The Administrative Assistant II will provide comprehensive care coordination and support to physicians and advance practice clinicians as part of a large cardiology practice, to meet the cardiac needs of patients in a timely and accurate manner. The Administrative Assistant II will perform high-level clinical and administrative tasks which will include triage patient cardiac clinical calls working closely with the RN triage team.

Work Schedule:

• Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• No weekends or holidays

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant II will provide comprehensive cardiac patient care coordination and clinical support in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include triaging high-volume patient calls, reviewing and communicating diagnostic and laboratory results, coordinating cardiac testing and procedures, and facilitating preoperative cardiac risk assessments. Support providers by managing medication prior authorizations, disability/FMLA documentation, and test order preparation in accordance with established clinical protocols. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, coordinate communication across multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and ensure timely, patient-centered service while adapting to changing departmental

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• 5 years medical assistant experience OR 5+ years’ experience in a direct patient care setting required.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Experience in a medical office setting preferred
