Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Software Engineer with deep technical expertise in Security and a passion for building secure, reliable, and scalable systems. What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to help develop and scale the Lightning AI platform, spanning APIs, infrastructure, billing, security, and integrations. MongoDB is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the strategy and execution for two tightly integrated layers of our core database: Replication and Storage Engines (WiredTiger). Together, these layers underpin MongoDB’s durability, availability, and performance for customers running mission-critical workloads.

This role spans two very different levels of customer visibility. Replication is, at its core, about keeping a distributed system in sync. Customer-facing concepts like failover, read concerns, and write concerns are how those guarantees surface. Customers understand and articulate those directly. WiredTiger internals like eviction, checkpointing, and cache management are invisible to customers, but are often blamed when "the system is misbehaving". You’ll need to move comfortably between both worlds: translating ambiguous customer symptoms into precise priorities for the storage engines team deep in the stack, while driving the replication roadmap and partnering with fellow database product managers on cross-cutting concerns.

The Team

Platform Engineering is the department within SRE that is responsible for a range of critical infrastructure and operational functions that support the broader engineering organization. Among these are our multi-cloud-provider Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, load balancing (including our public-facing edge and internal service mesh), and observability and alerting systems.

The Fleet Management team provides the core runtime environment that empowers our developers to build and ship products to delight our customers. We manage the end-to-end lifecycle of our Kubernetes fleet, alongside the critical components that ensure cluster reliability and security (e.g., CoreDNS, cert-manager, and Gatekeeper). • Manage a team of 6-8 engineers, fostering a positive culture, handling career growth and performance conversations, and proactively removing blockers

We are looking for an experienced Senior or Staff Engineer for our SRE, InfraSec team, to guide the security of our cloud-based infrastructure. As a Staff SRE, you will be very hands-on technically while also mentoring a small team of SREs.

The InfraSec team collaborates closely with other engineering teams to ensure that our infrastructure adheres to the highest security standards. They build essential security infrastructure and implement controls that reinforce the platform’s security posture.

We are hiring an experienced Security Software Engineer (Staff or Senior) for our Infrastructure Security team to design and build scalable security controls and services within MongoDB Atlas multi-cloud infrastructure.

The team sits within the Site Reliability Engineering organization and works with other engineering teams to ensure that our infrastructure adheres to the highest security standards.

Role Overview

As a Staff Engineer on the Security Infrastructure team, you will build the platform that enables Coupang to win and grow our customers’ confidence while rapidly expanding and scaling our services. 

The Security Infrastructure team builds core security services and libraries used by all Coupang services to secure themselves and our customers. Our work supports teams across Coupang and thousands of microservices. We aim to make Coupang and its products more secure while also making our engineers more productive. Team Overview

The Platform Security Engineering (PSE) team builds security into Anduril's products from architecture through production. We work directly with business lines to design and implement security solutions tailored to their systems — then promote proven patterns into shared, composable platform services that the entire organization can use. Our mission is threefold: build security solutions for business lines, promote those solutions into the platform, and enable teams to build and operate securely on their own. The work spans cryptographic protocols, operating system hardening, secure boot, hardware security integration, authentication systems, and distributed protocol security across embedded, edge, and cloud environments.

Job Description

We're looking for senior and staff-level software engineers to design and build security solutions across Anduril's product ecosystem. You'll partner directly with business line engineering teams to understand their systems, threat models, and security requirements — then design and implement solutions that range from custom, business-line-specific implementations to shared platform services. The problems you'll work on span the full stack — secure hardware, operating systems, container orchestration, distributed services, and cloud infrastructure — and you'll move between them as the mission demands. We value engineers who are strong generalists: comfortable learning new domains quickly and working across security boundaries rather than specializing in just one.

We're also open to hiring talented software engineers with less security-specific experience, provided they have a strong track record building production software at scale, learn fast, and are motivated to go deep on security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement security features and services for business line products — including custom solutions when platform capabilities don't yet exist
• Identify patterns across business line implementations and promote them into shared, composable platform security services

ABOUT THE JOB

The Infrastructure Engineering organization is looking for an accomplished Systems Engineer to lead our acquisition integration engineering practice. This pivotal role will own the end-to-end infrastructure engineering lifecycle of integrating newly acquired businesses into Anduril's existing ecosystem. You will be instrumental in defining, executing, and maturing our integration processes, from initial discovery and assessment through migration execution and hypercare. This individual will possess a remarkable dynamic range, capable of engaging effectively with company founders and executives, producing architecture and roadmaps, and rolling up their sleeves to perform hands-on engineering work. The Developer Platform team builds the tools and infrastructure that power software development at Anduril. • Proven experience designing and implementing observability stacks (metrics, logging, tracing) using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure as code practices
• Demonstrated ability to debug complex distributed systems issues across multiple layers of the stack
• Track record of improving system reliability through architectural changes, not just operational band-aids
• Strong incident management and communication skills, with experience leading responses to critical outages
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with defense, aerospace, or other mission-critical systems where downtime has severe consequences
• Expertise in performance optimization and capacity planning for high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Knowledge of chaos engineering principles and experience implementing resilience testing frameworks
• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and advanced traffic management patterns
• Background in database operations and optimization (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or similar at scale)
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms and deployment automation (ArgoCD, FluxCD, Spinnaker, Jenkins)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including load balancing, DNS, TLS/SSL, and network security
• Experience with configuration management and secrets management solutions (Vault, Sealed Secrets, SOPS)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Active Secret or higher security clearance
