About the role

As Anduril expands its partnerships in the Indo-Pacific, we are seeking a Taiwan-based Communications & Public Affairs Manager to support strategic engagements and communications efforts in Taiwan.

The role will provide in-country strategic communications and public affairs support to strengthen Anduril’s presence and partnerships in Taiwan. This role will advise on Taiwan’s political, regulatory, and media landscape while supporting message development, stakeholder engagement, and media strategy.

The consultant will work closely with Anduril’s Global Communications, Business Development, and Government Relations teams. The role will report to the Director, Communications Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on Taiwan-specific communications strategy and stakeholder positioning.
• Localize and refine messaging, press materials, and executive briefings (Mandarin/English).
• Build and maintain relationships with key Taiwan-based media and policy stakeholders.
• Support proactive and reactive media engagement, including press inquiries and interviews.
• Monitor relevant media coverage and provide strategic insights and sentiment analysis.
• Prepare briefing materials for senior leadership engagements in Taiwan.
• Support communications planning for executive visits, announcements, and industry events.
• Identify and ideate on opportunities for Anduril to advance the dialogue around defense and technology in Taiwanese public discourse.
• Identify reputational risks and provide rapid-response communications guidance as needed.

Qualifications

• Ideally based in Taiwan with strong knowledge of Taiwan’s political, defense, and media landscape.
• 7+ years of experience in public affairs, strategic communications, or government advisory roles.
• Experience in defense, national security, advanced technology, or related sectors.
• Established media and stakeholder network in Taiwan.
• Native or near-native Mandarin fluency and professional English proficiency.
• Ability to operate effectively in sensitive national security contexts.

A senior individual contributor role responsible for executing working level government engagement in Taiwan, independently managing policy issues, regulatory monitoring, and cross functional coordination under the guidance of the Taiwan Government Affairs Director, with a strong focus on reliable execution and day to day government relations.

What You Will Do 

This role is a senior individual contributor position responsible for executing day to day government engagement under the direction of the Taiwan Government Affairs Director. The role focuses on working-level to division-director-level engagement with Taiwan government agencies and regulators, managing regulatory issues, maintaining consistent communication, and ensuring reliable follow through. The successful candidate will independently monitor policy and regulatory developments, assess implications for the business, prepare briefings and issue analyses, coordinate meetings and follow ups, and work closely with internal teams (including Legal, Compliance, Operations, and business units) to ensure government engagement is accurate, aligned, and executable. 

This is not a people management role; it is suited for a self driven professional with 7–10+ years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of Taiwan’s regulatory environment, proven ability to work independently with sound judgment, and excellent Mandarin and working level English communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of relevant experience in government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, or a closely related field

• Experience engaging with Taiwan government agencies or regulators at the working to division director level

• Strong understanding of Taiwan’s policy making and regulatory environment

• Ability to operate independently, manage multiple issues in parallel, and deliver reliable follow through

• Experience coordinating across internal functions such as Legal, Compliance, Operations, or business teams

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin, with working level English proficiency

Role Overview

he Public Affairs Events & Partnership Principal supports Coupang Taiwan’s public policy team through the planning and execution of public‑facing events, partnerships, and sponsorships. Working closely within the Public Policy teams and related internal teams, this individual contributor role focuses on delivering well‑run, strategically aligned activities that strengthen stakeholder relationships, reinforce policy positioning, and build goodwill with government, legislative, industry, and community audiences. This role does not involve people management, but requires strong execution capabilities, attention to detail, and sound judgment in navigating public‑facing initiatives.  

What You Will Do 

• Plan and execute public affairs events, stakeholder engagements, and partnership activities that support public policy and government‑relations objectives.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure events and partnerships are aligned with policy priorities, messaging guidance, and compliance requirements.
• Manage end‑to‑end execution, including partner coordination, budgets, logistics, vendor management, and post‑event follow‑up.
• Support ESG, CSR, and community initiatives that strengthen relationships with government stakeholders and allied organizations.
• Maintain structured records and reporting to track engagement effectiveness and ensure consistency across activities.

Basic Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in public affairs, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, events, or related roles
• Strong project‑management and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Ability to execute independently with attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment
•  Professional fluency in Mandarin and working proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience supporting public affairs, or policy‑related initiatives in a regulated or high‑visibility environment
• Demonstrated ability to design engagement platforms that resonate with diverse stakeholders, including government, legislative, industry, and community audiences
• Strong instinct for assessing stakeholder sensitivities and adjusting engagement approaches to reinforce constructive perception and goodwill
• Experience collaborating with PR, public policy, ESG, or external partners on reputation‑relevant initiatives
• Familiarity with Taiwan’s public‑sector, industry association, or third‑party stakeholder landscape

Remuneration

• Monthly salary of more than NT$ 40,000 (To be discussed)
