Qualifications

Job Summary

The Mechatronics Technician II contributes to production performance and training, in addition to equipment management and implementation. Working with engineering and quality, supports the production team in achieving established targets and assures customer satisfaction. The Mechatronics Technician II will modify, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, and mechanical components, equipment, and systems to ensure proper functioning. 

This is a 2nd shift position; 3pm - 11:30pm M-F. 

Responsibilities

• Supports technical production performance, training, and resources.

Key Responsibilities

Job Summary
The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will provide technical, hands-on expertise to support all business opportunities for Phoenix Contact products and applications directly associated with the protection, conversion, distribution, and monitoring of power circuits used within the industrial automation and electronics industry.  The Field Application Engineer will collaborate with regional sales managers, strategic account managers, sales engineers, account development specialists, channel, and field application engineering teams, to utilize a consultative approach with all customers to support their individual needs and expand market penetration. Responsibilities

The Associate Product Support Specialists (APSS) provide level 1 technical support to Phoenix Contact customers, sales personnel and channel partners. The Associate Product Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical advice and troubleshooting assistance for all Phoenix Contact products and related systems. The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will provide technical, hands-on expertise to support all business opportunities for Phoenix Contact products and applications directly associated with the automation, control and networking portfolio used within the industrial automation and electronics industry. Qualifications

• Four-year degree in technical discipline preferred and/or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years minimum sales experience in the electronics or industrial automation & controls marketplace.

• Exhibits high-level interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Successful history in achieving strategic and sales targets.

Essential Job Functions

Base salary: $112,000 - $152,000. Compensation information is made available in good faith. Phoenix Contact USA reserves the right to adjust ranges based on candidate’s experience, location and internal & external equity.  Additional compensation includes bonus plan and auto allowance. 

Job Summary

The Building Automation Engineer will be a self-motivated individual capable of managing our building automation architecture.  As part of our facility infrastructure team this individual will expand and enhance our system and technology for the US facility operations. This position will be responsible for designing, installing, troubleshooting and repairing devices, fixtures, and panels related to the BAS control equipment.  This individual will collaborate with other facilities employees, engineers, and contractors to provide efficient and cost-effective facilities.

 Responsibilities 

• Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS) including HVAC, lighting, and access control for optimal performance.
• Program and configure control sequences to improve energy efficiency and operational reliability.
• Respond to system alarms and troubleshoot issues remotely or on-site to minimize downtime.
  • Including some off hours
• Optimize climate control and setback schedules to reduce utility costs and support sustainability goals.
• Track and analyze energy consumption and self-generation data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
• Prepare and submit accurate energy usage reports to headquarters for compliance and corporate sustainability goals.
• Develop and implement energy optimization strategies to reduce utility costs and improve efficiency across facilities.
• Monitor performance of energy systems
• Manage remote facility control for emergency response and operational continuity.
• Document system changes, maintenance activities, and configurations for compliance and reporting.
• Coordinate with facilities, operations, and vendors for repairs, upgrades, and integration projects.
• Ensure OT cybersecurity measures are in place for BAS and related systems to protect critical infrastructure.
• Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code & NFPA 70E

Qualifications 

• B.S Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other technical degree
• 3-5 years minimum work experience with Building Automation Systems
• 2-4 years working in Facilities Management environment
• Experience w/ Siemen’s Desigo and/or Niagara AX systems preferred
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, electrical and electronic engineering as it applies to HVAC controls & Building Automation Systems
• Strong knowledge of network types and protocols
• Ability to perform basic BAS programming: function libraries, Java, and IEC61131 preferred
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge with HVAC and electrical systems
• Ability to read electrical one line drawings / schematics and mechanical drawings/specs
• Good decision making and project management skills.
• Proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
• Able to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
• Develops team members through mentoring and coaching in complex subjects.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong self-motivator
