As an Accountant, you will be part of our international Finance team, supporting various accounting activities across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger. You will work with SAP S/4HANA and be involved in financial closing, fixed asset accounting, intercompany transactions and account reconciliations. You will also collaborate with colleagues across our international group to ensure accurate financial reporting and continuously improve our finance processes. What you will do:  

• Booking incoming invoices and checking their correctness.
• Responsibility for processing payment transactions.
• Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities and preparation of financial statements.
• Accounting for and reporting fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers and depreciation.
• Processing intercompany transactions related to goods and services between affiliated companies, including issuing outgoing invoices.
• Monitoring and processing account reconciliations in SAP S/4HANA, reconciling balances with other group companies and investigating discrepancies.
• Preparing and analysing reports, such as accounts payable aging and fixed asset reports, for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinating with external partners, including purchasing teams and suppliers.
• Collaborating with internal departments to optimise finance processes, including intercompany accounting.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal guidelines and applicable regulations and performing relevant controls.
• Supporting the General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.

What we are looking for:  

• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally with experience across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or General Ledger.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial closing processes.
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and intercompany transactions is an advantage.
• Very good MS Office skills, especially in Excel.
• Ability to analyse discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
• Systematic, accurate and detail-oriented approach to work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of an international team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in English.
• German language skills are a plus.
