Awtad, a prominent real estate development company in Saudi Arabia, is in search of a dedicated and skilled Accountant to enhance our financial team. Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor suppliers' and contractors' accounts related to projects.
• Review contracts, payment certificates, and invoices to ensure they comply with agreements, purchase orders, and payment terms.
• Reconcile supplier and contractor balances and perform the necessary accounting adjustments.
• Monitor project costs, operating expenses, and petty cash transactions.
• Review due payments, amounts paid, and outstanding balances for each project.
• Record project-related journal entries and ensure the accuracy of financial documents.
• Follow up on invoices and payments and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and relevant departments.
• Prepare periodic financial reports covering project costs, expenses, and financial obligations.
• Monitor Value Added Tax (VAT) and electronic invoicing requirements in accordance with the regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia.
• Perform periodic accounting reconciliations and month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain and organize financial records and supporting documents related to projects.
• Coordinate with Finance and Operations departments to ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least two years of practical experience in accounting.
• Practical experience in accounting, preferably in project accounting or within contracting and operations companies.
• Good knowledge of supplier and contractor accounts.
• Experience reviewing contracts, payment certificates, and invoices and matching them against payments.
• Ability to reconcile account balances and perform accounting adjustments.
• Knowledge of project cost monitoring, operating expenses, and petty cash management.
• Knowledge of VAT and electronic invoicing requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with Odoo is preferred.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
