About the Role

As a Business Director, you’ll serve as the executive growth driver and senior strategic lead for one of our highest-profile client portfolios. You will be responsible for shaping long-term business partnerships, unlocking multi-stream commercial opportunities, and elevating service delivery through a future-facing, AI-enabled production and creative ecosystem. We are looking for someone who is passionate about seeking new opportunities to create impactful work, acting as an indispensable business partner who bridges creative ambition, technological innovation, and financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Own and expand the executive client relationship portfolio as a senior strategic advisor, aligning client growth ambitions with our full spectrum of creative, tech, and AI capabilities.

• Develop comprehensive account strategies, financial forecasts, and commercial roadmaps designed to secure long-term client retention, maximise net revenue, and optimise profitability.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts, pitching innovative scopes and framing complex offerings to drive business transformation.

• Oversee the end-to-end execution of large-scale, multi-market programs, ensuring cross-functional teams deliver on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Translate high-level business challenges into clear, value-driven briefs and scopes of work that balance client impact with operational efficiency.

• Navigate and resolve high-stakes client issues and escalations with executive diplomacy, maintaining trust and driving win-win outcomes during complex conversations.

• Partner with creative, operational, data, and finance leadership to streamline delivery models and incorporate emerging AI tools into daily workflows.

• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of account leaders, cultivating a commercially focused, collaborative, and career-advancing environment.

About You

The essentials:

• Native-level fluency in Dutch (written and spoken) alongside fluent English, essential for leading this specific regional portfolio and stakeholder network.

• Proven executive client leadership with a track record of managing, growing, and retaining high-value client accounts at the Business Director or Senior AD level.

• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing substantial P&L, negotiating complex contracts, and driving profitable organic growth.

• Deep operational expertise in scoping, budgeting, and delivering integrated digital, production, and tech transformation programs across multi-market setups.

• Strategic mindset and tech fluency, with a sharp understanding of how AI, technology, and data-driven insights transform client businesses and production models.

• Inspirational leadership skills, capable of developing high-performing account management teams and guiding cross-functional disciplines toward a unified goal.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, comfortable leading difficult yet collaborative conversations with both C-suite clients and internal partners.

Not a must, but a plus:

• Extensive experience within a fast-paced agency, Marketing Services, or Client Success environment in the Benelux region.

• Hands-on exposure to AI-driven workflow tools and emerging production technologies.

• Experience leading multi-brand or global account ecosystems spanning content, media, and digital product touchpoints.
