Ce que vous ferez
Epic Games est à la recherche d’un chef d’équipe, science des données proactif pour se joindre à l’équipe d’analyse de la jouabilité. À ce titre, vous dirigerez un groupe de scientifiques et de programmeurs pour assurer le cycle de vie complet des actifs analytiques, des rapports et des indicateurs. Votre objectif sera d'orienter les décisions stratégiques pour l’ensemble des produits et écosystèmes d’Epic, avec un accent particulier sur nos jeux de tir (Battle Royale, Reload, OG et Blitz). Le candidat retenu saura exploiter diverses technologies, méthodes statistiques et outils de visualisation pour influencer les équipes de développement, tout en encadrant ses collaborateurs et en collaborant avec des partenaires de tous les secteurs de l’entreprise.
Ce dont vous serez responsable
- Collaborer avec les équipes de conception, de développement et de gestion de produit pour cerner les occasions de croissance pour nos titres et l’entreprise, tout en définissant les mesures de performance qui orientent la stratégie
- Travailler directement avec les responsables de la programmation et des plateformes pour préciser et recueillir les informations nécessaires à la création de modèles analytiques
- Transformer les flux bruts en structures exploitables, en indicateurs de production et en rapports détaillés
- Évaluer continuellement la pertinence des mesures de succès pour les harmoniser avec la croissance à long terme de l’écosystème
- Faire équipe avec les concepteurs et les spécialistes produit pour élaborer des tests de validation rapides et approfondis afin d’optimiser la qualité du jeu
- Encadrer une petite équipe d’analystes, assurer leur mentorat et définir l’orientation de nos méthodes de recherche
Ce que nous recherchons
- Au moins 5 ans d’expérience pertinente dans l’industrie et une connaissance approfondie des jeux vidéo en service continu
- Au moins 2 ans d’expérience en gestion de personnel dans un volet technique ou analytique
- Sens aiguisé du produit et capacité démontrée à influencer les décisions par l'application de mesures concrètes
- Expérience de collaboration avec les équipes de développement pour l'instrumentation et le maintien de la qualité des flux d'information
- Maîtrise de SQL pour le traitement efficace de volumes massifs (milliards de lignes); connaissance des systèmes de calcul distribué comme Spark (Scala ou PySpark), un atout
- Expérience de développement au sein de l’écosystème analytique Python
- Connaissance des processus opérationnels de soutien : contrôle de version (GitHub ou équivalent), orchestration (Airflow) et outils de codage par IA (Claude Code)
- Compréhension de la conception expérimentale et des techniques de tests A/B
- Formation poussée en statistiques et compréhension approfondie des forces et faiblesses des différentes approches méthodologiques, un atout
- Expérience dans un environnement de type « full-stack » (acquisition, ETL, stockage, développement d'applications et contrôle de version), un atout

What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for a hands-on Data Science Lead to join the Gameplay Analytics team. You’ll lead a team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers and apply mixed methods to own the end-to-end life cycle of creating data assets, reports, insights, to impact the direction of efforts across Epic’s portfolio of products and ecosystems, with a particular focus on our Shooters Games (Battle Royale, Reload, OG, Blitz). The successful candidate will have the ability to apply a range of data technologies, statistical methods, and visualization methods to influence development and product teams, to manage a small team, and to partner with stakeholders across all parts of the business.
In this role, you will
- Partner with design, game development, and product management counterparts to identify opportunities for our first party Games and the business, and use data to develop metrics and insights that shape the execution of the strategy
- Work directly with engineering and data platform teams to properly scope and capture the data required to unlock insights and data models
- Transform raw data into data models, production metrics, reports, and insights
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of metrics and align them with long-term ecosystem growth
- Work with design, product, and analytics teams to quickly and rigorously design, test, and learn from experiments to improve our games
- Lead a small team of data analysts, help mentor them, and set the direction of our analytics approach
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years of industry or relevant experience, with proven interest in and knowledge of live service video games
- At least 2 years of experience managing a team of data professionals
- Strong product intuition and demonstrated background in influencing products by applying data and measurement to drive alignment
- Experience with working with development teams to instrument data and ensure continued data quality
- Experience with writing efficient and scalable SQL over billions of rows; it is a plus if you are familiar with distributed computing using Spark (Scala or PySpark)
- Development experience in Python analytics ecosystem
- Familiarity with supporting operational processes including: Code version control (Github or similar), Orchestration (Airflow), AI coding tools (Claude Code)
- Understanding of experimental design and A/B testing techniques
- Advanced statistical training and a thorough understanding of the associated strengths and weaknesses of different statistical approaches is a plus
- Experience in a “full-stack” environment - data file ingest, ETL, data storage interaction, application development, communication of results to storage systems, code version control is a plus
