As a Senior Engineer, Field Process, you will help expand ASM’s advanced film technologies at our customer’s Oregon site by developing, optimizing, and transferring innovative ALD, PEALD, PECVD, Epitaxy, and LPCVD processes. You will serve as the technical link between customer engineering teams and ASM’s global Business Unit, ensuring new products and processes are introduced smoothly and successfully. Your work directly supports ASM’s mission to accelerate next‑generation semiconductor manufacturing through collaboration, technical excellence, and customer partnership.

This role operates with high autonomy, leading complex new product introductions (NPI) and on‑site process development, while acting as the primary technical interface between ASM Business Units and customer process teams.

As a Field Service Engineer – Early Career, you’ll take on a hands-on role supporting ASM’s advanced semiconductor equipment and helping our customers keep their fabs running at peak performance. You’ll build real-world expertise through structured training, mentorship, and on-the-job learning while working directly with technologies that power AI, 5G, cloud computing, and next‑generation devices. In this role, based in Hillsboro, OR at our customer site, you’ll launch your engineering career at the center of cutting‑edge semiconductor manufacturing. It’s an ideal opportunity for early‑career engineers who want to put their education into practice in a high‑tech environment where every day brings something new to learn.
From your first day, you’ll receive training through hands‑on guidance from seasoned engineers onsite. You’ll work with vacuum systems, plasma, chemical delivery, robotics, sensors, advanced metrology, and complex hardware‑software interactions. Your contributions will have a direct impact on tool performance, system uptime, and customer success—playing a meaningful role in enabling leading‑edge logic technology nodes. This experience lays a strong foundation for rapid growth, technical mastery, and a variety of long‑term career paths within ASM.
Shifts available:
Shift 4 (7pm-8am)- Sun-Tu and every other Saturday
Shift 6 (7pm-8am)- Wed- Fri and every other Saturday
