Position Summary/Purpose:
Provide administrative and office support for the Department of Welcome Programs.  

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions: 

• Assist with creating, coordinating, and executing marketing tasks as assigned by full-time staff members.
• Provide operational, task-oriented support for all programs, events, and activities. Specifically, those related to Welcome Week, Family Weekend, Move out, and Herd Camp.

• Network and collaborate with other GCU departments, partners, and students 

• Maintain and expand knowledge of relevant systems, platforms, and resources to aid in managing organizational details
• Support daily office functions and administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, emails, text messages, and budget management.
• Other duties as assigned 

Equipment Used and Responsibility:  

• MS Office 
• Clickup Project Management System

Schedule: 

• Academic year, 20/hrs week 

Qualifications: 

• Excellent written and oral communication as well as excellent interpersonal skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 

• Desire to learn new skills and ability to take and receive direction from staff
• Ability to balance multiple tasks at one time and take initiative of responsibilities

• Experience and interest in marketing and communications
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Canva.

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program. 

• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. 

• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
