About This Role

Think Academy U.S. Silicon Valley is seeking a Future Leadership Program (Business Operations + Teaching) for our Teaching Team. This role is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals who are passionate about math education and aspire to become future leaders in the industry. 

This role is involved of teaching and business operations, where you will teach while supporting key operational functions across different school departments.This is a fast-track leadership program, with the opportunity to grow into roles such as Department Manager, or other leadership positions.

1.Business Operation 

• Develop and implement effective teaching management strategies to enhance the quality of lesson delivered by our teaching staff-
• Provide guidance to teachers through mock lessons and coaching sessions
• Conduct classroom observations and provide actionable feedback
• Collaborate with teaching staff to identify improvement areas and create development plans
• Work cross-functionally with operations and marketing teams to support enrollment and program success

1. Math Instruction ( Required )

- Teach 6–7 classes (12–14 hours/week) to start
- Weekday office hours (Wed–Fri morning) for prep, training, parent/student communication/ team meetings

About This Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Middle & High School Program Designer to lead our "Credit for Advancement" initiative across California. Your core objective is to ensure Think Academy’s Middle and High School math courses are recognized for official academic credit by California school districts.

You will navigate the complexities of the UC A-G approval process, lead WASC/Cognia accreditation efforts, and design the instructional infrastructure (curriculum and teacher training) required to meet California’s rigorous secondary education standards.

1. California Standards Alignment & Curriculum Design

• Audit and adapt Think Academy’s secondary math curriculum to ensure 100% alignment with the California Common Core State Standards (CA CCSS) and the California Mathematics Framework.
• Lead the submission and maintenance of courses for UC A-G approval, ensuring our curriculum meets the requirements for California college entrance.
• Develop comprehensive course catalogs, instructional materials, and assessment rubrics that satisfy the "Evidence of Rigor" required by California public and private school systems.

2. State-Wide Accreditation & Compliance

• Direct the institutional accreditation process for the California region (specifically WASC and Cognia), managing self-studies, site visits, and annual reporting.
• Act as the subject matter expert on California Education Code regarding Credit by Examination and Alternative Credit Options.
• Standardize transcript generation and student record-keeping to ensure seamless credit transferability to California school district SIS (Student Information Systems).

3. Accredited Teacher Training & Certification

• Design a "California Professional Standards" training program for our instructional staff, focusing on differentiated instruction and state-aligned pedagogical techniques.
• Establish and monitor teacher evaluation frameworks required by accreditation bodies to maintain high instructional quality.
• Oversee the professional development (PD) hours and certification tracking for our secondary school faculty.

4. Institutional Relations & California Parent Advocacy

• Build strategic partnerships with California School Districts (LEAs) to establish formal Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for credit recognition.
• Empower parents across California by creating "Credit Advancement Guidebooks" and hosting webinars on how to navigate the credit transfer process with school counselors.
• Provide direct advocacy support for students seeking to place into advanced math tracks using Think Academy credits.

• Educational Background: Master’s degree in School Administration, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep expertise in California secondary education requirements, including UC A-G, WASC accreditation, and CA CCSS.
• Bilingual Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in English is required.
• Strategic Communication: Proven ability to negotiate with school district administrators, registrars, and department chairs.

• Prior experience as a California School Principal, Assistant Principal, or Registrar.
• Direct experience leading a school through a successful WASC accreditation cycle.
• Existing network within major California school districts (e.g., LAUSD, SFUSD, San Jose Unified).

• Pioneering Work: You will define the standard for how supplemental Ed-Tech programs integrate with the California public school system.
• Scalability: While starting in California, your work will serve as the blueprint for our national accreditation strategy.

3. Accredited Teacher Training & Certification

About This Role

Think Academy U.S. is seeking a Learning Consultant and Math Teacher with excellent organizational skills and a strong sense of responsibility. As a Learning Consultant at Think Academy, your responsibilities include:

• Follow up with potential clients who register or inquire through Think Academy’s official website, ensuring timely engagement and personalized communication.
• Conduct consultation calls, text messages or emails to understand students’ academic goals and recommend appropriate courses.
• Building strong relationships with parents by understanding their children’s academic needs and recommending suitable programs.
• Developing and execute plans to meet weekly/monthly enrollment targets and improve resource conversion rates.
• Collaborate with the marketing and academic teams to give feedback on lead quality, user needs, and messaging effectiveness.
• Analyze personal performance data weekly and proactively adjust communication tactics to achieve and exceed enrollment goals.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree required; a degree in Teaching, Education, or Mathematics is preferred.
• Fluency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is essential
• Previous experience teaching or coaching middle school students
• Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about the education industry, and has the strong will to motivate and inspire students; must be patient and empathetic with working with students

A successful Assistant Principal: 

The successful Assistant Principal will work closely with other members of the school leadership team to uphold high expectations, foster social development, and facilitate the intellectual growth of our educators and scholars. School leadership team members at Alpha approach coaching and instruction with patience, creativity, and a growth mindset, while using activities and instructional methods that will motivate our staff and scholars. The successful Assistant Principal is reflective in their practice and is willing to engage in conversations around educational equity and inclusivity. At Alpha, you will uphold rigorous expectations for all staff and students, while leading from a place of empathy and understanding. The position works with key leaders in schools and organizational teams to push school-related strategic initiatives, develop and monitor related projects, and assist with implementation in the school site.

The Assistant Principal is expected to:

Embody the mission, vision, and core beliefs of the school and the Alpha Public Schools network

• Promote Alpha’s staff culture, mindsets, and values by managing self and others in a manner that creates a healthy, high-achieving environment where staff feel challenged, supported, and valued 
• Create opportunities for meaningful parent involvement and champion parent engagement.

Execute all day-to-day leadership responsibilities:

• Support the principal in achieving ambitious school-wide vision, goals, and targets aligned to the Alpha network vision, goals, targets, and strategic priorities, leading students to master rigorous academic content that prepares them for college
• Use data-driven cycles with leaders and teachers to analyze academic and culture data, problem solve, and generate next steps and accountability systems

Support teacher development

• Ensure high-rigor, high-engagement instruction in all classrooms through instructional coaching, professional development, and performance management
• Execute on school-wide behavior management systems, expectations, and incentives across the school site and refine as necessary 
• Plan and lead teacher professional development sessions
• Formally supervise, observe, and evaluate school staff
• Support the needs of diverse learners, by ensuring differentiated instruction in classrooms, appropriate tiered interventions, and attending IEP and 504

• Experience with performance management

A successful Principal in Residence (TK-8)

A successful Principal in Residence (PIR) aspires to be a principal at Alpha within the next 1–2 years and is excited to work alongside Alpha’s TK–8 school leaders to develop the skills and expertise required for the principal role. Deeply committed to Alpha’s mission, the PIR will actively contribute to the network’s success to ensure, alongside colleagues, that the network is well-positioned to meet its north star goal of 75% of alumni graduating from a 4-year college within 6 years, as well as three research-backed milestones: 

• Students read at or above grade level by the end of third grade. 
• Students demonstrate algebra readiness by the end of 8th grade, positioning them for algebra and advanced math coursework in high school.
• Students complete the full A–G course sequence with grades of C or better and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA across those courses, ensuring eligibility for CSU/UC admission and preparation for long-term college success.

Over a full school year, the PIR will spend approximately 3–4 months at each TK–8 campus. Working closely with each principal and under the direction of the Managing Director of Schools, the PIR will be supported to develop toward full proficiency and ownership of a set of school leadership responsibilities during each rotation. These responsibilities include the planning, preparation, facilitation, and follow-up related to:

1. Coaching and development of assistant principals and/or teachers
2. Leadership of school-wide data cycles, including facilitation of School Leadership Team (SLT) data meetings
3. Management of SLT collaboration and alignment to advance school priorities, including facilitation of SLT strategy meetings and project management 

The ideal candidate brings a relentless commitment to ensuring every child has what they need to excel academically and in life, a passion for leading teams to reach their full potential, and an authentic interest in personal leadership development. They also have extensive experience coaching teachers and/or leaders, with the ability to quickly build relationships anchored in trust and balanced with accountability for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide High-Impact Coaching to Assistant Principals and/or Teachers

Over the course of each 3–4 month rotation, the PIR will build the skills and competencies to effectively:

• Prepare for classroom and coaching observations by analyzing multiple data sources, reviewing lesson/coaching plans, and developing hypotheses about educator strengths and opportunities.
• Accurately diagnose high-leverage instructional or leadership skills for development, aligned to Alpha’s rubrics and frameworks.
• Communicate clear, leader-determined targets and goals and refine them collaboratively with the teacher/AP, creating space for educator reflection and ownership.
• Plan and facilitate coaching conversations that model high expectations, emotional intelligence, agility, and actionable next steps aligned to student achievement.
• Monitor progress and adjust coaching plans based on implementation data, educator growth, and evolving school priorities.
  
  

Lead School-Wide Data Cycles

Over the course of each rotation, the PIR will build the skills and competencies to effectively:

• Prepare for school leadership data meetings using multiple data sources to anticipate key insights and highest-leverage takeaways in alignment with Alpha’s top-line goal and milestones.
• Design and facilitate high-quality data meetings that support school leaders to analyze data, identify trends, and determine next instructional steps.
• Ensure schoolwide data systems and routines are implemented consistently to drive clarity, alignment, and accountability.
• Collaborate with the principal to identify or refine schoolwide academic priorities and align data cycles to those priorities, ensuring progress is measured and communicated clearly to stakeholders.
  
  

Strengthen Alignment and Collaboration Across the School Leadership Team

Over the course of each rotation, the PIR will build the skills and competencies to effectively:

• Plan, prepare for, and facilitate high-quality leadership strategy meetings that center school priorities, monitor progress, and support problem-solving.
• Create consistent structures and routines that help the SLT align around key schoolwide objectives, instructional practices, and culture systems.
• Support the principal in driving coherence across academic, culture, and operational priorities, ensuring consistent communication and aligned action.
• Build strong working relationships with SLT members to foster psychological safety, collaborative decision-making, and shared accountability for student outcomes.
• Establish systems for tracking SLT commitments, follow-ups, and deliverables to ensure progress and accelerate team effectiveness.
• Model effective leadership behaviors—including clarity, transparency, and strong communication—to positively influence adult culture and team dynamics.

Execute Additional School Leadership Responsibilities

Across all three TK–8 campuses, the PIR will also:

• Champion Alpha's milestones and initiatives/commitments.
• Participate in network-wide professional learning as both a learner and leader (supporting facilitators and providing feedback).
• Participate in school-wide professional learning as both a learner and facilitator.
• Work alongside principals and assistant principals to create and maintain strong school culture, including supporting school-wide behavioral systems and family engagement strategies.
• Work alongside principals and assistant principals to create and maintain strong adult culture.
• Manage components of daily school operations as assigned by the principal.
• Serve as acting principal when the principal is out of the office.

You Possess

• Bachelor’s Degree and CA Teaching Clear Credential (Required)
• Administrative Credential Preferred
• Progressively responsible school leadership experience, inclusive of instructional leadership and coaching roles, with at least three years in a leadership role (preferred: experience supporting grades TK–8)
• Demonstrated ability to drive academic results directly (minimum 3–5 years of effective teaching experience) and through others (in a leadership role)
• Proven commitment to APS’ mission and vision and to personal leadership development, aligned with the desire to become an APS principal within 1–2 years
• Deep understanding of the California Common Core Standards, best practices, and research-based teaching strategies, with the ability to apply this understanding to high-impact coaching and feedback cycles
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-impact coaching through data analysis, informed observations, and deep listening, resulting in identification of high-leverage skills and practices
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, supporting the ability to collaborate effectively with school leadership and network staff
• Demonstrated ability to balance professional development and support with accountability for school leaders and/or teachers
• Strong emotional agility and demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and establish productive working relationships with multiple stakeholders—including school leaders, teachers, network colleagues, families, and students
