Job title:
You will be responsible for developing and verifying embedded firmware for Oral Healthcare products and supporting software delivery throughout the product development lifecycle.
Your role:
- Develop, test, and maintain firmware for MCU-based embedded products.
- Implement firmware modules related to motor control, sensors, power management, user interfaces, BLE communication, RFID, and product connectivity.
- Manage software design, coding, debugging, and verification activities under defined project requirements with manufacturing partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Electronics , Mechanical, Software, App, and Test Engineers.
- Perform firmware integration and verification testing.
- Investigate and resolve firmware issues during development and product validation.
- Participate in software design reviews and development documentation activities.
- Support product qualification and mass production issue resolution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product software quality.
- Occasional travel to suppliers or manufacturing sites (up to 20%) for project activities
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of embedded software or firmware development experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a Master's degree.
- Hands-on experience in Embedded C/C++ development.
- Experience developing firmware on MCU platforms.
- Understanding of UART, SPI, I²C, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and common embedded hardware interfaces.
- Basic understanding of BLE communication and wireless connectivity technologies.
- Familiarity with RFID, user interface firmware, and data storage functions.
- Knowledge of RTOS fundamentals and embedded software architecture.
- Experience in firmware debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Good problem-solving skills and learning agility.
- Ability to work independently on assigned firmware modules.
- Good communication skills in both English and Chinese.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with BLE stack development or debugging.
- Experience with battery-powered or low-power embedded products.
- Exposure to cybersecurity concepts for embedded software.
- Knowledge of Python or software test automation tools.
- Experience in consumer electronics, smart devices, IoT products, or medical devices.
