Summary:

The Cloud team at Lucid is currently seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineering role. In this position, the individual will be responsible for providing
reliability to the cloud infrastructure that enabled Lucid Motors' cloud-based services and internal systems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Reliability Engineering to cloud services deployed and managed in the region of KSA.
• Continuous delivery (CI/CD) using ArgoCD, Jenkins, Maven, and Docker.
• Architect cloud systems in highly available design, ensuring Disaster Recovery (DR) measures are in place.
• Containerization and deployment of microservices and data pipeline on Kubernetes using Helm installation.
• Advocate for a DevOps culture of automation and engineering best practices to enable development teams.
• Auto-scale and monitoring performance for Kubernetes and running applications using Prometheus and Grafana or similar tools.
• Performing SRE activities such as availability and reliability monitoring and reports.
• Deploy, configure and maintain tools such as Kafka, Spark, Trino, Airflow, MQTT, and Microservices.
• Setting up infrastructure as a service using Terraform.
• Work and deploy using the codebase repositories in GitLab, along with participation in the peer review activities.
• Support No-SQL databases such as Elastic Search, Mongo, Cassandra, and other open sources services.
• Setup and monitor various applications and services. Continuously enhance the alerts and automate the recovery process.
• Articipate in the on-call rotation to keep up the service SLA per the business needs.
• Work with Product Owners, engineering managers, and other team members in Agile Scrum and Kanban mode.
• Take appropriate actions by doing impact analysis during the incidents.

Requirements and Skills:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
• Can speak English fluently to communicate with teams across geographical regions.
• +6 years of experience in SRE or DevOps Engineering.
• +5 years of experience deploying and maintaining systems on Oracle cloud (OCI), and Amazon web services (AWS).
• +3 years of experience in Terraform.
• +3 years of experience in Kubernetes.
• +3 years of experience with tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc. to build automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Professional experience in Programing or scripting languages using Python, Go, Bash/Shell, or others.
• Experience in administrative operations knowledge in RDBMS (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL), and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB).
• Moderate experience in distributed computing for running data systems using Spark, Hive, Zookeeper, and Kafka.
• Moderate experience in debugging tools and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks at the infrastructure or at the application tier.
• Good to have experience with Config Management using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or others.

Responsibilities - Deployment

• Work with our co-location partners to design appropriate cage, rack and server layouts and to ensure the ongoing provision of space, power and cooling in support of existing and forecasted solutions.
• Work with the engineering/architecture teams to design solutions so as to maximize performance, efficiency and operability of hosted solutions.
• Lead and/or participate in the provisioning and deployment of server, network and other hosting-related equipment, including hands-on build and configuration as/when required
• Participate in the deployment of new applications and/or changes, ensuring that all service components are documented and monitored and integrated into the company’s operational processes.
• Perform hardware qualification testing on new hardware platforms and certify them for production deployments.
• Work with stakeholders across the solutions lifecycle to ensure that pre-operational sign-offs are obtained, so as to ensure that solutions can be operated in a way that meets or exceeds performance targets e.g. security, availability and response times.
• Assist with the troubleshooting of integration issues.
• Consulting with technical stakeholders (including customers) on the delivery of hosted solutions.

Responsibilities – Operations

• Hands-on administration and maintenance of hosted solutions and related infrastructure (firewalls, switches, servers, storage, etc.) including pro-active identification and fixing of potential incidents, backup management, etc.
• Participate in the definition, documentation, operation and continuous improvement of operational processes e.g. ITIL-based processes such as incident, change, problem and configuration management, and the smooth integration of these with wider company processes and systems.
• Define, implement, monitor and report on metrics that are required for the delivery of highly-available hosted services, as well as to meet the needs of the wider organization e.g. management, engineering, customer services and our customers.
• Provide technical support for all areas of hosted services, including participation on a 24x7 on-call rota; ensure the timely resolution of incidents and/or problems affecting hosted solutions and deploy approved changes and/or updates as required.
• Further enhance the automation of hosting-related processes e.g. deployment of changes, deployment of new services, inventory management, security scanning, service level reporting, etc.

Experience & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with server hosting (e.g. data center) infrastructure and (ideally) management with Cisco UCS blades
• Hands-on storage/SAN deployment and (ideally) management experience with EMC Unity, Data Domain, Avamar. Dell D?
• Hands-on Cisco and F5 networking deployment and management experience with Cisco Nexus 7000/9000, ASA Firewalls, F5 LTM and DNS load balancers, route domains and contexts. Active Directory/Windows – More Linux > Windows
• Hands-on VMware deployment and management experience with VMware 6.x/7.x 8
• Hands-on Linux deployment and management experience with RHEL 7.x
• Hands-on Windows domain and AD management experience
