Account Manager – Service Parts: Powdered Metallurgy

Job Description Summary

Collaborate directly with customers to ensure continuous improvement in sales management of service parts that is favorable to Dauch, following the organization’s policies and procedures and maintaining a clear and direct line of communication within the organization to meet customer requirements.

Job Description:

• Quote service parts and ensure that sales targets are met with the profit margins established by the organization and maintain healthy relationship with customers.
• Support on service parts fulfillment on time and all the time avoiding commercial issues with customers
• The primary function is to oversee, manage, and coordinate service parts customer related activities internally within AAM.
• Oversee that all customer requests are responded to and satisfied on time.
• Review AAM Cost request responses for accuracy, corrections, and develop commercial proposal for presentation to customer.
• Review and approve PO´s to update customer price lists.
• Track and report commercial status / activities for Service Parts.
• Take lead role for all customer meetings and schedule recurrence meetings as needed to track progress upon completion.
• Track and maintain price updates so that overall profitability can be improved ensuring that current contract clauses are met.
• Develop past model price increase request to customers and follow up until completion.
• Monitor service obligation by customer and request to discontinue parts when retention timing has concluded.
• Collaborate in metal market annual adjustment and submissions.
• Oversees maintenance of customer database.
• Review with the Manufacturing facilities SCM teams to support commercial issues related with current service parts.
• Review tooling disposal request when service obligation ends and submit to customer for approval as needed.
• Collaborate with the different areas of the organization to create proposals, changes, etc., through the AAM Cost Request system.

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor’s degree required. Business or Engineering preferred
• 2 years of experience in OEM Sales roles required
• 2 years of experience in SCM 
• Fluent English (Written and Spoken)
• Experience with sales process and variety of customer relationships
• Strong communication skills – ability to develop a business relationship with multiple departments, facilities, customers, etc.
• Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel preferred)
