About the role

This position is ideal for a highly analytical finance professional who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure, energy, and capital markets. ABOUT THE ROLE

Inkhouse is searching for a Senior Account Executive (SAE) who will be responsible for juggling multiple accounts and writing effectively across different mediums for varied audiences. This fast-paced, deadline-oriented role will be responsible for driving day-to-day media relations and working effectively as a member of key account teams. This person will be the lead media relations expert on their assigned accounts especially with top-tier press. The SAE is a highly creative self-starter, with excellent writing skills, and strong detail-orientation and will provide guidance to other team members on your accounts.

Location: This role is based in our Boston, MA; San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Seattle, WA; Washington, DC; San Diego, CA; Denver, CO; or Austin, TX office and requires in-office presence 3 days a week.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

• Core media relations person on account: (drafts weekly pitch, assigns targets) 
• Backup client contact on all communications
• Be an active participant on client calls by contributing to brainstorming, flagging concerns and problem-solving with executive members of our client teams
• Writes top-tier press releases, bylines, blog posts
• Writes pitches for campaigns and launches to serve as template for the team 
• Drafts amplification memos for each media hit
• Stays on top of news – leverage for regular proactive outreach
• Comes up with creative ideas for clients each week
• Stays up-to-date on PR trends and client trends
• Suggests social media ideas and stays up-to-date for the team on new social media platforms/ideas/information 
• Mentors junior staff and role models positive Inkhouse values and behaviors
• Oversees and offers strategic counsel on speaking and awards programs
• Manages analyst programs
• Liaisons with design team as needed for infographic/design work

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• 4–6 years of progressive experience in public relations
• Must be passionate and interested in working on tech accounts, demonstrating enthusiasm and expertise
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling stories, pitches and professional client correspondence
• Savviness and creativity in media relations and pitching, speaking opportunities and award submissions with the capability to identify new targets and thoughtful angles until the story lands
• Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and with confidence, both verbally and in writing, with varying levels of staff, clients and the media, and is comfortable thinking on their feet
• A demonstrated track record handling multiple client accounts simultaneously, working quickly and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Manages editorial calendars
• Serve as a core social media practitioner, developing platform-specific content and maintaining brand voice across channels
• Conceptualize creative social media ideas and recommend amplification strategies to extend the reach of earned media wins
• Prepares briefing sheets in advance of press/analyst calls and meetings
• Fully informed on all industry and client news
• Use HARO and ProfNet to identify relevant opportunities
• Stay fully informed on client business updates, competitive landscape, and broader industry trends to inform strategy and outreach
• Monitor and analyze PR, media, and social trends, proactively applying insights to client programs
• Manage multiple deadlines and workstreams across accounts while maintaining high attention to detail
• Support onboarding and training of new team members, sharing best practices and contributing to team development
