OVERVIEW

The Operations Associate is critical in the store team and is responsible for driving profitability and efficiency. The Operations Associate will work closely with the Operations & Visual Management team in initiating, completing work, and providing feedback to the team to achieve optimal results supporting total store operations.  

Key Job Responsibilities 

• Execute inventory management processes effectively with a focus on maximizing inventory accuracy and reducing shrink
• Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the General/Store Manager to escalate process or system gaps
• Support execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management
• Maintain and champion strong visual standards for the sales floor
• Work closely with reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities to ensure maintained and maximized
• Support a safe work environment and efficient operation through strong stockroom standards and processes
• Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests
• Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiates, in partnership with the Operations & Visual Management team.  
• Assists in processing shipment and ensuring product flow; including but not limited to visual merchandising placement and daily replenishment excellence
• Demonstrate strong business acumen by leveraging metrics to support business-driving strategies
• Resolve client needs quickly & effectively ensuring customer satisfaction
• Identify product concerns and communicate inventory needs to support the business goals

Operations Associate Qualifications 

• 1+ years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales & operational environment

 Operations Associate Schedule 

Part-Time non-exempt associates are expected to work up to 30 hours per week, based on the needs of the business, for a shift minimum of 4 hours. Full-Time non-exempt associates are expected to have open availability, 7 days a week, between 32 - 40 hours. All employees without exception are expected to be able to work during the company’s Blackout period, from the week of American Thanksgiving (including Black Friday and Thanksgiving weekend) through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January).

OVERVIEW

The Sales & Service Manager is a member of the store leadership team who deals with ALO’s business and guest experience strategy to life in store. This individual is passionate about business targets, sales, guest experience, and elevating talent to meet ALO’s guiding principles. This role’s north star is pointed at ensuring that guest experience in the store is exceptional. Duties require constant movement in and around the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not actively assisting guests, this position takes initiative to perform other tasks, as needed, to keep store clean, safe, inviting and operating efficiently. 

Sales & Service Leader 

• Investigate and root cause sales opportunities, partnering with the General Manager to escalate process or system gaps
• Oversee the Sales & Service team to execute an exceptional guest experience on the floor through assessing the level of guest connection and technical product education and supporting team members to address gaps through feedback and coaching
• Continue to build the client relationship daily with our customers
• Ensure effective sales floor coverage through the development of workforce solutions and leading selling initiatives throughout the store as needed
• Partner with the General Manager to build the Sales & Service strategy for the store and execute implementation with the Sales & Service team 

Business Leader  

• Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls, in partnership with General Manager
• Review, Monitor and partner with General Manager to manage the budget, reporting and other business data; including metrics (e.g. Expenses, Sell-Thru) and inform planning processes (e.g., quarterly business review and sales planning)
• Future planning workflow business needs to protect optimal performance 

People Leader 

• Ensure that the Sales, Service, and Community team exudes ALO's mission and guiding principles to effectively communicate to our guests who we are, what we do and why we do what we do
• Leads a team through accountability, continuous coaching on a regular basis, development of talent, and elevating effective communication throughout the Operations and Visual team
• Establish internal & external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategy
• Writes an effective schedule that prioritizes the best business strategy, in partnership with the General Manager/Store Manager 

Business Partner 

• Oversees the execution of certain deliverables on the ALO Sales and Service Model, protecting operational efficiency
• Collaborates and implement General/Store Manager’s vision and work cross-functionally with business partners, as directed, to support all-level organizational goals
• Demonstrate an ability to navigate the organization with a balance of business need and brand culture 

Sales & Service Leadership Qualifications 

• 3-5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience 
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)  
• Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment
• Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability

The Role 

Green Thumb is proudly on a mission to promote well-being through the power of cannabis. We are looking for an Assistant General Manager for our RISE Dispensary to support and manage a diverse team in driving results and delivering memorable, positive consumer experiences. You will assist the General Manager in leading and managing activities related to customer experience, inventory operations, and team member development. The Assistant General Manager role puts you on a fast-track to growth and is a developmental step to General Manager.

Responsibilities 

Operations 

• Manage and oversee the execution of all dispensary operations to ensure compliance with security, inventory, and local and state regulations.
• Motivate team members to execute programs, initiatives, and regionalized in-store promotions effectively.
• Oversee and manage quality product inventory, financial records, and Seed to Sale compliance.
• Maintain appropriate cash management, handling protocols and daily reconciliation.
• Manage effective order & expense management processes aligned with store budgets.

Experience 

• Coach and motivate Team Members to consistently deliver memorable, positive in-store customer experiences. 
• Lead by example and set the rhythm for effective “Leader on Duty” (LOD) shifts. Actively supervise team members, provide recognition, and redirect behaviors to fuel the customer journey. 
• Execute a seamless omni-channel customer experience and lead teams to deliver consistency across in-store, drive-thru, curbside & delivery. 
• Coach team members to deliver Loyalty goals, drive customer retention and repeat traffic. 
• Serve as a liaison to the local community and support community outreach events and initiatives. 

People 

• In partnership with the General Manager, build and retain a high-performing team through selecting the best talent and effective onboarding, training, and development. 
• Support a culture of engagement and performance through coaching, feedback, and recognition.  
• Motivate dispensary team to exceed revenue targets and key metrics, with an emphasis on team member behaviors, service techniques and product knowledge. 
• Execute hourly scheduling to align with business needs, hours targets, and team member availability. 
• Hold team members accountable for accurate timekeeping, schedule compliance, and reliability. 
• Develop Leaders and Team Member talent and effectively address performance issues on a timely basis.
• Perform other duties as needed. 

Qualifications

• At least three years of managing teams in a retail setting, specifically with POS business operations
• Cannabis experience preferred
• Inventory control experience preferred
• Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (i.e., ability to work a schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends) to meet business needs 
• Must have reliable, responsible and dependable attendance.  
• Must be 21 years or older. 
• Must pass any and all required background checks. 
• Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
