We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our AI Enablement team, focused on rapidly increasing internal employee productivity and operational efficiency across the company by scaling robust AI integrations and agentic workflows. This role will be central to designing and deploying agents to handle complex, end-to-end tasks, driving measurable improvements in how our core teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success) work. This strategic and execution-focused role will lead our internal AI Enablement roadmap, initially focusing deeply on improving core departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success) through agentic automation.
You'll leverage best-in-class AI tools and AI agents (e.g. Gemini and other LLMs) to dramatically increase employee productivity, drive down operational costs, and enable our teams to deliver faster, better outcomes at scale. Your goal is to build our foundation for an AI-enabled future, implementing AI-driven workflows and agents throughout the organization, starting with internal operations and coupling workflows across key functions like GTM.To do this job well, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate project(s) built on LLMs that showcases your skill at reliably automating complex tasks.

With views along the Monongahela river, the Pittsburgh office is in the heart of this new state of the art development.
Mission Summary:
The SQE position is based at the Pittsburgh Technical Center, Pittsburgh PA, and reports to the Supplier Quality Manager based at the Las Vegas, Nevada Technical Center. Quarterly travel to Supplier manufacturing sites is anticipated (at a minimum).
The SQE will be responsible for executing the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process with Suppliers selected for potential Generation 3 activities, in addition to pursuing continuous improvement and warranty reduction for the current Generation 2 build. The role involves conducting Program Reviews against established program milestones and escalating issues as necessary. The individual must ensure the supply base adheres to Motional standards, that quality and manufacturing processes are enabled, and that non-conformances are identified and prevented from proceeding to subsequent manufacturing sites. Prompt reaction to and cross-functional resolution of known non-conformances is required.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure supplier adherence to APQP processes, including product Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submission and approval requirements.
- Review and approve supplier quality plans (Control Plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis [PFMEA]) for new components and assemblies essential for vehicle launch.
- Conduct reviews of supplier manufacturing processes and quality management systems.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions for supplier quality issues.
- Execute on-site supplier visits to conduct root cause analysis and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions related to supplier quality issues.
- Implement and monitor supplier part qualification and certification processes (PPAP, Run at Rate).
- Enhance the quality performance of suppliers through on-site workshops, providing technical assistance in developing robust quality systems, or offering other necessary technical support.
- Provide technical assistance during supplier launch, change-over, and ongoing production activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree is mandatory. A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, Welding, Plastics, Materials, Chemical preferred) or an equivalent Technical Degree such as Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, or Physics is acceptable.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in quality, engineering, and/or manufacturing is required.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, performing part measurements, and understanding gage design and function.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proven knowledge of manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, tooling, equipment, and facilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of probability, statistical quality control, and design of experiments.
- Proven ability to investigate complex quality problems and apply sound technical judgment to develop effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and lead diverse cross-functional teams.

The Director, Software Engineering is responsible for the delivery of Enterprise SaaS products supporting the Clinical Trial industry, overseeing multiple on-shore and off-shore development teams and the delivery of multiple products and initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively research, prototype, and introduce new technologies or architectural approaches that improve team or org-wide capabilities.
- Own the reliability, observability, and operational excellence of key systems—ensuring they meet or exceed defined SLAs.
- Actively mentor and sponsor engineers across levels, fostering career growth and encouraging broader technical participation.
- Continuously evolve team processes, driving scalable improvements in delivery, quality, and collaboration.
- Drive impact at the team and cross-team level.
- Provide strong technical leadership across one or more scrum teams, aligning execution with architectural vision and business goals.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 6-8 years of experience of software development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
- Extensive experience with React and JavaScript web development frameworks (Next.js preferred)
- Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, and other authentication/authorization frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment platforms (Vercel, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with ORM frameworks and relational databases (Prisma, Drizzle, PostgreSQL)
- Strong understanding of integration patterns (pub/sub, webhook, ETL, etc.).
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and AI application development
- Experience building AI automation workflows with n8n or similar platforms (Make, Zapier, Temporal)
- Experience with embeddings, prompt engineering, and semantic search
- Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and agent-based systems
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

The national estimate for the current base range for the position of Senior Full Stack Engineer is: $140,400 - $175,500.
This position may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program or commission plan, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
