Overview

The COO & Deputy Trust Officer will oversee the bank’s daily operational performance, ensure safe and sound delivery of stablecoin issuance, custody, reserve and settlement workflows, and help fulfill fiduciary obligations under OCC expectations (12 CFR Part 9).

Key Responsibilities

1. Bank Operations Leadership

• Lead all day-to-day operational functions for the trust bank including issuance operations, custody operations, reserve operations, reconciliation, and customer settlement flows.

The Role

SoFi is launching a brand-new commercial banking product — and we need a Senior Staff Engineer to be its technical backbone.

Commercial Banking is SoFi's entry into institutional commercial banking. We're building the infrastructure that lets large institutional clients in crypto, fintech, and enterprise finance manage their money at SoFi — real-time payments, multi-account treasury management, and a closed-loop settlement network that operates 24/7/365. The systems you design will handle real institutional money from day one. The network you help architect — SEN (SoFi Exchange Network) — could become the default settlement rail for the industry.

As the Senior Staff Engineer on the Commercial Banking team, you'll be the technical leader the team looks to for the hardest problems — system design, API contracts, payment correctness, performance, and reliability. You'll set the technical bar, make architectural decisions that stick, and write the code that proves them out. This is a hands-on role: you'll be deep in the codebase while also shaping the direction for the engineers around you.

What You'll Do

Architect and Build

• Own the technical architecture for Commercial Banking's core systems — payment orchestration, client onboarding workflows, API Gateway, real-time settlement, and the services that power the client-facing experience.
• Design and implement the SoFi Exchange Network (SEN) — a real-time, 24/7/365 closed-loop payment network enabling instant settlement between SoFi commercial clients.
• Build the client onboarding orchestrator: a stateful workflow engine that provisions entities, bank accounts, entitlements, payment rails, limits, and pricing — with retry, rollback, and idempotency guarantees.

• Own the client-facing payment experience - design end-to-end UX for how treasury teams initiate, approve, track, and reconcile payments across portal and API. Design for commercial complexity: batch payments, multi-approver workflows, scheduled transfers, beneficiary management.
• Own the API product and developer experience - define payment and webhook API contracts, error handling, idempotency, and versioning. Build a sandbox and documentation experience that gets a client from signed contract to first successful API payment with minimal friction.

Build It

About the role

As Commercial Counsel, Networking & Datacenter Operations for Compute and Infrastructure at Anthropic, you’ll lead legal execution for the connective tissue and the steady-state running of Anthropic’s Infrastructure. This role spans dark fiber and IRU agreements, IP transit and peering, subsea-cable capacity, network-equipment procurement, and the Operations & Maintenance (O&M), facilities-management, commissioning, decommissioning, and resilience contracting that keeps production sites online once the keys are handed over.

You’ll work in close partnership with Anthropic teammates in Datacenter Legal, Strategic Technology & Procurement, Infrastructure Security, Treasury/Risk and Public Policy, in addition to specialized outside counsel. You will serve as the primary legal owner ensuring external work product aligns with Anthropic’s commercial objectives and integrates with our overall compute and availability strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate dark fiber and IRU agreements (long-haul and metro), wavelength and lit-capacity services, IP transit and peering (settlement-free and paid), internet-exchange participation, subsea-cable capacity and landing-party agreements, carrier-hotel and meet-me-room agreements, and cross-connect MSAs

• Support the telecom regulatory interface, including FCC Section 214 authorizations, submarine-cable landing licenses and Team Telecom (EO 13913 Committee) review, the FCC’s 2025 subsea-cable security and IRU rules, private-carrier status determinations, and rights-of-way, franchise, and pole-attachment where Anthropic builds first-party fiber — working in close coordination with Infrastructure Security Legal on the national-security overlay for subsea capacity and landing-party participation

• Structure and negotiate O&M and integrated-facilities-management contracts, critical-spares and break-fix agreements, smart-hands SLAs with colo landlords, and disaster recovery and resilience contracting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation. Pay & Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation. The base pay for this position ranges from $89K/year in our lowest geographic market to $153K/year in our  highest geographic market. What you’ll do

As Director of Product Management, Banking + AP, you will define and drive the strategy for one of Brex’s most critical domains: the Operating Account platform — the combination of Banking and Accounts Payable that makes Brex the place customers run payments from day one. Brex's banking product is used by tens of thousands of businesses to store $10B+ in total deposits, and our AP platform moves over $1B across hundreds of thousands of transactions each month. This role will own the end-to-end product vision and execution across customer accounts, money movement, treasury capabilities, liquidity management, accounts payable workflows, and regulatory-compliant banking services.

You will define how Brex wins in this category — turning banking and payables into a unified system customers choose to run their business. By aligning product capabilities with customer buying criteria, partner ecosystems, and segment needs, you will strengthen Brex’s competitive differentiation and expand our role at the center of business finance.

You will set multi-year platform strategy, lead and develop a team of Product Managers, and partner deeply with Engineering, Design, GTM, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external banking partners. Responsibilities

Define and drive Operating Account strategy

• Own the multi-year product vision and roadmap for Brex's Operating Account platform spanning Banking and Accounts Payable — aligned to company-level priorities.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $340,000 - $425,000.
