ROLE OVERVIEW

The Electrical Maintenance Planner supports mining operations by optimizing equipment reliability by planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety compliance, and managing parts inventory to minimize downtime. Working in alignment with OEM specifications, the role focuses on improving equipment availability, reducing unplanned downtime, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning & Scheduling

• Oversee electrical maintenance planning
• Identify potential work using an effective condition monitoring program and financial package-based work programs and provide guidance and support to the project teams
• Develop weekly agreed maintenance plans using equipment strategies to facilitate maximum production and minimize downtime and costs to meet plant availability and reliability targets  
• Align other maintenance activities such as defects and breakdown repairs with periodic maintenance and provide updates on a weekly basis 
• Develop a recommended and optimized bill of materials for the various standard jobs employed under the maintenance strategy 

Finance and Commercial

• Ensure that work planned is completed within the allowed budget and resources by cost effective use of resources to maintain and service infrastructure 
• Assist with the procurement and freight of parts and services and ensure full reliability of parts and equipment is retained while stored, only using approved suppliers and hire equipment 
• Maintain accurate and effective costing reporting as well as support documentation and ensure all completed work orders are closed out 
• Effectively use the company’s financial package to produce, review and maintain equipment lists and contracts and raise work orders for all maintenance activities 
•  Coordinate warranty claims and ensure warranty forms are lodged with OEMs for components and repairs using approved warranty processes and site documentation 
• Identify project-based opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs to increase effectiveness and efficiency by eliminating repetitive, costly or low-value work 

Maintenance & Reliability

• Utilize predictive maintenance processes to raise re-work requests and organize any additional maintenance requirements 
• Ensure all materials, parts, personnel, tools, permits and equipment is available for execution when required by the plan   
• Review and audit electrical repairs and services to ensure compliance with site maintenance schemes  
• Review and report on planning and scheduling, equipment reliability and maintenance department performance 

Health, Safety, Environment and Community

• Assist in the implementation and compliance of HSE plans to ensure safe and sustainable mobile plant and ancillary equipment 
• Provide expert advice in all incident investigations to ensure the root causes are identified and that all the required documentation is reported. If applicable, play an active role in implementing corrective actions in consultation with relevant parties 
• Constantly look to identify hazards and risks through regular inspections, audits, and behavioral observations as per HSE targets and take corrective actions where required 

Relationship Management

• Liaise with all internal stakeholders to enhance coordination between the maintenance department, mine leadership, and client groups and minimize interruptions to operations by maintaining strong working relationships with relevant personnel 
• Communicate detailed maintenance plans for scheduled maintenance to maintenance department, mine leadership, and client groups on a weekly basis 
• Coordinate with the offsite maintenance planners to ensure the best business outcomes are achieved 
• Promote prosperous healthy client relationships to network and identify new business opportunities 
• Performs other related duties as assigned 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Minimum of 3 years’ planning experience in electrical planning for mining maintenance activities to include power distribution, large industrial motors and associated control systems 
• Strong knowledge of fixed plant/mobile maintenance processing and associated maintenance processes in a surface mine operation 
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within fixed plant or mobile assets 
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fixed plant equipment maintenance – crushing, material handling, mill/processing- or mobile maintenance equipment (haul trucks, excavators, drillers, support equipment)  
• Surface mining experience 
• Expertise in predictive and preventative maintenance techniques 
• Experience with resource allocation and optimizing maintenance workforce efficiency

As the Senior Facilities Engineer, you will be the primary technical bridge
between our fusion demonstration system design team and the facility
infrastructure. This is a high-impact role responsible for the integration of
complex mechanical and electrical systems that power and support our fusion

Summary

QuEra Computing is seeking a Laser Systems Engineer to support the development and evaluation of laser subsystems used in neutral-atom quantum computing platforms. This role will serve as a key technical liaison for vendor collaboration and test and evaluation activities.

The engineer will work closely with QuEra’s Laser Systems and Quantum Systems teams to support subsystem testing, qualification, and scaling efforts. A core responsibility of this role is coordinating with vendors and partners to ensure that laser and photonic subsystems meet performance, reliability, and integration requirements as QuEra’s quantum computing systems scale.

This position will also serve as the on-site technical interface for test and evaluation activities associated with DARPA’s Quantum Benchmarking Initiative (QBI) and related programs. The role involves coordinating subsystem evaluation, test protocols, and milestone documentation.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience with advanced laser systems, strong experimental troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work effectively with external partners and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Laser System Scaling and Architecture Development

• Work closley with our Laser System team on supporting the development and scaling of QuEra’s laser infrastructure as quantum systems grow in size and complexity.
• Explore approaches for increasing optical power, stability, and scalability across multi-wavelength laser systems together with the laser system and quantum hardware team.

Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer with expertise in the development and implementation of chemical and physical processes stream related equipment, to support the Kairos Power fuels program. In this role, you will work within an engineering team to design, construct, commission, and optimize performance of the process equipment necessary for TRISO particle fabrication. You will also work cross-functionally with facility operations, facility engineers, quality assurance, and environmental, health and safety (EHS) to enable supporting functions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret process engineering information communicated via Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), including heat and material balances, process envelopes, and their integration into mechanical designs.
• Develop equipment specifications and size equipment such as tanks, vessels, valves, lines, and pumps based on process needs.

• Develop and/or approve manufacturing drawings for custom-designed equipment.

Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical (IC&E) Engineer with expertise in the development and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for chemical and physical processes to support the Kairos Power fuels program. In this role, you will work within a process and mechanical engineering team to facilitate design, construct, commission, and optimize process equipment and automation systems necessary for TRISO particle fabrication. You will also work cross-functionally with facility operations, facility engineers, quality assurance, and environmental, health & safety (EHS) to enable supporting functions. 

Responsibilities  

• Perform IC&E engineering functions, including supporting the development and implementation of process automation control to support the responsible engineer’s process control narrative and safety design approach.
• Support the responsible engineer in the development of equipment and instrumentation specifications to enable process control for tanks, vessels, valves, lines, and pumps based on process and operational needs as outlined by the responsible engineer.

• Support responsible engineers in providing technical instrumentation oversight for fuel fabrication processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement to improve safety, yield, reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency. 
• Support responsible engineers in process hazard analyses (e.g., HAZOPs, What-If analyses) by participating in team-based, design and operational safety reviews.
• Support responsible engineers in troubleshooting of process upsets, instrumentation equipment failures and quality deviations during fabrication, commissioning and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or similar discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. 
• 1+ years of experience performing duties as an IC&E engineer in a chemical, pharmaceutical, industrial, or manufacturing setting.
• Experience in reading and interpreting PFDs, P&IDs, equipment lists, and utility consumption lists.
• Experience working with hazardous processes and chemicals and implementing appropriate safety controls.
• Experience in commissioning new vendor supplied equipment, as well as being able to commission in-house designed equipment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

• Capability in using Cause-and-Effect (C&E) diagrams developed by responsible engineers, to inform controls sequencing.
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings to support IC&E design needs, in terms of cable routing.
• Proven team player with excellent verbal, written communication/presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with highly collaborative teams.
• Being able to identify opportunities for improvement of existing equipment.
• Ability to support design reviews by comparing process design intent against mechanical designs and identifying installation, integration, operational, and maintenance interface considerations under guidance.  
• Familiar with process documentation, including PFDs and P&IDs, and how they inform industrial system operations and integration.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to clearly document plans and effectively convey information across engineering, operations and leadership teams.
• Ability to be proactive and adaptable.
• Prioritizes and ensures safety of oneself and others.
• Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge.
• Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues. 

Physical Conditions 

• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, scissor lifts, articulated boom lifts and the like.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Adjusting, moving, transporting, installing, positioning, or removing objects up to 10 pounds in all directions.
