Your future role within QRT
The successful candidate will join the global infrastructure team at QRT. You will be responsible for architecting, engineering and subsequent delivery oversight across all aspects of the QRT network estate but with particular focus on our colocation infrastructure. The trading infrastructure is a combination of wide area connectivity and ultra-low latency trading infrastructures.
The team will deliver network solutions which enable full lifecycle management (architect, design, build, operate, retire) for our network components across core network switching, firewalls, load balancers, instrumentation/telemetry, network CMDB, and automation. It is crucial that any candidates must be able to demonstrate delivery of complex networks, at scale, which have been delivered through a software and automation-driven mindset.
You will have deep knowledge of high-performance networking, including detailed knowledge of the product capabilities and roadmaps from the likes of Cisco, Arista and Fortinet. You will have direct experience of delivering and managing network solutions supporting corporate infrastructure and exchange specific ultra-low latency infrastructure with associated automation, telemetry and instrumentation frameworks.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Network Operations Engineers are responsible for the network, security infrastructure that underpins Optiver’s trading and business operations across the Asia Pacific region. This includes office networks, data centre environments, and a complex international WAN. We are providing a reliable, fast and well supported network and Unix platform to run our core business on, this requires a good understanding of not only the technical network problem but also the broader business problem being solved. This team is successful when they are collaborating and solving complex problems with simple solutions and are constantly making optimizations in reliability, capacity, scalability and latency. Your responsibilities will include:
Support end-to-end infrastructure deployments in Asia Pacific data centers including but not limited to network and security platforms
Drive research, innovation, and implementation of infrastructure capacity and reliability optimizations in our Infrastructure environment
Collaborate with developers, researchers and our hardware engineers on projects that require a stable and scalable platform to operate on
WHO YOU ARE
Experience working in a multi zone, multi tier firewall architecture across APAC
Solid understanding of network transport and routing protocols such as TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, and Multicast
Experience designing, implementing and supporting DC environments.
Experience in monitoring and managing diverse international WAN networks.

Our engineers are directly responsible for the infrastructure underpinning all of Optiver's trading and non-trading activity in general, including office networks and a complex WAN environment. Staff Software Engineers lead the delivery of a variety of software integrated in to our products, acting as technical leads, extremely senior individual contributors, and/or as team leads that are also hands-on contributors. Low Latency
Dedicated to the development and execution of ultra-fast systems that underpin IMC’s trading infrastructure, you will be building and maintaining systems with minimal latency to support high-frequency trading. We’re seeking a Linux Engineer with deep systems expertise and Python/scripting experience to join our growing global team. You will be responsible for engineering and operating Linux at scale across our mission[1]critical environment, while also improving automation and self-service tools that enhance our ability to manage IMC’s servers.
The Linux Engineering team is responsible for the provisioning, configuration, performance, and reliability of a large-scale Linux infrastructure that supports a diverse set of workloads. These include ultra-low latency systems critical to high-frequency trading, as well as high-throughput environments that run research workflows and a wide variety of Kubernetes-based applications. This role requires strong Linux fundamentals applied at scale, with automation as a key enabler for consistency and efficiency across the fleet. Your initiative, collaborative attitude, problem-solving skills, and focus on continuous improvement will help ensure IMC stays competitive by bringing the latest technologies and practices into production.

About the Role:
Our Technical Operations Internship is an intensive 10-week experience with our frontline technology teams that are responsible for managing, monitoring, and improving the real-time trading environment at Jump Trading.

Our global High Performance Computing Team is looking to add an HPC Production Engineer in our Sydney office. The scale of our computing environments provides unique challenges in providing good performance and reliability. Several systems including compute, scheduling, networks, and large-scale data storage must integrate seamlessly to support data pipelines and quantitative research. The global security team is a team of technologists that develop and contribute across the full security stack. You will be (or will become) a "T-shaped" individual with enormous potential to further your career in the security domain. The ideal candidate will be passionate about security operations and automation, with experience in more than one (Network security, cloud security, application security). The candidate will have a good ability to automate (using a language such as Python or Go) and understand risk-based approach to security.
What You'll Do:
- Automate processes and procedures to create a highly resilient security infrastructure.
- Implement and make recommendations based on threat assessments at the network, server, and endpoint levels.
- Involved in Threat, Vulnerability Management and Attack Surface reduction exercises.
- Assist in performing investigations of anomalous activity and creating actionable reports to senior management.
- Analyze data sets and produce reports using basic tools (e.g. SQL, Python, Pandas).
- Work highly independently, with multiple stakeholders outside of the formal management structure.
