Job Summary of the Sales Representative
The Sales Representative will work with the Area Managers to achieve sales revenue targets and grow market share for a specified territory by promoting, selling and servicing Axogen’s portfolio of nerve repair products. The Sales Rep will also practice good, ethical territory management in terms of organization, planning administration and expense planning and control. They need to increase sales and revenue by aggressively targeting and developing existing as well as new accounts. The Sales Rep will also train appropriate medical staff on Axogen products and procedures as well as meet expectations as defined by the Sales Management Team.
Job Requirements of the Sales Representative
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ years sales experience; medical device experience preferred
- Computer literacy; good written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to travel as necessary
- Must reside in the territory
Job Responsibilities of the Sales Representative
The specific duties of the Sales Representative include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain accurate account and territory records
- Effectively manage time to ensure maximum coverage of targeted accounts within territory in order to achieve optimum level of exposure and results
- Develop and act on plans which identify growth opportunities within current and competitive customer accounts
- Manage field inventory to optimally balance availability of product with inventory costs
- Control and manage expenses in the most cost effective manner for the company
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external key decision makers, customers and their staff, administrative staff, etc.
- Plan, implement and deliver effective sales/product presentations to customers, defining objectives and measuring success
- Probe to understand and confirm customers’ needs, handle objections and gain commitment
- Proactively develop knowledge, skills and abilities in all relevant areas i.e. clinical, technical, product and sales skills
- Participate in product and skill development programs and activities such as classroom education, role playing, on-th-job training, and other relevant activities that assist in the development of the team and yourself

Here are some things you’ll do on the job:
- Lead & Coach: Provide high-impact 1:1 coaching to a group of SDRs focused on driving pipeline generation in new verticals. Guide them through LinkedIn, email, and cold call strategies that drive high quality meetings for our AE teams.
- Pipeline Management: Oversee pipeline health and lead distribution across the team to ensure consistent, qualified opportunity generation.
- Messaging Ownership: Help build and refine outbound messaging that resonates with our ICP.
- Conversion Optimization: Identify patterns in high-performing outreach and scale winning tactics to drive better conversion rates across the team.

You Should have:
- 2–3+ years of experience in a Sales Development role within a B2B SaaS environment, with at least 18+ months in a leadership role managing teams of 7+ sales reps – you’re comfortable with a high velocity sales motion and managing all aspects of several SDRs at once.
- Proven track record of coaching SDRs 1:1 and leading training across cold calls, email, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Experience managing a large pipeline across multiple reps, able to analyze metrics, prioritize high-value opportunities, and course-correct quickly.
- Deep understanding of outbound sales strategies and how to drive consistent conversion from prospecting to qualified opportunity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, can articulate value propositions and give actionable feedback to SDRs.
- A motivating presence: you uplift those around you, create accountability, and lead by example.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where experimentation and adaptability are key.
- Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Salesloft, Apollo, Gong, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator plus awareness of new tools/ integrations/ AI use cases to improve SDR efficiency.
- Having a curious mindset and the ability to quickly ramp up on a new vertical is essential.

Job Summary
The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will provide technical, hands-on expertise to support all business opportunities for Phoenix Contact products and applications directly associated with the automation, control and networking portfolio used within the industrial automation and electronics industry. The Field Application Engineer will collaborate with regional sales managers, strategic account managers, sales engineers, account development specialists, channel, and field application engineering teams, to utilize a consultative approach with all customers to support their individual needs and expand market penetration. This role plays a pivotal part in the development and expansion of all accounts, through automation, control and networking sales growth and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Increase annual sales revenue across all products directly associated with the automation, control, and networking portfolio at customer accounts. These products include but are not limited to ethernet products (wired or wireless), safety, controllers, IO, HMIs, IPCs and engineered solutions.
- Work in coordination with local Phoenix Contact sales team utilizing joint sales activities, trainings, and mutual action plans to advance the sales of above-mentioned products.
- Act as the local technical representative for the above-mentioned products and support the sales team in power-related technical matters.
- Act as the regional marketing specialist developing sales tools, collateral and driving campaigns.
- Serve as the “voice of the customer” providing insight for expansion of product lines or new focus industries.
- Drive value-added applications and engineered solutions.
- Meet/exceed territory sales quotas as established by the RSM and/or Vice President - Field Sales.
- Be proficient in BASE selling skills and implement to build strong customer relationships.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and other stakeholders to facilitate new business and sustain growth.
- Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate client information. Fully utilize the CRM as a communication, reporting, measurement, and tracking tool to enhance productivity.
- Effectively communicate with the entire Phoenix Contact team, both verbally and written.
- Be proficient in and drive the use of all sales tools provided to support local markets.
- Active involvement in industry-related associations.
- Proactively utilize all resources and sales tools to maximize productivity, responsiveness, and customer delight.
- Continue personal development through an effective skill-building program as determined by the RSM, Director of Sales, and/or the Harrisburg Training Department.
- Demonstrate technical competence on all products/solutions within area of focus.
- Provide reports to RSM as required.
- Deliver presentations and hands-on demonstrations of Phoenix Contact automation, control and networking products, applications, and technology for the purpose of product sales.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge on all Phoenix Contact automation, control, and networking products/solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Four-year college degree. Technical discipline preferred and/or equivalent industry experience.
- 3 years minimum sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products.
- Ability to work independently from home office and communicate effectively with colleagues with limited supervision.
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to travel via airplane.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel via automobile for up to six hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to travel overnight 40%+ or as dictated by assigned territory.
- Comply with company dress code guidelines.
- Punctuality is required.
- Regular and on-time attendance.
