We’re looking for new team members who get excited about designing and delivering new and better products. Come join us and help build a better financial future for millions of people.

Upgrade is building our sales team for our home improvement financing business, and we're looking for an Account Executive to help lead that effort from the front. You'll own new merchant and contractor acquisition, helping home improvement businesses offer consumer financing through Upgrade. This is a ground-floor role with real scope. You'll shape how we sell, who we target, and what the team looks like as it grows. We expect future sales leaders to come from this group.

If you want to build something from scratch with the backing of an established fintech company, this is the role.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the full sales cycle. You'll run outbound prospecting from first touch through close, targeting home improvement contractors and merchants. You're the one finding opportunities, building relationships, and getting deals done.
  • Engage the right decision-makers. You'll focus on owners, executives, and other decision-makers at contractor and merchant businesses across North America.
  • Shape how we go to market. You'll refine messaging, improve sales presentations, and help build our outbound motion as we scale. Your feedback directly influences how this team operates.
  • Keep your pipeline tight. You'll manage a high-velocity pipeline in Salesforce and stay on top of activity tracking across all your accounts.
  • Work across teams. You'll partner with Sales and Customer Success leadership to develop account strategies and share what you're learning from the field.
  • Set the standard. You'll help establish the processes and norms that define this team's culture as we grow.

What You Bring:

  • 5 or more years of full-cycle sales experience, ideally in SaaS, channel sales, or a comparable field. Experience selling into the home improvement or contractor space is a real advantage.
  • A track record of hitting and exceeding goals. You don't need to rank first on every leaderboard, but you do need to show consistent performance over time.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. This is an early-stage team. Priorities shift, processes change, and you'll need to adapt without losing momentum.
  • Strong communication skills. You can clearly explain value, tailor your message to your audience, and run a compelling presentation.
  • A team-first mindset. You'll collaborate with people across the company and need to work well across functions and deal sizes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet clients and attend industry events.

What We Offer You:

  • Competitive salary and stock option plan
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance with employer paid options
  • Flexible PTO
  • Competitive 401(k)
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
  • Paid parental leave
  • Health & wellness initiatives
