The Solutions Engineer, Auth0 Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Solutions Engineers, the Sr Solutions Engineer is a functional business consultant, with a passion for technology and the advanced ability to develop, position and demonstrate product-specific solutions during sales cycles, while achieving quarterly and annual sales goals for an assigned territory.
What you’ll be doing
- Work alongside the sales team as the technical and domain expert of a customer-facing sales team to help Customers understand the value of Okta’s solutions
- Understand customer challenges and business issues and provide product demonstrations to align our solutions with customer needs
- Answer product feature and technical questions from customers, partners and Okta colleagues
- Plan and deliver Proof Of Concepts for customers who have more complex use cases, collaborating with other Okta engineering teams as needed
- Provide feedback to product management about product enhancements that can address customer needs and provide additional value
- Share and learn best practices and re-usable assets with other Solutions Engineers to enhance the quality and efficiency of the team
- Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation
- Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows
- At times, be asked to learn and lead your team as a subject matter expert (SME) with various product solutions and/or competitive knowledge
- Identity and Access Management (IAM) Expertise:
- 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience in IAM.
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.
- Experience with lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following development areas: web (JavaScript, HTML, frontend frameworks), mobile (iOS, Android), backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby), or IP-based real-time communications.
- Experience working with REST APIs, API Gateways, and SDKs.
- Deployed applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Vercel, etc.).
- Understanding of core security concerns in applications (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF).
- Customer Engagement & Communication:
- Passion for serving customers, demonstrated in a customer-facing role (ideally pre-sales, but consulting or support also valued).
- Ability to quickly communicate complex technical ideas, including on-the-fly whiteboard explanations.
- Elite communication skills, confident in dispensing knowledge and presenting to highly skilled and experienced audiences.
- Strategic & Organizational Skills:
- Territory management skills, including pipeline building and collaboration with sales counterparts for execution excellence.
- Diagramming experience for user journey flows, complex architecture diagrams, etc.

Founded in Israel in 2010, Tipalti is a global business headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area (Foster City) with offices in Tel Aviv, Plano, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Amsterdam, Tbilisi and Medellin.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Architecture Ownership: Evaluate, refactor, and evolve the WordPress/PHP and frontend JavaScript architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance across all marketing web properties.
- Coding Standards & Governance: Establish and document front-end/back-end standards (PHP, JS, HTML, CSS, performance, security basics); drive adoption through PR reviews and mentoring.
- Performance Optimization: Partner with WebOps to enhance site performance.
- Feature Delivery: Plan and implement new site features, embedding best practices for performance, accessibility, and maintainability in every release.
- Code Review & Quality: Maintain timely PR reviews, strengthen automated testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels, and ensure regressions are detected early through robust review and test practices.
- Technical Leadership: Provide direction, unblock issues, and ensure consistent output quality.
- Tech Debt Management: Systematically reduce technical debt by refactoring outdated templates, consolidating redundant scripts, and eliminating non-standard plugin dependencies to enhance platform stability and scalability.
- Analytics & Experimentation Enablement: Design, implement, and maintain robust tracking infrastructure and data layer taxonomy to support accurate analytics, event tagging, and A/B testing.
About you
- 8+ years professional web development experience; 4+ years hands-on WordPress/PHP development at scale.
- Demonstrated lead-level influence (mentoring, establishing standards)
- Deep proficiency in PHP, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS, with a strong grasp of code architecture principles (Model-View-Controller). Skilled in asynchronous programming patterns and API integrations (REST/JSON).
- Proven record of improving page performance and Core Web Vitals on marketing or content-heavy sites.
- Testing mindset: comfortable with unit (PHPUnit), integration, and end-to-end (Playwright or similar) test strategies.
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving cross-browser/front-end compatibility issues (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and responsive layout bugs across major mobile viewports.
- Experience conducting rigorous code reviews and enforcing coding standards.
- Ability to coordinate and technically lead contractors (provide clear tasks, feedback, quality gates).
- Ability to context switch between architectural work and hands-on feature implementation.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer on the Distribution Team, you'll be instrumental in developing and enhancing the products that connect Cloudbeds' ecosystem to the world's largest distribution channels. What You Bring to the Team:
- Design and implement robust backend features and improvements using PHP, with a strong focus on performance optimization and scalability for our distribution platform
- Build intuitive frontend experiences using React and Vue, ensuring seamless user interactions across the Cloudbeds ecosystem
- Architect secure solutions for handling financial transactions and sensitive personal data, applying security best practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code with comprehensive test coverage (unit, integration, end-to-end) to maintain high quality standards
- Lead technical discussions on complex concepts and requirements with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving alignment on backend and frontend architecture decisions
- Contribute to our ongoing initiative to migrate core platform components into microservices, helping shape the long-term technical vision
- Re-architect and refactor existing legacy systems to align with modern standards and project requirements, demonstrating ownership and commitment to continuous improvement
- Mentor team members through pair programming and code reviews, promoting best practices that elevate code quality and team processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, build, and ship high-quality features that delight our global customer base
What Sets You Up for Success:
- 5+ years of PHP web application software engineering experience
- 5+ years of experience with JS frameworks, Vue.js and React are preferred
- Solid experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker and containerized development workflows
- Demonstrated expertise in performance optimization and expert knowledge of relational databases, indexing, and searching technologies
- Strong understanding of security considerations, particularly for applications handling financial transactions and personal data
- Experience with test automation across all levels (unit, integration, end-to-end) and a passion for quality-driven development
- Proven track record of taking ownership of projects and delivering results independently
- Business-level English fluency (verbal and written) and excellent communication skills for collaborating across a globally distributed, remote-first team
Bonus Skills to Stand Out:
- Experience designing and building microservices and/or micro-frontends
- Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks (CodeIgniter, CakePHP, Laravel, Symfony)
- Cloud and infrastructure experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and Argo CD

Compensation: Depending on your skills and experience, you can expect your annual compensation to be between $145,000 - $165,000
