About the Role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst with deep experience in payments, particularly in credit card products and processing. This role will support the development and enhancement of innovative payment solutions, working closely with product managers, technology teams, and external partners to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers to define and refine product requirements for credit card and payment solutions.
- Analyze business processes, customer journeys, and transaction data to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support the end-to-end lifecycle of credit card products, including onboarding, authorization, clearing, settlement, and dispute management.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform product strategy and positioning.
- Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, compliance, operations, finance) to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
- Assist in UAT planning and execution, ensuring solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics post-launch to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the payments industry, with a strong focus on credit card products.
- Solid understanding of card scheme operations (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), issuer/acquirer models, and payment processing flows.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, or BI platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in the payments space (e.g., PSD2, PCI DSS).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with digital wallets, tokenization, or embedded finance.
- Knowledge of APIs and integration with third-party payment providers.
- Background in launching or supporting innovative card-based products or loyalty programs.

POL base pay range per year: 205,000 zł - 285,000 zł

The Bankruptcies & Hardships team (B&H) is a newly formed engineering group responsible for building Affirm’s core servicing platforms that support customers during critical financial moments. The team owns backend services and pipelines that orchestrate bankruptcy workflows and power compliant, reliable hardship support at scale.
Engineers on this team work on distributed systems, event-driven pipelines, and high-availability services with a strong emphasis on correctness, auditability, and operational excellence. You’ll collaborate closely with product, compliance, and other platform teams while helping shape foundational systems in a greenfield environment. This is a high-impact opportunity to apply deep backend expertise in Python and Kotlin to systems that matter to both customers and the business.

What We Look For
- You have previous work or internship experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale and are experienced using one of Python or Kotlin.
- You are familiar with the building blocks of distributed systems, and the technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
- You have mastered taking a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, and executing on it by writing clear, easily understood,
well tested and extensible code.
- You are comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback to other engineers through code reviews.
- Your experience demonstrates that you take ownership of your growth, proactively seeking feedback from your team, your manager, and your stakeholders.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills that support effective collaboration with our global engineering team.
Compensation and Benefits
Base Pay Grade - J
Equity Grade - Poland 2
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).
POL base pay range per year: 205,000 zł - 285,000 zł

We are seeking a motivated Senior IP Tech & Product Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance and support to Precisely’s dynamic, innovation-driven, global organization on a variety of intellectual property, technology product development, and product licensing issues, with a particular focus in data products and data licensing. This role partners closely with our supplier, product (engineering, product management, and data product), marketing, commercial, compliance, privacy, legal and security teams to ensure that our products, services and platforms are designed, deployed, contracted and marketed in compliance with IP, data, and regulatory requirements as well as business needs. The ideal candidate will appropriately balance risk while optimizing business growth in providing legal guidance to our global commercial teams and through analysis and negotiation of technology and data licensing related agreements. Additionally, this exciting role includes collaborating with internal business partners, and advising on existing and new product, feature and data development, from conception to pilot to launch, requiring a global mindset and in-depth knowledge of IP law, data licensing, AI/ML issues, open-source, open data, software and digital technology issues. What you will do:
As Senior IP Tech & Product Counsel with Precisely, you will play a key role in closing deals with our Supplier, Partner and client-facing teams as well as working with our Legal counterparts, Products, Marketing, and other departments for product counseling, data, and Intellectual Property matters, key responsibilities including:
Intellectual Property & Data Counseling
- Draft, negotiate, and advise the business on a variety of agreements and IP and technology clauses and legal issues in supplier, partner, and customer technology and data related agreements, including various supplier/partner terms (reseller, comarketing, co-selling, OEM, and more), data use, data licensing, AI/ML, software on-prem and SaaS platforms, IP development, IP ownership/licensing, and other commercialization of IP and license grants, based on an understanding of the products, data, business and customer objectives, required flow down obligations, and legal positions.
- Draft, negotiate and advise on various technology-related agreements from open source software licenses, open data licenses, EULAs, online terms (click-throughs, shrink-wraps, and other no-touch terms), SaaS and other cloud-based terms, AI/ML Addendums, EU Data terms, evaluation and beta trials, and other technology-regulation related terms.
- Assist in drafting, maintaining, and training others in technology and data specific contract templates, fall back language, and legal positions, including provisions covering data licensing, data use, AI/ML, SaaS, IP ownership/licensing, assignment issues, SLAs, and risk provisions related to the same (warranties, indemnities, limitations on liability, insurance, remedies, wind-down and termination) across software, SaaS, support/service and data-driven products.
- Assist on a variety of intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, trade-secrets, and copyright issues, including prosecution work with external and regional counsel, IP claims, licensing issues, as well as IP portfolio management and other IP work including assisting in developing and implementing IP strategies for proprietary technologies, algorithms, and data models.
- Oversee open-source software (OSS) and open-data (OD) compliance, including license reviews, risk assessments, and developer guidance and training.
- Advise on data acquisition, usage rights, data sharing agreements, and other data transfer mechanisms and licensing for structured and unstructured datasets.
- Advise on and ensure compliance with data regulations (EU Data Act, EU AI Act) and cross-border data transfer requirements as well as provide guidance on AI/ML data training, model ownership, and output rights.
- Assist with IP diligence in M&A, investments, and vendor selection; advise on IP assignments and transition services.
Product Counseling & Emerging Technology
- Serve as a primary legal advisor for product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch.
- Conduct risk assessments and regulatory compliance for new products, features, APIs, and integrations involving IP and data.
- Support data monetization initiatives, including structuring agreements for data products and data-as-a-service (DaaS) offerings.
- Assist with guidance on AI use, integration, and governance, including bias mitigation, transparency, and compliance with emerging AI regulations, with support from AI related counsel and manager.
- Review product terms of service, EULAs, and developer agreements for IP and data issues, updates and compliance.
- Partner with Privacy Counsel and Security teams to align product design with privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles.

Governance, Policy & Enablement
- Assist with Development and maintenance of IP, data, OSS/OD, marketing, patents, and trade-secret policies and guidelines, and related playbooks, questionnaires and templates.
- Assist with training Product, Engineering, and Data teams on topics such as IP, data licensing, and open-source compliance.
- Monitor regulatory developments in IP, data, and AI law; update stakeholders on emerging risks and opportunities.
- Support internal/external audits, due diligence, compliance certifications, insurance inquiries, IP complaints and disputes, coordinate litigation strategy as needed, and other reviews related to IP and data governance.
What we are looking for:
- Law Degree from an accredited institution (or relevant local equivalent); and qualified and admitted to practice law in local jurisdiction.
- 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in IP and technology law, with significant exposure to data licensing and product counseling (at least 4 years in-house experience preferred; top law firm experience a plus).

What you’ll be doing

The total target compensation (On-Target Earnings) for this role is 11 791 PLN – 16 845 PLN gross per month.
