ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Hardware Technician on the Sensor Integration team, you will provide critical technical support for the development and validation of advanced hardware solutions. Operating within the Hardware Department, this position is responsible for the mechanical integration and hardware-level testing of different sensor types, ensuring all devices are functionally mounted and optimized for deployment. Powerplant Engineering supports the company’s aircraft fleet by maintaining airworthiness and regulatory compliance as required by the FAA. This position requires experience with aircraft, large commercial gas turbine engines, federal regulations, development of modifications and repairs, project planning, and project management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, engine and APU configuration management; certification approvals; airworthiness directives; data analysis; project development and implementation; oversight of engine, APU, and component reliability solutions; and engine and APU repair and overhaul.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Mechanical Lab Engineer at LVT, you will sit at the intersection of design and reality. You will be the primary steward of our Mechanical Lab, ensuring our prototyping environment is optimized for rapid innovation. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will apply foundational engineering principles to support prototype builds, execute critical testing, and manage sustaining engineering activities. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on problem solver who is ready to transition from conceptual CAD designs to tangible, field-ready hardware.

This role is based in-office out of our facility in Spanish Fork, Utah, to facilitate daily lab management and physical hardware collaboration.

SUMMARY 

 The primary role of the Maintenance Mechanic is to provide competent & effective Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance support to the Plant and Facility operations in a safe manner. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, adjusting and repairing of plant machinery to meet industry standards while ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to USDA, OSHA, FDA, EPA and Local Government. The Product Compliance Engineer will be the primary technical authority responsible for ensuring that all electro-mechanical security systems and associated components (cameras, power systems, enclosures, networking hardware) meet global regulatory standards for market access, safety, and electromagnetic compatibility. This role is critical for the North American market (US and Canada) and involves driving compliance from the initial product design concept through mass production and sustaining engineering.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Regulatory Strategy & Design Support

• Standards Research: Research, interpret, and track regulatory and industry standards, including those from the Reach, RHOS, FCC, ISED, PTCRB, UL, and CSA, particularly for wireless, battery-powered, and outdoor electro-mechanical equipment.

• Design Guidance: Provide proactive, in-depth guidance to Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware engineering teams on current and future compliance requirements.

• Labeling and Documentation: Own the creation and approval of all required regulatory markings, product labels, and compliance sections within user manuals and technical files (e.g., Declaration of Conformity).

The Senior Product Quality Engineer will play a critical role throughout the entire product lifecycle — from concept and design through production, deployment, and end-of-life. This individual will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Quality teams to define product quality criteria, and validation methods that ensure exceptional performance and reliability. The ideal candidate is a proactive technical leader who can influence cross-functional stakeholders through data-driven insights, clear communication, and decisive action. Occasional travel will be required to support product builds, testing, and corrective-actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with Product Management, Design, and Manufacturing teams to balance cost, development, quality, and user experience.

• Drive design decisions using technical expertise, test and field data and risk analysis. 

• Lead development builds to ensure design, manufacturing processes, equipment, and suppliers are ready for mass production.

• Define and own product quality criteria, validation methods, and test standards from concept through end of life.

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and correlate lab testing to real-world use cases.

• Manage testing at test houses and manufacturing partners.

• Analyze test data and provide clear recommendations for product release, improvements, and corrective actions.

• Promote organizational adoption of quality tools and best practices, to enhance development efficiency and product robustness.

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in the development and manufacture of electronic devices. 

• Experience with new product introduction process, electro-mechanical assembly, MFG processes, fixture design, Mechanical modeling and quality statistics.

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to partner and test locations.

• Hands on experience with test equipment and general shop tools 

• Knowledge of Quality Methods, DOE, DFX, DFMEA, DMAIC.

• Familiarity with common specifications such as MIL, UL, FCC, CE, IP, etc.

• Work independently and proactively with very little direction or oversight

• Effective presentation and project management skills

Automate disaster recovery systems. Manage and identify cost-optimization managing FinOps. Develop
new ways of optimizing recyclable and scalable infrastructure including but not limited to containers,
Kubernetes, serverless technologies. Innovate and improve infrastructure and automation as the DevOps
space continues to evolve. Display creativity in finding ways to increase security while maintaining agility.
Lead in innovation and new and relevant technologies help the business continue to scale. Collaborate in
making system-wide architecture improvements with system architects. Work with Saltstack,
GlusterFS/FsX, AWS, ELK or other centralized logging, Load-Balancers: HAProxy or f5, Bash / Python 2.7+,
Docker, MongoDB & SQL, NewRelic.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in troubleshooting modern container and networking
technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, HAProxy, ELB); monitoring performance of entire networking stack,
using distribute tracing, profile and other networking tools; profiling tools for measuring CPU, Memory,
I/O, Disk, and process threads dumps; managing and integrating and automating for alerting and
escalation (PagerDuty, Teams, Slack); and monitoring RESTful microservices architecture design basic
HTTP protocols.
