We are looking for a detail-oriented and analyticalย Actuarial Analystย with a strong interest inย health insurance, statistical modelling, and risk assessment. The ideal candidate will support actuarial analysis, pricing, reserving, product development, and portfolio performance evaluation to help drive informed business decisions.
This role is suited for a professional with a strong quantitative foundation and an understanding of insurance principles who can translate complex data into meaningful insights. You will work with actuarial, underwriting, claims, finance, and product teams to evaluate risk, improve pricing accuracy, monitor profitability, and support the development of sustainable health insurance products.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse health insurance policy, premium, claims, and customer data to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks.
- Support the development and review of actuarial pricing models for health insurance products.
- Assist in estimating claims frequency, severity, expected claims costs, and loss ratios.
- Conduct experience studies to evaluate actual performance against actuarial assumptions.
- Support reserving activities, including the analysis of incurred claims, outstanding claims, and claims development patterns.
- Evaluate portfolio profitability and identify factors affecting underwriting performance and claims costs.
- Develop statistical models and analytical tools to support pricing, forecasting, risk assessment, and business planning.
- Assist in monitoring key actuarial metrics, including claim ratios, premium adequacy, and portfolio performance.
- Prepare actuarial reports, dashboards, presentations, and analytical summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, product, and data teams to support business decisions.
- Support health insurance product development by analysing pricing assumptions, benefits, customer segments, and risk profiles.
- Validate data quality, maintain accurate analytical documentation, and ensure consistency in modelling assumptions.
- Assist with regulatory reporting and compliance-related actuarial requirements, as applicable.
- Identify opportunities to improve actuarial models, analytical processes, and reporting efficiency.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 1+ years of relevant experienceย in actuarial analysis, insurance analytics, risk modelling, or a related quantitative role.
- Strong interest inย health insurance, including claims analysis, pricing, underwriting, and product profitability.
- A degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Progress toward professional actuarial qualifications from bodies such as the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) or the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience analysing structured datasets.
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or statistical modelling tools is an advantage.
- Understanding of insurance concepts such as premiums, claims reserves, loss ratios, risk pooling, and underwriting.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex data accurately.
- Good communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings clearly.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, manage multiple priorities, and work independently when required.
- A proactive learning mindset and interest in developing expertise in health insurance actuarial practices.
