About Internship

We invite students to work in a team up to five developers to create an application. The development process is supervised by Coherent Solutions Team Lead and Project Manager and follows Scrum methodology. The practical part of the training is enriched with a series of meetups on a variety of project-related topics: introduction into SDLC, Agile and Scrum; requirements analysis; estimation methods; task management; time management; team communication and conflict resolution; effective meetings; resume and interview best practices.

By the end of your Internship, you will get market-oriented practical experience in requirements analysis, design and implementation phases, task estimation, sprint planning, team communication and reporting, code review, and sprint demo. 

We expect you:

• are a student of IT or similar field looking to start your career;
• can demonstrate the basic knowledge of programming and algorithms (Java 11-17, MySQL/ PostgreSQL);

About the Client  

The company has been building solutions for mobile apps, effortless payment, business travel, and advertising since 1992. The customer is developing a mobility platform that allows operators to manage their vehicles and drivers efficiently, regulators to be informed and establish guidelines, service providers to deliver sustainable solutions, and riders to have an effortless transit experience.

Project Team

The project is a taxi ordering service and it contains the following components:

• Ride server (all data processing)
• Payment server (PCI DSS-compliant), which performs a transaction with the passenger's digital wallet and payment gateways
• Mobile application (hail taxi, geocoding, map, payments)
• Taxi terminal (3rd party)

The project integrates with 3rd party services, including PayPal, MasterPass, Stripe, and Twilio.

The team itself consists of 1 Team Lead, 1 UI Developers, 6 Back-End Developers, 9 Mobile Developers, 5 QA, 2 BA and 2 Designer.

What You’ll Do  

• Design, build, and operate reliable, scalable distributed systems
• Improve system availability, performance, and resilience
• Automate infrastructure, deployments, and operational processes
• Diagnose and resolve production issues
• Lead upgrades and migrations with minimal or zero downtime
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
• Collaborate closely with development teams to improve operability

You will be the founding leader of a lean, high-impact team acting as the vital link between Tide’s core engineering and our global financial and people operations.

As an Engineering Manager, you will play a dual role: acting as a hands-on technical strategist and a foundational leader.  You will be responsible for hiring  a small team of engineers and planning a 12 month roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders and product managers. On the Finance side, your team will own the SAP integration landscape, ensuring that our financial backbone is scalable, automated, and resilient. You won’t just be managing internal workflows; you will be the key technical representative for Finance within the broader Tide engineering organization, collaborating closely with Billing, Payments, and other core teams.
