You will be leading local operations projects and working closely with other cross-functional/HQ stakeholders to support our mission to make cities more sustainable, accessible, and affordable.

Your daily adventures will include:

• Managing and supporting operations projects by defining precise local operational processes, with a focus on strong operational execution and results, always having our stakeholders in mind.
• Developing strategies to strengthen the driver's value proposition, to grow our supply base, performance, and retention continually.
• Analyzing data – you will be monitoring supply metrics to ensure marketplace health and act upon insights.
• Identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities on a local level that may impact the business.
• Advising and closely collaborating with HQ teams such as Product, Legal or Marketing to develop and execute key initiatives that drive growth and efficiency.
• Taking ownership of Bolt's growth by ensuring both local operations and HQ teams support and collaborate actively with each other to meet business goals.

• You are a great collaborator with excellent negotiation and communication skills (both verbal and written) in English and Ukranian.
• You have an expertise in project management.

About the Job

ARX Ukraine is looking for a motivated Junior Field Software Engineer to join our cross-functional team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our development lab and real-world environments, ensuring our products perform reliably in the field. You will be responsible for deploying, testing, and fine-tuning software on physical hardware, working closely with both our engineering team and end-users.

This is an ideal role for a Junior Embedded Engineer who enjoys hands-on work and wants to see their code in action on cutting-edge autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Deployment & Integration: Assist in deploying software updates to our products and integrating various sensors and communication modules.
• Field Testing: Participate in field trials to validate software performance, collect logs, and identify areas for optimization in real-world conditions.
• Software Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain software components, focusing on object-oriented design and modern C++.
• Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshoot software-hardware interactions both onsite and remotely.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, testing procedures, and development processes.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside the Team Lead and senior engineers to incorporate user feedback into our software development lifecycle. 

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of modern C++ and familiarity with object-oriented design principles.
• System Knowledge: Familiarity with Embedded Linux and development for resource-constrained “Edge” devices.
• Tools: Basic experience with version control (e.g., Git) and an understanding of software development methodologies.
• Robotics Fundamentals: Knowledge of robotics concepts and tools; experience with ROS2 is a significant advantage
• Communication: Good problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Mobility: Willingness to work onsite in the Kyiv area and participate in outdoor field testing.
• English: At least B1 level 

Nice to have:

• Both driver’s license and driving experience on a mechanical gearbox.
• Willingness to travel for business trips across Ukraine
