You’ll join the Data Platform team, responsible for building the backend services and “data products” that power how data moves through the company. We create the core platform primitives — high-quality event streams, reliable access layers, and developer-friendly APIs/tools — so teams across the org can self-serve what they need and ship faster. You’ll contribute to backend services that create value from our company data, and help make our data platform more self-serve so product and engineering teams can easily create and operate event-driven architectures, publish/consume streams, define access models, and ship data products end-to-end. You’ll also work on LLM-adjacent services such as prompt categorization/taxonomy, enrichment, and metadata systems that turn raw telemetry into trusted, usable products — with mentorship and support from experienced engineers.

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
The Stream Compute team at Stripe builds and operates the infrastructure, tooling, and systems behind our Flink-powered stream processing systems. We're at the heart of several core asynchronous workflows, operating at significant scale and handling vast amounts of sensitive financial data. Our work powers intricate processes involving various critical financial operations and real-time analytics. We run globally distributed systems with high reliability and performance to meet Stripe's scaling, availability, and product needs, and we continually reduce operational toil by investing in automation and self-service tooling for upgrades, maintenance, and day-to-day operations. The team is distributed between Seattle, Toronto and remote locations.
What makes our team truly exciting is our commitment to our users: we ensure no event is dropped, state integrity is preserved, and support exactly-once processing as a first-class feature. Working at the intersection of real-time data processing and fintech innovation, we continuously push the boundaries of what's possible. Our focus on innovation, user experience, reliability, and compliance drives increased ROI and operational excellence, making us a crucial part of Stripe's success.
You'll help define and deliver the next generation of Stripe's Flink-first stream compute infrastructure—driving innovation to meet extremely high availability targets at global scale. Partnering with infrastructure engineers, adjacent platform teams, and the product orgs that depend on Flink every day, you'll set a long-term technical direction that scales with Stripe's growth while enabling reliable, efficient operations for years to come. You'll work on the hardest problems in operating Flink in production—state management, exactly-once processing, performance isolation, and automated recovery—so teams across Stripe can confidently build stateful stream processing applications on top of it.
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
Before Stripe, every growing internet platform had a payments team. Today, every growing internet platform has an Identity team. Identity verification has become core economic infrastructure for online businesses — enabling them to digitally verify their users' identities for fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and trust and safety purposes.
At Stripe, we're building something more ambitious than a verification product. Our vision is to build the world's most trusted store of verified identities — a single, global, reusable, risk-scored representation of every individual who interacts with Stripe and beyond. This Identity Store becomes a platform with compounding network effects: more verifications enrich the store; a richer store produces better fraud signals; better signals mean lower friction for trusted users; lower friction drives more adoption.
Our product today serves millions of verifications per month for customers like OpenAI, Shopify, and WhatNot, and powers identity verification across multiple internal Stripe products including Fraud, Link, Connect, and Crypto. The problems ahead — adversarial AI and deepfake defense, networked identity infrastructure, progressive verification platforms, and low friction KYC APIs — sit at the frontier of what's possible in identity engineering.
As a Staff Engineer on the Identity team, you will own the technical direction of one of Stripe's most strategically important product areas. This is not a role defined by task execution — it's a role defined by technical judgment, architectural influence, and the ability to turn an ambitious vision into a reliable, scalable system.
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Hightouch is the modern AI platform for marketing and growth teams. Our AI agents reimagine marketing workflows, allowing marketers to create content, plan campaigns, and execute strategies with transformational velocity and performance.
Hightouch is a rare company built on the intersection of two fundamental technological shifts: advances in LLMs and agentic AI, and the creation and rapid adoption of cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and Databricks. Building on these tailwinds, we’ve become a leader in AI marketing and partner with industry leaders like Domino’s, Chime, Spotify, Ramp, Whoop, Grammarly, and over 1000 others.
Our team focuses on making a meaningful impact for our customers. We approach challenges with first-principles thinking, move quickly and efficiently, and treat each other with compassion and kindness. We look for team members who are strong communicators, have a growth mindset, and are motivated and persistent in achieving our goals.
We are looking for a software engineer to join our Streaming Systems team, working on the high-throughput systems that collect, forward, and perform real time computation on billions of behavioral events from our customers’ users. You'll be building the infrastructure that ingests clickstream, product interaction, and transactional data into our platform. This data is the platform for our “Cursor for Marketers” AI agent product.
Our streaming products’ revenue has 10x’d over the past year, and we need to ensure that we continue to scale. Our infrastructure needs to handle millions of messages per second at single second latency end to end. Recently, we added a computation engine that allows personalizing user experiences in real-time based on live behavior; we’re seeing 7-figure market response in the first few months and need to scale up to meet demand.
We believe in enabling our engineers to do their best work for our customers by giving them extremely high levels of ownership and autonomy. You will own and deliver projects from start to finish, work directly with customers to solve their hardest scaling problems, and have significant influence over our technical roadmap.
The base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $320,000 USD per year, which is location independent in accordance with our remote-first policy. A large portion of the compensation will be in the form of equity via ISO options. We offer early exercise and a 10 year post-termination exercise window.
You are an engineer with a passion for solving hard technical problems that generate real value for customers. You’re motivated by high ownership and are comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment.
You have experience and comfort with distributed systems and high-scale systems or the ability and desire to build this experience quickly. This experience can take different forms.
Some useful, but not necessary, experience:
Our goal with the interview process is to balance speed with giving both parties opportunities to assess whether there is a strong mutual fit. We will ask you questions, but we want you to ask us questions! Our technical interviews focus on how you design systems because we believe this is the best way for us to see how you work and for you to see how we collaborate. We don’t ask you to write code to solve technical brainteasers that don’t appear in your day to day job.
We have limited inbound applications to one application per candidate. You will be auto-rejected if you apply to multiple roles. Please only apply to the position you are most qualified for.

ngrok is an all-in-one cloud networking platform that secures, transforms, and routes traffic to services running anywhere. Instead of cobbling together nginx, NLBs, VPNs, model routers, and oodles of other tools, developers solve every networking problem with one gateway. Doesn’t matter if they’re sharing localhost or running AI workloads in production.
We're trusted by more than 9 million developers at companies like GitHub, Okta, HashiCorp, and Twilio. What started as a way to put your local app on a public URL has grown into a universal gateway for API delivery, AI inference, device fleets, and site-to-site connectivity. It’s the same ngrok that millions of developers have loved and leaned on every day for years, now with the power to run production traffic at scale.
A few things you should know:
Still reading? Good. There's more below worth your time.
This role will lead either our Gateway or Agent team, depending on your experience and interests.
Both teams sit on the critical path of every ngrok connection and are central to our reliability, performance, and customer trust.
Lead a team that ships and learns quickly
You’ll manage and coach a team of 5–7 engineers. The goal isn’t just shipping—it’s building a team that can consistently make good decisions, move fast, and improve over time.
Treat management like a systems problem (with humans in the loop)
You’ll design how your team works: planning, execution, retros, feedback loops, and decision-making. You’ll tune the system, not just react to it.
Stay close enough to the code to matter
You won’t be coding every day, but you’ll get into the details when needed—reviewing designs, debugging tricky issues, and helping the team make better technical tradeoffs.
Drive product and technical direction together
This isn’t “just execution.” You’ll help shape what the team builds—balancing product work, technical investments, and experiments that actually teach you something.
Build a team people want to be on
You’ll coach junior and senior engineers, create psychological safety, and raise the bar on both performance and collaboration.
Connect the team to the bigger picture
You’ll make sure your team understands how their work ties to ngrok’s product, customers, and business. Context isn’t optional here. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and functional orgs to shape and meaningfully impact company culture and roadmap.
Bonus points if you’ve:
ngrok runs entirely on AWS. Engineers develop by using remote development tools and/or ssh to connect to remote EC2 environments that run a full Kubernetes cluster of the ngrok stack, closely mirroring production. The codebase is primarily Go and TypeScript. We use Postgres for persistence, Kafka for streaming, Protobuf for service boundaries, and Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Buildkite to operate and ship reliably. React is used for user interfaces, and GitHub supports our development workflows and remembers everything.
This is a remote position for candidates outside of the Bay Area and a hybrid role for candidates within commuting distance to San Francisco. Our Bay Area employees commute to the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
All candidates must be US-based, and legally authorized to work in the United States.
At this time, ngrok is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent, ongoing basis without the need for current or future sponsorship.
Engineering Manager: $225,000 – $275,000
Job level and actual compensation will be evaluated based on factors including, but not limited to, qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), internal equity with other team members, market data, and specific work location. We provide an attractive mix of salary and equity.

We value clean, simple architectures, test-first development, and continuous delivery. AI-assisted development with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini and Codex is embedded in our everyday workflow, and we’re excited about what agentic engineering unlocks for both development velocity and software quality.
What You’ll Do
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of software engineering with a history of owning and operating the systems you build. You’re deeply proficient in at least two of Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js, with solid React/TypeScript skills on the frontend. Continuous delivery, test-driven development, agile and shift-left are things you genuinely practice – not just checkboxes on a process document.
You’re comfortable building and operating scalable, distributed, high performant systems and navigating multi-tenant, compliant environments. You’re already using AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini, Codex, or similar) and you’re curious about pushing those workflows further.
You’re a strong communicator who enjoys working directly with product owners, proposing architectures, building consensus across teams, and then making it happen. You’re energized by learning new domains and collaborating with people who care about their craft.
