About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Data Developer to join our Data & Intelligence division. Reporting to the Director of Data Engineering, you will design and implement scalable, complex data pipelines and infrastructure to power our data products.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to enhance the reliability and performance of our data systems, while influencing the enterprise-wide data architecture. You will also mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in data engineering.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cost-effective, and reliable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment with product and customer success teams.
• Architect and implement data storage solutions (data lakes, warehouses, real-time processing systems) and supporting cloud infrastructure.

What You Bring to the Team

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with data software development.
• Experience with AlayaCare’s stack (Python, PHP, Vue.JS, AWS).
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or related fields.
• Strong skills in DBT, SQL, Python, Snowflake, Iceberg, Spark, and AWS (ECS, S3, Aurora, RDS).
• Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis, and Flink.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in dimensional data modeling and semantic layer design.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.
• Mindset encouraging transparency, accountability, and trust.
• Experience in healthcare, home health, or medical devices is an asset.

MongoDB’s Storage Layer Services (SLS) team is re-architecting the MongoDB cloud storage layer and sits at the heart of our next-generation cloud storage architecture. This relatively new team is building performant, multi-tenant distributed storage services that both enhance today’s Atlas storage stack and enable more customer workloads to run more efficiently.

You will partner with the teams building these storage services to define SLOs, shape capacity plans, and ensure the reliability, durability, and operational safety of the storage layer that underpins Atlas. You’ll join a small, senior team of SREs as founding members of this organization, playing a crucial role in executing on a multi-year roadmap for MongoDB’s cloud storage architecture.

This role can be based out of our Toronto or Montreal office or remotely in the Canada while physically based in an Eastern or Central time zone location. 

The ideal candidate should

• Have 6+ years of experience working on software development and operating distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language
• Have operated or supported stateful storage or database systems at scale, and are comfortable with durability, consistency, and recovery trade-offs.
• Possess a customer-focused mindset
• Value efficiency in processes and operations
• Prefer automation over manual processes. We are a small team of software engineers with a strong bias towards software solutions to avoid toil
• Experience using and extending containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes, to enhance application agility, optimize resource utilization, and accelerate time-to-market
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure
• Understanding of Linux operating system internals and networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing)

Responsibilities 

• Work on our multi-tenant distributed storage systems, balancing long-term strategic infrastructure goals with immediate engineering needs
• Build for reliability, making services and infrastructure available, resilient, fault-tolerant, and self-healing
• Identify and configure key metrics to detect incidents and quantify service health, availability, and performance
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to resolve issues involving the storage infrastructure
• Become an expert in infrastructure performance, helping us optimize from the application level all the way to the kernel

Strong candidates may also have experience with:

• Leading major architectural shifts, such as moving from legacy storage stacks to new multi-tenant storage architectures, including planning and executing large-scale data and workload migrations with tight availability and durability requirements
• Managing and scaling infrastructure across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

As one of our DevSecOps Specialists, you will:

• Design and maintain security automation across CI/CD pipelines, embedding controls and security gates without slowing delivery.
• Build and operate infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines with security built in, managing secrets, identity and access management (IAM) policies, and hardened configurations at scale.
• Integrate and evolve vulnerability management workflows, including static application security testing (SAST), dynamic application security testing (DAST), software composition analysis (SCA), and container scanning.
• Automate compliance checks and policy enforcement across Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments to ensure continuous alignment with security standards.
• Design and maintain access management automation to provision, audit, and monitor access to infrastructure and sensitive resources.
• Partner with engineering and platform teams to make security tooling intuitive, scalable, and developer-friendly, reducing friction across the delivery lifecycle.

Here is what will qualify you for the role:

• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar) and embedding security controls directly into pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages to build reliable automation and integrations.
• Practical experience securing and automating cloud environments (AWS preferred), including compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of DevSecOps toolchains, including container security, secrets management, infrastructure-as-code scanning, dependency analysis, and vulnerability remediation workflows.

Join the team that builds and evolves Unity’s Package Manager ecosystem: the backbone that lets millions of creators discover, share, and integrate extensions that accelerate their workflows. You’ll collaborate across Unity to design and deliver robust backend services and editor integrations that power package authoring and consumption at global scale.

In your first months, success looks like shipping improvements to service features, contributing to key features in the package manager and editor integration, and raising code quality through tests and reviews. Longer term, you’ll help define the next‐generation of Unity ecosystem management.

What you'll be doing

• Design, implement, and operate backend services and registry components for Unity’s Package Manager (APIs, publishing/consumption workflows).

Au sujet du poste 
Nous recherchons une personne hautement qualifiée pour le poste d’ingénieur(e) principal(e) en logiciels Java, au sein de notre équipe dynamique, qui travaille sur des systèmes complexes offrant des services financiers à des millions de clients à l’échelle mondiale. Vous jouerez un rôle clé dans divers domaines : architecture d’entreprise, technologies de gestion des risques et applications de services bancaires d’investissement. Ce poste nécessite une solide expertise des technologies Java de base, des systèmes distribués évolutifs et des plateformes infonuagiques modernes. 

Principales responsabilités 

• Concevoir, développer et tenir à jour des applications financières hautement performantes et évolutives à l’aide de Java (Core Java), Spring Boot et Hibernate 

• Concevoir et intégrer des API REST et des microservices au sein d’une architecture de systèmes distribués 

• Collaborer avec des équipes multidisciplinaires utilisant des méthodologies Agile, afin de livrer en continu des logiciels de haute qualité, au moyen de pipelines d’intégration et de déploiement continus (CI/CD) et d’outils DevOps 

• Mettre en œuvre des solutions de messagerie au moyen de Kafka ou d’autres cadres de messagerie d’entreprise pour le traitement de flux de données en temps réel 

• Optimiser la performance des applications et assurer une adaptabilité et une grande disponibilité des systèmes dans un environnement de production exigeant 

• Favoriser les pratiques exemplaires en matière de tests automatisés (TDD/BDD), notamment à l’aide des cadres de test JUnit et Cucumber 

• Contribuer aux décisions concernant l’architecture d’entreprise, en mettant l’accent sur la robustesse et la réduction des risques dans des systèmes financiers d’entreprise 
• Exploiter les services infonuagiques (AWS, Azure ou GCP) pour déployer et gérer des applications natives en nuage résilientes 

Compétences et expérience requises 

• Solide expertise en Java (Core Java, Java 8+) et excellente compréhension des mécanismes internes de la JVM 

• Connaissance pratique approfondie de Spring Boot et d’Hibernate (ORM) 

• Expérience démontrée dans la conception et le développement des API REST et d’architectures de microservices 

• Expérience pratique de Kafka ou de plateformes de diffusion d’événements similaires 

• Connaissance des plateformes infonuagiques telles qu’AWS, Azure ou GCP, y compris le déploiement et la surveillance 

• Maîtrise de la prestation de logiciels Agile et de l’automatisation CI/CD 

• Excellente connaissance des pratiques TDD/BDD, notamment avec les cadres JUnit et Cucumber 

• Expérience en optimisation de la performance et en maximisation de la disponibilité des systèmes à grande échelle 

• Connaissance pratique des technologies de services financiers, des systèmes de gestion des risques ou des applications de services bancaires d’investissement, atout majeur 
• Parfaite maîtrise de l’anglais en contexte professionnel, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit 

Aptitudes souhaitées 

• Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en informatique, en génie ou dans un domaine connexe 

• Expérience en conteneurisation (Docker, Kubernetes) et en architectures natives en nuage (cloud-native).
