• Java driver, Java Reactive Streams Driver, Scala Driver, Kotlin Driver, Spark Connector, and other JVM-based projects
• Integrations with other open-source software, such as ORM frameworks and AI tools
• Testing, delivering and supporting the above across multiple operating systems, JDKs, and MongoDB releases

You'll have responsibilities beyond writing code, including

• Working with our Product, Server, Cloud, and other driver teams on designs and specifications for new customer-facing MongoDB features
• Investigating bugs and support requests from commercial and open-source customers for the libraries and tools our team maintains
• Seeking out speaking or writing opportunities to engage with our developer community

As a Security Operations Engineer at Brex, you will focus on preventing, detecting and responding to security threats across Brex's corporate and cloud environments. Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our San Francisco office. Responsibilities

• Work on a highly cross-functional team to prevent, detect and respond to security threats across Brex's corporate and cloud environments
• Perform security incident response, investigation, remediation, and documentation, participate in periodic threat hunting and security exercises
• Leading, scoping and building features, participate in designing, and maintaining tools and systems which support the team’s domains – corporate security, detection & response and infrastructure security 
• Collaborating and partnering with engineering and operations teams to drive remediation of security issues, while balancing prioritization of those security issues within SLA and teams’ respective backlogs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR equivalent training / fellowship OR 5+ years work experienceExperience working in a corporate security, detection & response or infrastructure security role with responsibilities for security alert triage and security incident response 
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and DevOps workflows (e.g. Buildkite, Flux, Git, Terraform) in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with deploying and maintaining some of the security services and tools owned by the team (e.g. - SIEM, data pipelines, SOAR, domain monitoring, endpoint tooling, email protection tooling, cloud security tools)
• While not primarily a development role, the team develops and maintains tools written in Go and Python, so experience with coding is required

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $192,000 - $240,000. Brex’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance function is at an exciting and pivotal point in our maturity journey and we’re seeking a team member who can seamlessly bridge compliance expertise with technical execution. As a Senior GRC Engineer, you will drive critical GRC processes that mitigate risk, keep us compliant, and build trust with our customers and partners. You'll evolve the technical foundation of our Trust program by automating security controls, building integrations between security tools and GRC platforms, and creating scalable processes that enable Brex to maintain compliance efficiently as we expand into new markets. You'll work at the intersection of security, engineering, and compliance — translating regulatory requirements into technical solutions and building automation that eliminates manual toil.

You'll leverage your deep understanding of SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, AI governance frameworks, and others to both design controls for emerging compliance requirements and mature existing programs through automation and continuous monitoring. You’ll support Trust Assurance, Third Party Risk Management, and other Security Risk Management initiatives. Requirements

We’re looking for a Staff Engineer -  User Experience (Backend) to join our Patient Platform team and shape the systems that power patient-facing experiences across our health technology platform. This team owns the APIs, orchestration services, and communication infrastructure that enable secure, reliable interactions between patients and our platform (Email, SMS, notifications).

As a Staff Engineer -  User Experience (Backend), you will be the technical authority for the Patient Platform domain, translating architectural strategy into scalable, production-ready distributed systems in partnership with cross-functional teams. You will drive the evolution of our API-first architecture (including BFF and orchestration patterns), define and enforce API contracts, and modernize tightly coupled services into scalable, event-driven components.

The Team

Platform Engineering is the department within SRE that is responsible for a range of critical infrastructure and operational functions that support the broader engineering organization. Among these are our multi-cloud-provider Kubernetes infrastructure, deployment machinery, and observability and alerting systems.

As a Sr. System Administrator on the Data Centers team, you’ll own both our hardware and cloud infrastructures, with a particular focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. As a Test Developer Co-op at Visier, you will work with the Test Enablement Team and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Visier application.

• Manual testing, building automated tests, and data validation
• Working with developers to create and sign off on test plans

As a Security Operations Engineer at Brex, you will focus on preventing, detecting and responding to security threats across Brex's corporate and cloud environments. You will use existing systems and develop tools to improve our security capabilities. Where you’ll work

Responsibilities

• Work on a highly cross-functional team to prevent, detect and respond to security threats across Brex's corporate and cloud environments
• Perform security incident response, investigation, remediation, and documentation, participate in periodic threat hunting and security exercises
• Leading, scoping and building features, participate in designing, and maintaining tools and systems which support the team’s domains – corporate security, detection & response and infrastructure security 
• Collaborating and partnering with engineering and operations teams to drive remediation of security issues, while balancing prioritization of those security issues within SLA and teams’ respective backlogs
• Caring about secure system design, valuing building things correctly, an understanding of a MVP approach and an empathetic mindset when working with others

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR equivalent training / fellowship OR 5+ years work experienceExperience working in a corporate security, detection & response or infrastructure security role with responsibilities for security alert triage and security incident response 
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and DevOps workflows (e.g. Buildkite, Flux, Git, Terraform) in cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with deploying and maintaining some of the security services and tools owned by the team (e.g. - SIEM, data pipelines, SOAR, domain monitoring, endpoint tooling, email protection tooling, cloud security tools)
• While not primarily a development role, the team develops and maintains tools written in Go and Python, so experience with coding is required

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $192,000 - $240,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
