Your Impact
You’ll be part of an engineering team, participate in multiple activities to develop features of Axon’s camera products from inception, through design, development, and release. You live and breathe device software that require high stability and fast, consistent performance. You love working with the latest open source technologies, and can leverage your system design skills to make the right technical decisions on a system that needs to be bullet-proof.
Not only can you drive decisions among competing engineering trade-offs, your empathy with customers allows you to intuit innovative solutions for our customer problems. You will be working closely with product managers and designers to ensure we are building the right solution for our customers. You also enjoy mentoring other engineers, and love to be a hands-on teacher helping to up level the engineers around you as of a senior engineer.

What You’ll Do
Work Location: This role is based out of our Ho Chi Minh Office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. Report to: Software Engineering Manager
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy new features for Axon’s camera systems in in a secure, privacy preserving way.
- Coordinate across teams on a breadth of platforms including desktop, mobile applications, and backend services.
- Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews.
- Participate in technical issues troubleshooting and solving of the team.
- Resolve ambiguity in product requirements potentially resolve conflicting requirements.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
What you bring
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or an equivalent technical field.
- 2 years experience of professional embedded software development. Understanding of computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, run-time analysis, object-oriented design and code quality verification.
- Solid programming skills, and programming language experience with C/C++, Golang.
- Experience with embedded Linux development, writing unit test, integration and/or system level tests.
- Strong in embedded software problems troubleshooting and solving skills.
- Have knowledge of embedded networking tech stack (network protocols TCP/IP, UDP, Bluetooth, DNS, WiFi, etc.).
- Ability of quick learning and adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Good English communication.

The Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Automation QA Engineer to join our OESIS Framework team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and integration of our OESIS across diverse environments through an automation-first and AI-driven testing approach.
You will design intelligent test systems, validate OESIS behavior at system and integration levels, and leverage AI/ML techniques to enhance test effectiveness and efficiency.
What you will be doing:
Automation & OESIS Quality Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for OESIS validation (preferably using Robot Framework and Python).
- Drive an automation-first testing strategy for OESIS components and integrations.
- Ensure high test coverage across:
- Functional and regression testing
- API and integration testing
- System-level and compatibility testing
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
AI-First Testing Innovation
- Apply AI/ML techniques to improve test coverage, defect detection, and test maintenance.
- Explore and implement:
- Intelligent test generation
- Self-healing automation
- Smart test selection and failure analysis
- Continuously evaluate new AI-driven testing tools and approaches.
Shift-Left & Agile Collaboration
- Collaborate early with developers and product managers to improve testability and define quality criteria.
- Contribute to test strategy, design reviews, and requirement analysis.
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and align testing with sprint goals.
OESIS & Integration Testing
- Validate OESIS functionality across different operating systems, environments, and third-party integrations.
- Perform API testing (RESTful services) using tools like Postman or custom scripts.
- Ensure OESIS reliability, backward compatibility, and ease of integration for customers.
CI Integration & Continuous Testing
- Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Support continuous testing practices to ensure fast and reliable feedback cycles.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Investigate and reproduce customer-reported OESIS issues.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and QA processes.
- Promote a quality-first mindset within the team.
What We Need From You
- Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer (2 years minimum).
- Strong experience building or maintaining automation frameworks (Robot Framework preferred, or similar tools) (2 years minimum).
- Solid programming skills in Python (or Java/Groovy) (2 years minimum).
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, exploratory).
- Hands-on experience with API testing.
- Experience with CI pipelines and version control (Git) (1 years minimum)..
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good English communication skills is a plus.
AI-Focused Skills (Highly Preferred)
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts in software testing.
- Experience applying AI tools to improve testing efficiency or coverage.
- Interest in building AI-driven QA practices.
It Would Be Nice If You Have
- Experience testing SDKs, libraries, or system-level software.
- Knowledge of cross-platform testing (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Experience with performance or reliability testing (e.g., JMeter).
- Familiarity with debugging tools and logs for low-level/system issues.

As a senior Systems Support Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency, stability and availability of complex application systems. Your Impact
As a senior engineer on the team, you will be intimately involved in the architecture decisions that will shape this product. You live and breathe cloud services that require high availability and fast, consistent performance. You love working with the latest open source technologies, and can leverage your system design skills to make the right technical decisions on a system that needs to be bullet-proof.
Not only can you drive decisions among competing engineering trade-offs, your empathy with customers allows you to intuit innovative solutions for our customer problems. You will be working closely with product managers and designers to ensure we are building the right solution for our customers. You also enjoy mentoring other engineers, and love to be a hands-on teacher helping to up level the engineers around you.

What You’ll Do
Work Location: This role is based out of our Ho Chi Minh City office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. - Lead engineering architecture design reviews
- Set a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews
- Mentoring engineers
- Working across teams with Product, Design, and Engineering to create integrated solutions that delight our customers
- Improve our Engineering process, including long-term thinking, sprint planning and stand-ups
- Building services that adhere to our high bar on availability and latency in this mission-critical space
- Working with the latest open source technologies
- Have a passion for creating detailed design documents and delivering technical presentations to train and guide fellow engineers
What You Bring
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems
- Backend service experience in multiple, managed languages such as Go, Java, Scala, C#, or similar
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores
- Experience of building and operating public cloud hosted services on Azure or AWS, using Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools.
- Experience with designing platform components or foundational services that support multiple teams/products
- Understanding of platform security concerns: identity, access control, data encryption, and secure service-to-service communication
- Experience driving SLOs, SLAs, and incident response culture

Quality Assurance Engineer- Vietnam

About The Role (What you will get to do)
The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer will work with the team to develop, maintain, and execute automated tests primarily using Cypress.io.
The QA Engineer will serve as a critical member of the quality assurance team, and will be responsible for upholding test code quality standards through code review and coaching. This role will also develop tooling and lay technical foundations to enrich our QA capabilities, while participating in agile ceremonies with their assigned development teams and manually testing new features as they become code complete.
Responsibilities (What we expect)
- Develop & maintain test automation frameworks and automated tests to support day to day operations of web platforms.
- Work together with other Quality Engineers to ensure effective verification of test specifications and requirements.
- Identify areas requiring quality improvement, initiate and follow through on plans of action necessary for implementation.
- Develop new automated test scripts.
- Work closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to ensure effective validation of user needs and business requirements.
- Perform smoke tests and regression testing, both manual and automated, as part of the release cycle.
Qualifications (What you bring to the role)
- 4+ years of professional experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role highly focused on software testing automation.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript.
- Strong experience in designing, creating, and executing complex test plans.
- Strong experience with Playwright.
- Applied knowledge of manual testing.
- Experience in automated API testing, specifically using Postman.
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
- Be available as needed to assist in production deployments on alternating Friday evenings from approximately 4pm - 7pm PST.
- Proficiency in the English language is highly preferred.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with performance and/or security testing.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and/or Go.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and experience working with Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar tools.
How You'll Know You’re on the Right Track
- Within your first two weeks, you will have a basic understanding of the Persefoni platform, the roles of the teams that are building it, and where your contributions will be the most valuable. You will also recognize how we apply our culture code (i.e., operating principles) and be able to apply it in your daily activities. You will shadow other QA Engineers to understand the technology and tools we are using, our internal best practices, and start to develop a deep understanding of QA at Persefoni.
- Within your first four weeks, you will understand the needs of our growing QA infrastructure and begin to develop automated tests, quickly and effectively growing our test repo to increase coverage of existing features.
- Within six weeks of your start date, you will grow to fully support one or more application teams by developing automated tests for all new features being developed. You will actively participate in maintaining our automated suite as well as supporting our release processes via both manual and automated testing.
Job Type:
Full-time position located in Vietnam governed by Vietnam labour regulations, with the Persefoni entity being established in Vietnam.
