actions.
• Build and maintain integrations with enterprise data platforms, databases, APIs, services, and other authoritative information sources
• Develop scalable capabilities for batch and bulk query processing Implement observability, monitoring, usage analytics, and AI evaluation metrics to measure platform performance, quality, reliability, and user outcomes.
• Support testing, deployment, and production-readiness activities for AI/ML capabilities.
• Partner with engineering, product, risk, governance, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions meet applicable security, control, governance, and production standards Maintain appropriate traceability, auditability, and controlled access across AI-generated outputs and supporting data.
• Continuously improve platform architecture, engineering practices, and AI capabilities to support expanding enterprise use cases.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 4-6 years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend development and experience working with AI/ML technologies
• Hands-on experience designing or developing Generative AI, machine learning, or retrieval-augmented generation solutions
• Strong understanding of information retrieval, semantic search, vector search, ranking, and document processing concepts
• Experience building scalable backend services, APIs, asynchronous processing pipelines, and distributed applications
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise data sources, databases, APIs, and services
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, data entitlements, and secure application development practices.
• Experience implementing monitoring, observability, metrics, testing, and evaluation frameworks or production systems.
• Ability to design solutions that balance AI capabilities with deterministic behavior, security, reliability, traceability, and governance requirements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
