Woolpert is hiring a Survey Crew Chief to join our dynamic Survey team in Virginia Beach, VA. The Survey Crew Chief is a technical position within the survey and geomatics discipline, responsible for leading a survey crew in the field for various types of projects, including land title, transportation, energy, aviation, and land development surveys. Under the guidance of the Survey Team Leader, this role involves performing field survey work, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with industry standards and company procedures. The Survey Crew Chief/Survey Party Chief position offers potential advancement to Senior Survey Crew Chief/Senior Survey Party Chief and higher managerial roles within the surveying and geomatics discipline and Infrastructure sector markets and practices. There are opportunities to specialize in niche areas of surveying such as advance manufacturing, geodetic control, transportation, aviation, hydrographic surveying, or photogrammetry/remote sensing. Continuous professional development and training will be provided to stay updated with advancements in surveying technology and methods. Leading large-scale and high-profile projects, you will have the chance to significantly contribute to the company’s growth and reputation.
This position is eligible for a one-time signing bonus in the amount of $3,000, to be paid on the employee’s first regular payroll following hire. The signing bonus is contingent upon the employee completing 12 months of continuous service. If the employee voluntarily resigns or is terminated for cause prior to completing one year of employment, the signing bonus must be repaid in full in accordance with company policy.

We’re looking for a hands-on Test Engineer to help operate, test, and improve a small-scale biochar pilot system in Portsmouth, VA. This is a field-based role at the intersection of waste processing, thermal conversion, and climate technology.
Our mission is to turn difficult waste streams into valuable products while helping build durable carbon removal solutions. This role is a great fit for someone who wants to work on real hardware, real waste streams, and real climate impact — not just theory. You’ll play a key part in generating the data, operational insight, and test discipline needed to scale a promising carbon removal pathway.
We’re especially interested in candidates with experience in the waste, biomass, organics, high temperature processing or engineered fuels industries who are excited by the opportunity to apply that experience to a climate-focused startup environment.

Overview
When CANES changed in the fleet, were you responsible for ensuring your Sailors were trained to the new standard? Did others rely on you to turn system updates into clear, practical instructions that worked on the deckplates? DLH is seeking a Technical Instructor / Course Developer to support CANES and C4I modernization efforts focused on updating and developing curriculum aligned to the latest fleet baseline.
This position is primarily focused on curriculum development. You will review system updates, configuration changes, and fleet requirements, then build and refine training products that accurately reflect current CANES capabilities. Your work will directly impact fleet readiness by ensuring Sailors are trained to the operational standard required across today’s Navy.
Classroom and hands-on instruction will be required, but the core mission is disciplined course development using Navy authoring tools and structured training processes. Success requires strong shipboard network expertise, attention to configuration detail, and the ability to translate real-world system administration experience into effective training.
