Ever imagined saying, “I helped launch the future of transportation”?
We’re rewriting the rules of urban mobility. At Vay, customers tap a button and a car arrives - with no one inside - powered by our world-first Remote Driving technology on real public streets.
We’re live in Las Vegas and scaling fast, powered by a strategic investment of up to $410 million from Grab. Our mission is simple: replace private car ownership with a faster, cleaner, door-to-door mobility model. If you want to build something real, visible, and genuinely transformative, you’ll feel right at home here.
Curious to experience Vay yourself? Use the code VAYCANDIDATE for $10 off your first trip in Las Vegas! Download the "Vay" app from the Apple or Google Play store & off you go!
As a Product Marketing Manager at Vay, you aren’t just launching a product; you are pioneering a fundamental shift in mobility through teledriving technology. You will operate at a high-velocity pace, translating complex remote-driving systems into a seamless consumer experience as the company scales its fleet across global markets.
This role offers a unique growth trajectory, placing you at the intersection of deep-tech innovation and urban infrastructure. You will be responsible for defining the go-to-market strategy for a service that is actively redefining vehicle ownership and on-demand transportation on a massive scale.
At Vay, the role of a Product Marketing Manager is about more than just managing a launch; it is about steering a fundamental shift in how the world moves. You will be at the helm of three critical pillars:
1. Architecting the Growth Engine - You are driving the entire lifecycle of the user journey, moving far beyond simple awareness to own the product funnel optimization. By diving deep into conversion data and user behavior, you will identify friction points in the "magic" moment—when a teledriven car arrives at a user's door—and engineer seamless onboarding experiences. Your goal is to turn initial curiosity into high-retention habits, ensuring that as the fleet scales across global markets, the unit economics and user growth scale right along with it.
2. Strategic Product Co-Creation - You serve as the vital bridge between the market's pulse and the product and engineering roadmap, moving past traditional marketing to collaboratively build the future of mobility. By translating complex technical breakthroughs into high-impact consumer features, you work hand-in-hand with Product teams to ensure the roadmap solves real-world urban pain points. You aren't just selling what has been built; you are an active architect of the product itself, ensuring every new iteration is grounded in user needs and massive market potential.
3. Category Education and Trust - Since teledriving is a brand-new frontier, you are driving the narrative of a new mobility category. This involves a sophisticated educational strategy that demystifies remote-driving technology and builds deep, unwavering consumer trust in the "human-in-the-loop" safety model. You will be responsible for educating both new and existing users on the full breadth of the Vay ecosystem—turning early adopters into lifelong advocates who understand not just how the technology works, but why it is the most efficient way to navigate a modern city.
Proven experience in Product Marketing within a scaling, high-complexity tech environment (mobility, marketplaces, or high-growth SaaS preferred).
Strategic GTM Lead with a track record of owning end-to-end product launches—from initial positioning and messaging to full-scale market adoption.
Analytical Rigor: You are obsessed with the funnel. You can dissect conversion data to identify friction points and implement optimization strategies that drive growth.
A "Voice of the User" Advocate: You have a deep-seated ability to translate messy customer signals and qualitative research into actionable product insights and compelling value propositions.
Cross-Functional Bridge: You speak the languages of Product, Design, and Engineering fluently, ensuring that user experience and business goals remain aligned during the development cycle.
Technical & Creative Fluency: You are comfortable diving into product analytics tools (like Amplitude or Mixpanel) but can also collaborate with designers to create high-impact visual storytelling.
Agile Mindset: You thrive in startup environments where you must balance "big picture" strategy with the hands-on execution required to hit aggressive KPIs.
Exceptional Communicator: You can take a complex technical feature and turn it into a simple, "must-have" benefit for the end user.
💪A global team of smart, motivated people from 30+ countries who love tackling hard problems and turning bold ideas into reality.
🌍 Huge scope for impact in a fast paced environment
💰 ESOP stock options: A stake in Vay’s future - not just a salary.
🌴 Unlimited Paid Vacation Days

Company Overview
Amperesand is reinventing how the world powers its most critical systems.
We are facing a once-in-a-generation opportunity for infrastructure disruption. Electricity demand is skyrocketing, driven by AI factories, electric vehicles, and modern industrial growth. Energy supply is shifting to incorporate a more diverse mix of resources – including solar, gas, and batteries – at a massive scale.
And yet the power infrastructure behind our latest mega-projects hasn’t meaningfully changed in nearly 100 years. Supply chains for today’s infrastructure equipment can’t match the pace and sophistication of critical energy projects. Amperesand is building hardware and software that rewrites this broken power infrastructure playbook to support a new era of energy abundance.
We’ve built a new class of intelligent, software-defined power infrastructure products leveraging a decade of advanced medium voltage Solid State Transformer research that’s now ready for commercial deployment.
Our products and solutions go far beyond the capabilities of traditional electrical equipment. We make power systems that are faster to deploy, dramatically smaller and more efficient, and capable of supporting modern, dynamic energy needs for tomorrow’s most demanding energy consumers.
Scalable in-house advanced manufacturing capability is our foundation for meeting timeline and quality expectation to serve infrastructure customers around the world.
Amperesand is led by breakthrough energy hardware development veterans and funded by top tier investors who share our vision of building a category-defining energy technology company.
With hubs in San Francisco, Reno, and Singapore, our global team is laser focused on building foundational technology to solve the most pressing problems in power infrastructure at scale.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of data science, mapping, and real-world mobility systems. You’ll work on the data and algorithms that define how Vay’s vehicles navigate cities safely and efficiently within our Operational Design Domain (ODD). Your work will directly unlock our ability to scale to new cities, improve routing performance, and solve complex real-world challenges in a rapidly evolving mobility environment.
In this role, you will play a critical part in advancing Vay’s mapping and routing capabilities using data science and machine learning approaches.
Develop automated approaches to map augmentation using video, connectivity, trip data, and open datasets such as OpenStreetMap.
Build data science solutions that accelerate map creation and updates for new cities where Vay launches.
Design and develop routing simulation tools to discover optimal strategies for improving ETA and ATA accuracy.
Lead and contribute to initiatives within the Operational Design Domain (ODD) data science pod.
Identify and automate inefficiencies in map generation workflows to enable faster and more frequent updates.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and product teams to implement and deploy production-grade solutions.
Help scale the impact of the data science team by driving key initiatives and reducing knowledge concentration on critical ODD topics.
We’re looking for a data scientist who enjoys solving complex real-world problems and turning experimental ideas into production systems that power next-generation mobility.
Strong experience applying data science or machine learning techniques to real-world problems.
Ability to write high-quality, production-grade code.
Experience building and deploying applied data science solutions across the full lifecycle—from concept to implementation and rollout.
Strong Python experience and familiarity with modern data science workflows (e.g., Jupyter, GitHub, cloud compute environments).
Experience working with geospatial data, routing systems, or map-based datasets is highly valuable.
Comfortable working cross-functionally and owning complex initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to have
Prior engineering experience or strong software engineering foundations.
Experience with technologies such as Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks.
