About the role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in classical Computer Vision and Deep Learning to contribute to the development of advanced computer vision algorithms focused on item authentication and fingerprinting.

In this role, you will drive the research, development, and deployment of state-of-the-art algorithms and models aimed at accurately determining the authenticity of items and assigning unique digital identities through image analysis. You will also oversee the optimisation of image capture solutions on edge devices and ensure models are interpretable, scalable, and robust.

As a senior team member, you will collaborate cross-functionally to define and deliver impactful projects and contribute to thought leadership in the computer vision domain.

What You'll Do:

Leadership & Strategy

• Define the technical roadmap for computer vision projects, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Advanced Research & Algorithm Development

• Design and develop cutting-edge computer vision models and algorithms for item authentication, fingerprinting, high-quality image capture and related applications.
• Lead innovation by staying ahead of trends in computer vision and machine learning, introducing novel techniques to improve model performance and scalability.

Scalable Systems & Model Deployment

• Oversee the deployment of machine learning models in production, ensuring robustness, efficiency, and seamless integration into systems.
• Optimise algorithms for edge device deployment, focusing on latency, accuracy, and power consumption.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand product requirements, define project scopes, and deliver actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate CV models into broader system architectures while maintaining system reliability and performance.

Operational Excellence

• Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation. Review and refine code, ensuring modularity, reliability, and adherence to industry standards.
• Analyse production data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in algorithms and systems.

Who you are:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s in Electronics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: 3-6 years in computer vision and machine learning development.
• Core Expertise:
  • • Proficient in both traditional CV techniques (feature extraction, image processing) and deep learning methodologies.
    • Advanced knowledge of Python and C++, with expertise in frameworks such as PyTorch, HuggingFace, OpenCV, and CUDA.
    • Extensive experience in designing, training, and deploying CV models at scale, including distributed training and inference pipelines.
    • Expertise in API design and deployment for ML model services such as FastAPI, TensorRT, Nvidia Triton, and Ray.
• Mathematical Proficiency: Strong foundation in probability, statistics, optimisation, linear algebra, and geometry.
• EdgeML Experience: Skilled in deploying and optimising models for iOS devices, with a focus on real-time data processing and resource efficiency.
• Collaboration & Communication: Ability to articulate technical concepts and collaborate in cross-functional, global teams.

If you are a visionary Computer Vision / ML engineer with extensive experience in crafting production-ready solutions, a passion for mentoring, and a desire to solve impactful challenges, we’d love to connect!

Required:

• 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).
• Deep understanding of Windows application architecture, including interop between managed code (.NET) and native code.
• Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows (e.g. Microsoft UI Automation or similar), and a dedication to building accessible and inclusive software.
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
• Strong communication skills; ability to articulate tradeoffs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.
• A user-centric mindset: focus on building polished, intuitive, and accessible experiences for end users.

Preferred / Bonus:

• Experience with writing automated tests for UI — unit tests, integration tests, UI automation tests; familiarity with relevant testing frameworks.
• Experience with performance optimization for desktop apps (memory usage, startup time, rendering performance, high-DPI support, responsiveness under load).
• Experience with localization/globalization, right-to-left UI support, internationalization, accessibility for multiple regions.
• Familiarity with telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, logging, and error monitoring in desktop applications.
• Previous experience in shaping CI/CD workflows, release pipelines, and deployment strategies for desktop applications.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of feature areas or modules and drive them long-term, including maintenance, refactoring, and technical debt management.

Your Role:

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will drive quality engineering and automation for modern distributed systems in high-load, microservice-based environments. You’ll build and evolve reliable UI + API automation, integrate it into CI/CD, and ensure fast, actionable feedback for engineering teams.Our core stack is Java, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, and RestAssured, executed via Jenkins, Selenium Grid, and BrowserStack. How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Design, develop, and continuously improve automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, RestAssured.
• Build and maintain end-to-end automation across UI, API, and integration layers, with strong focus on stability and maintainability.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins pipelines, ensuring fast feedback, consistent execution, and clear results.
• Execute and scale tests using Selenium Grid and BrowserStack (desktop + mobile where applicable).
• Analyze failures, identify root causes (test vs product issues), and collaborate with dev/QA teams to resolve defects efficiently.
• Contribute to test strategy: coverage decisions, flakiness reduction, execution optimization, and framework standards.
• Ensure traceability and documentation via Jira, Confluence, and Xray (test plans, execution, coverage reporting).
• Mentor team members, promote best practices, and support a culture of continuous improvement.
• Leverage productivity tools (Rovo, Copilot, Cursor) responsibly to improve efficiency while maintaining code quality.

Who You Are:

• 5+ years in software testing, including 3+ years in test automation (Senior-level ownership expected).
• Strong OOP and hands-on automation development experience in Java.
• Proven experience with:
• Selenium WebDriver (robust UI automation practices, synchronization strategies)
• Cucumber (BDD design, reusable steps, readable scenarios)
• TestNG (suites, parallel execution, listeners)
• Maven (build lifecycle, dependency management)
• RestAssured (API automation, auth, validation, assertions)
• CI/CD expertise with Jenkins (pipelines/jobs, execution gating, artifacts).
• Experience executing tests in remote environments: Selenium Grid and/or BrowserStack.
• Strong Git knowledge (Bitbucket preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing (headers/cookies, payloads, collections, environments, variables, authentication).
• Experience with Jira + Confluence; Xray for test management and traceability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams.

Nice to Have / Advantage

• Database validation experience (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB).
• Appium experience for mobile automation (Android/iOS).
• Experience testing on real mobile devices locally (device setup, debugging, stability, connectivity), in addition to cloud providers.
• Playwright experience (or willingness to learn and evaluate fit for specific test types).
• Experience in Performance testing with Gatling and/or Apache JMeter
• Docker/Kubernetes familiarity; microservices and distributed systems testing.
• Linux shell/scripting skills.
• Experience reducing flakiness and improving reliability (retry strategy design, stability patterns, observability).
