Who You Are:
Galaxy Digital is looking for a Policy Associate to join our policy team covering digital assets policymaking and legislation for internal and external clients.
This role will be based in Washington, DC.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Head of Policy in developing regulatory and legislative engagement plans, including advising senior leadership on key policy issues.
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret regulatory, legislative, and policy developments at the U.S. Federal and State levels; assess their impact to Galaxy, and assist in developing rapid responses to such policy proposals.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and key stakeholders to advance Galaxy’s policy interests.
- Represent Galaxy in policy discussions and industry meetings, including participation in trade associations and policy roundtables.
- Prepare policy briefings, comment letters, testimony, and advocacy materials to communicate Galaxy’s positions to government officials and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a thought leader on various crypto topics and consult with internal and external clients.
- Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality in your day-to-day work.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of professional experience working in financial services policy.
- Advanced degree preferred in public policy, law, business, or a related field.
- Experience working in digital assets in Congress or within a market (SEC, CFTC) and/or prudential (Fed, OCC, FDIC) regulator is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of federal and state legislative and regulatory processes, particularly as they relate to digital assets and financial services.
- Strong, existing knowledge of digital assets ecosystem and policy issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience.
- Capability to self-direct and drive projects with minimal supervision, effectively managing time and resources to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes.

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. The Fireblocks Legal team is a strategic partner across the company, operating at the intersection of law, technology, and financial regulation. We support the development and launch of cutting-edge digital asset products in highly regulated environments, enabling business growth while managing legal and regulatory risk. Working closely with product, engineering, compliance, and senior leadership and C-suite, Legal plays a central role in shaping Fireblocks’ global strategy in the rapidly evolving digital assets ecosystem.
About the Role
As Associate General Counsel, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor to Fireblocks’ product, engineering, and senior leadership and C-suite. You will support the development, launch, and scaling of crypto and financial services products across multiple jurisdictions. This role blends deep regulatory expertise with practical, business-oriented judgment, and requires close collaboration across Legal, Product, Compliance, Risk, and Commercial teams.
You will have a direct impact on product strategy, regulatory readiness, and go-to-market execution, bringing a strong commercial mindset while acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership in a fast-paced, global environment.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to product teams, supporting the design, launch, and scaling of new products and features across global markets
- Identify, assess, and advise on regulatory and legal considerations affecting product design, functionality, distribution, and user experience
- Provide strategic guidance on regulatory readiness, go-to-market planning, and jurisdictional expansion
- Draft, review, and maintain global and localized product terms, disclosures, and other customer-facing legal documentation
- Advise on product positioning, marketing, and platform presentation in light of regulatory, licensing, and consumer protection requirements
- Monitor and interpret global regulatory developments related to digital assets, custody, payments, stablecoins, and financial services, and translate them into actionable business guidance
Required Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the NY bar
- 10+ years of legal experience with significant focus on regulated financial technology companies
- Extensive expertise in payments regulation, digital asset custody, and related frameworks
- In-house experience at a fintech or digital asset company
- Track record of successfully launching regulated financial products in multiple jurisdictions
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with limited resources
- Demonstrated experience working with financial institutions and structuring legal partnerships.
- Familiarity with corporate governance best practices on a global scale.
It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and each compensation decision is dependent on each individual case. A reasonable base salary range estimate for this position is $202,000 to $265,000. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a target bonus, a very competitive equity grant, and very generous benefits.

The SRE team was recently formed with the goals of establishing first-class observability tools and primary owners of all things production.
Team members are located in several international locations (“follow the sun” model) to provide 24/7 availability.
We are a team of unique individuals, experienced and independent, who get things done.
This position is fully remote, candidates required to be in US Pacific time.
What You'll Do
As part of your role, you would improve and establish new monitoring, alerting, and observability of services using a wide range of tools. Additionally, you would handle critical alerts and incidents and work directly with R&D to improve and optimize availability.
- Research Fireblocks blockchain workflows, identify optimization opportunities, issues, and improve monitoring.
- Help identify root causes for incidents and prevent them from happening again. Solve and orchestrate outages by working with multiple teams.
- Improve and establish alerting for our infrastructure, services, and business logic
- Work closely with the R&D and Support: offering education and guidance on integration, support, and monitoring across the toolset
- Communicate and escalate issues to senior management in R&D and support, write RCAs, and define next steps.
- Document actions in runbooks and then into automation using Python, Lambda, shell scripts, ArgoCD, and Ansible.
- Focus on the system's observability, availability, reliability, performance/latency, and monitoring
- Conduct periodic on-call duties and emergency response
What You'll Bring
- At least 3+ years of experience as an SRE, Infra Backend in a SaaS environment.
- You are curious, self-motivated, easy to work with, responsible, and production-aware—fast learner and able to take a project from POC to production, while handling decision-making and communication.
- Experience with Coding languages - Python/JavaScript/Bash (Must)
- At least 3+ years of experience with Alerting & Monitoring systems such as DataDog, Coralogix / Splunk / New Relic / Prometheus
- Experience working with Linux systems from kernel to shell and beyond
- Cloud systems such as AWS / Google Cloud / Azure
- Configuration management, such as Ansible/Chef/Puppet/ArgoCD
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
- SCM - Git/bitbucket/gitlab/Phabricator/gerrit
- High Analytical & Troubleshooting skills - ability to solve complex problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset

About the team
The SRE Incident Response team is responsible for handling critical application\infrastructure alerts, orchestrating the war room process and enabling first class observability and alerting systems.
Team members are located in several international locations (“follow the sun” model) to provide 24/7 availability.
We are a team of unique individuals, experienced and independent, who get things done.
On-call coverage is 7 days a week, starting at noon, with the shift ending at 6:00pm.
This position is fully remote, candidates required to be in US Pacific time.
What You'll Do
As part of your role, you would improve and establish new monitoring, alerting, and observability of services using a wide range of tools. Additionally, you would handle critical alerts and incidents and work directly with engineering and DevOps to improve and optimize availability.
