Position Summary
The Education Account Executive will own sales opportunities across schools, universities, and other educational institutions. The ideal candidate will understand how educational organizations evaluate, purchase, and implement new technology. This person should be familiar with education procurement, academic calendars, stakeholder management, and longer sales cycles. Pangram is rapidly establishing its presence in education, and there are significant opportunities to close new business across account categories.
Primary Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle for education opportunities
Qualify inbound interest from educational institutions
Conduct discovery calls and product demonstrations
Understand each institution’s policies, needs, and evaluation criteria
Coordinate free and paid product pilots
Establish evaluation criteria and pilot success metrics
Build relationships with academic leaders, administrators, faculty members, technology teams, and procurement stakeholders
Navigate education budgeting and purchasing processes
Develop proposals and negotiate agreements
Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast information
Partner with Customer Success during implementation
Help refine Pangram’s education sales strategy and messaging
Share market feedback with product and company leadership
Ideal Candidate Profile
Proven experience closing new business
Strong record of quota performance
Experience selling software or technology into education
Knowledge of education procurement and budgeting processes
Experience managing multiple stakeholders
Understanding of how academic calendars affect buying cycles
Experience running pilots, trials, or product evaluations
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently within an early-stage environment
Willingness to work onsite in Brooklyn
Preferred Background
Existing relationships within the education market
Experience selling into colleges and universities
Experience with education technology, academic integrity, artificial intelligence, data products, or learning tools
Experience working with administrators, academic leaders, faculty members, technology teams, or procurement groups
Experience helping establish a new sales segment or process
Experience selling products that require customer testing before purchase
Compensation
$160,000 - $240,000 OTE
