As an ABAP- Senior Associate, you will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations and optimize their indirect tax positions. Within our Tax practice, you will be part of a team that specializes in value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax, and other indirect taxes. As a Senior Associate, you will build meaningful client connections and learn how to manage and inspire others. You will navigate increasingly complex situations, grow your personal brand, and deepen your technical skills. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, and to deliver quality.

In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will respond effectively to diverse perspectives and needs, using a broad range of tools and methodologies to generate new ideas and solve problems. You will develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing, using reflection to enhance strengths and address development areas. Upholding professional and technical standards, you will interpret data to inform insights and recommendations, contributing to the firm's overall business strategies.

Responsibilities

- Advising clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy to optimize their tax positions
- Navigating complex indirect tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and sales tax, to provide accurate guidance
- Utilizing tax technology tools to streamline indirect tax processes and improve efficiency
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns to validate compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conducting tax litigations and providing strategic insights to resolve disputes effectively
- Collaborating with teams to develop innovative solutions for indirect tax challenges
- Interpreting data to inform insights and recommendations for client engagements
- Upholding professional and technical standards in accordance with PwC's code of conduct and independence requirements
- Building meaningful client relationships to anticipate needs and deliver quality service
- Mentoring junior team members to enhance their understanding of indirect tax concepts and practices

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Master's in Commerce
- At least 3+ years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
