Department Description
Service Operations is a core function within Palmetto’s Service and Asset Management organization, responsible for post-PTO service and maintenance across the residential solar asset lifecycle. The team ensures system performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction by managing service requests from intake through resolution. This includes remote troubleshooting, site visit coordination, and field execution through both in-house technicians and a national network of service partners.
Service Operations plays a critical role in protecting asset performance and optimizing the cost of service at scale. Our focus is to resolve issues quickly, efficiently, and with high quality—balancing speed, cost, and customer satisfaction while supporting the long-term performance of the assets we manage.

This position will be based remotely in the Philippines.
Reporting
This position will report to the Service Operations Team Lead.
Summary of Role
The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for monitoring system performance and resolving service issues through remote troubleshooting across Palmetto’s residential solar portfolio.
This role is the first line of defense in identifying and addressing system underperformance, using monitoring tools, diagnostics, and customer interaction to resolve issues without requiring a site visit whenever possible.
Technical Support Specialists are accountable for quickly identifying root causes, executing effective troubleshooting steps, and determining when escalation to a site visit is necessary. They play a critical role in optimizing service timelines, reducing cost of service, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

The Service Operations Scheduler plays a central role in ensuring that customers receive timely, high-quality service for their solar systems by coordinating and scheduling Field Service Technician (FST) site visits. This role manages all logistics related to appointment setting, customer communication, and alignment of technician capacity with demand.
Schedulers act as the primary point of contact for customers during the site-visit coordination process—confirming availability, explaining next steps, and ensuring customers feel supported and informed. They work closely with FSTs, Service Project Coordinators, and regional leadership to optimize routing, maximize technician efficiency, and minimize scheduling delays.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and excels at managing communication across multiple channels. They are capable of balancing customer expectations with operational realities and proactively identifying scheduling risks before they impact the customer experience.

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is responsible for NiCE CXone’s observability tools. This position collaborates with different teams within the company to create and support observability solutions using open-source and enterprise monitoring tools. SREs will work with various monitoring tools located in NiCE CXone’s private cloud environments, AWS and other cloud providers. SREs also provide education to other teams on use of different monitoring tools. They may help define best practices and procedures for using observability tools and ensure that other engineers follow these standards. This position may develop detailed implementation/project plans for deployment of observability solutions. The SRE team leverages automation tools to deploy and manage observability tools. The SRE team actively seeks to learn and evaluate emerging technologies, collaborating with other business units within the company to implement changes that will improve our monitoring and alerting capabilities. This position requires a lot of curiosity, a proven ability to learn quickly and an aptitude for tackling unique problems that need creative solutions.
A good candidate could have a few different combinations of technical experience; we have seen people succeed in this role with NOC, technical support, software development or system administration experience. We are seeking an experienced Cisco UC Voice Engineer to support critical upgrades and modernization initiatives across our enterprise communication platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering seamless upgrades to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX), and Unity Connection (CUC), along with associated VMware ESXi infrastructure.
This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact upgrade projects in a global environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure stability, security, and minimal service disruption.
Perform upgrades of CUCM, UCCX, and CUC from version 12.5 to 15.4
Execute VMware ESXi upgrades from versions 6.5 and 7.0 to 8.0
Complete all pre-upgrade activities, including:
Change submissions and approvals
Detailed implementation and rollback plans
Technical documentation and validation checklists
Coordinate with global teams to plan and execute upgrade windows with minimal business impact
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after upgrade activities
Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and best practices
Provide post-upgrade stabilization and hypercare support, including system optimization
Proven, hands-on experience upgrading CUCM, UCCX, and CUC environments
Demonstrated experience upgrading VMware ESXi from 6.5/7.0 to 8.0
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
CCNA certification
Experience supporting global or enterprise-scale environments, including rotating or after-hours coverage
Comfortable working in remote and distributed team environments
CCNP Collaboration (or equivalent hands-on experience) with Cisco UC technologies
Familiarity with ITIL or structured change management practices
Experience with large enterprise UC deployments, including multi-cluster and multi-site architectures
Work on high-visibility Cisco UC upgrade initiatives
