What you'll do

Implementing our ambitious expansion plan in Italy, we joined forces with Vettore Medical and we are now looking for a Software Engineer to join our tech team in Milano.

Our mission is simple: every product we build improves the daily life of healthcare professionals and patients. Joining Doctolib, you will be part of a team of 400+ software engineers: you will be writing high-quality, secure, performant and well-tested code that helps thousands of healthcare professionals spend more time caring for their patients, deploying it to some of the largest medical facilities in Europe. 

As a Software Engineer II in the Vettore Medical team, you will be working on a cloud SaaS solution for clinics and medical offices. You will join a small feature team and be responsible for evolving the product and integrating it within our ecosystem.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Designing and implementing new features using Microsoft technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, TypeScript, Visual Studio...);
• Identifying opportunities to improve engineering standards, tooling and processes;
• Work closely with product and other tech teams (infrastructure, security, tooling...) to help define our roadmap.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team in our Milan's tech hub: your mission will be working on the Continuity of Care technology.

You will work with the team to extract the Patient Base Capability from the monolith to an isolated service and to add new functionalities to the doctor-to-patients communication engine.

We're looking for an all round role: you will help build the product with our Product Manager, coding, deploying and working with feedback from users. Here's an idea of your daily schedule:

• 60% on designing and implementing new features, according to the roadmap;
• 20% on tech tasks (stability, security, technical debt, you name it!);
• 20% on bug fixes in order to have a healthy platform.

Preferred:

• Celonis Certifications and extensive leadership experience managing projects with OCPM and Case Centric Data Pipelines.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Core Data team and play a key role in transforming TheFork’s data capabilities through the implementation of a modern, self-service Data Platform (DPaaS).

In this role, you will not only build scalable, production-grade data pipelines, but also contribute to designing and evolving the platform that enables domain teams to autonomously produce and consume trusted data products.

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Design and implement scalable, production-grade data pipelines following strong software engineering practices (version control, CI/CD, automated testing, observability).
• Lead the evolution of orchestration patterns in Airflow to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Drive technical POCs to evaluate new tools, architectural patterns, and performance improvements aligned with the platform roadmap.
• Contribute to shaping and validating the target data architecture in collaboration with Architects, Staff Engineers, and DataOps.
• Proactively identify system weaknesses and design for failure, defining mitigation strategies and resilience patterns.

Data Governance & Quality

• Implement and enforce data contracts and quality controls aligned with defined SLOs.
• Apply data modeling best practices including medallion architecture to create trusted, reusable data assets
• Contribute to establishing domain ownership principles and clear single sources of truth.
• Ensure lineage, metadata, and observability mechanisms are embedded by design in all pipelines.

Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering

• Strong experience with AWS-based data architectures (S3, IAM, networking fundamentals).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform).
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
• Understanding of security-by-design principles in cloud data environments.

Data Quality, Governance & Observability

• Experience implementing data quality frameworks, data contracts, and validation strategies.
• Strong understanding of metadata management, lineage tracking, and monitoring practices.
• Experience embedding observability and reliability into pipelines (alerting, SLOs, incident response mindset).

Execution & Autonomy

• Lead initiatives end-to-end, from problem framing to production rollout, with high autonomy.

Role Description:

As part of the consulting team, the DORA Governance & TPRM Specialist will:

• Support the definition, implementation, and evolution of the Digital Operational Resilience framework in line with DORA, including governance, roles, responsibilities, and reporting
• Monitor and manage ICT and third-party risks, with a focus on service providers and outsourcing arrangements
• Contribute to the ICT Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework, including risk assessment, due diligence, and ongoing supplier monitoring
• Support second line of defense activities within the ERM framework (e.g., KRI, RAF, controls), focusing on ICT and security risks
• Maintain and update the Register of Information (RoI), ensuring data quality and completeness of ICT services and providers
• Support the definition and maintenance of policies and procedures related to ICT risk, digital resilience, and third-party management
• Contribute to the ICT Risk Appetite Framework, including indicators, thresholds, and escalation mechanisms
• Support ICT incident management oversight and remediation processes
• Prepare reporting and dashboards to communicate ICT and third-party risk exposure to senior stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on digital resilience initiatives

Skills and Experience

To qualify for the role you must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering, law or related fields
• 3–6 years of experience in ICT Governance / Risk & Compliance / Operational Resilience / Third Party Risk Management, and consulting
• Good knowledge of Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and ICT risk management frameworks
• Understanding of ICT outsourcing and third-party risk management processes
• Experience in drafting policies, procedures and regulatory documentation
• Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills
• Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across different functions

Nice to have:

• Professional certifications (e.g. CRISC, CISA, CISM, ISO 27001, ISO 22301)
• Experience in financial services or insurance sector

Skills and Experience

To qualify for the role you must have:

• Excellent knowledge of Java 8+, Spring Boot, Gradle, Maven, Mockito, Microservice architecture
• Excellent knowledge of Object-oriented programming and familiarity with functional programming languages
• Excellent understanding of collections and concurrency in Java
• Experience in working with restful APIs
• Good understanding of different databases (Relational and NoSQL)
• Expert knowledge in the unit test, static code analysis and BDD/TDD
• Experience in continuous integration with Git, Jenkins, Nexus
• Practices Agile methodologies
• Able to do code reviews/ mentor and train junior developers
• Write highly available, maintainable, and secure code
• Good understanding of Web and Architectural design patterns
• Stakeholder Management and able to communicate well to all the team members
• Experience with container technologies including Docker / Kubernetes

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Terraform and Event-driven architecture
• Golang
• Participated in redesigning a monolith system to a set of microservices
• Knowledge of serverless functions like AWS Lambda/Azure Functions/GCP functions
• Have experience in Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ etc.)
• Good understanding of Service Security Protocols (OAuth2, SAML etc.)
• Practical experience on at least one cloud
• Experience in integration with 3rd party applications and vendors
• Experience in integration of QA automation tools
• Great understanding of the Solid Principles, OWASP, CAP Theorem and Distributed Systems Design
