Lead the RICA Seed Center’s science and training services. We seek an expert to manage technical research and professional courses, ensuring absolute integrity and excellence to help 1M+ farmers access high-quality seed in Rwanda. This role will have a 40% research, 40% postgraduate-level teaching, and 20% management requirement.

Responsibilities

Lead Department Strategy, Team & Operational Excellence

• Define and drive the Seed Center’s Scientific/Technology strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with long-term industry impartiality and impact goals.

Role Summary

ALX is seeking a highly analytical, execution-focused Performance Marketing Specialist to drive learner acquisition and growth in Rwanda.

This role is designed for a marketer who is deeply fluent in paid acquisition, conversion tracking, attribution, and campaign optimization, and who measures success through pipeline quality, enrollments, acquisition efficiency, and return on investment.

The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of media buying, data infrastructure, analytics, and growth experimentation. They will be responsible not only for launching and optimizing campaigns, but also for ensuring the integrity of the tracking ecosystem, strengthening visibility across the acquisition funnel, and enabling faster, smarter decision-making through robust reporting and insights. Specific Responsibilities

Performance Media Strategy and Campaign Execution

• Lead the strategy, setup, execution, and optimisation of paid digital campaigns across key performance channels, including Meta, Google, and other relevant acquisition platforms.

The Entrepreneurship Development Manager will be instrumental in nurturing and expanding the entrepreneurial ecosystem within the country market. This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to drive both operational excellence and strategic vision as a core member of a City Team. The Manager will report directly to the City General Manager for day-to-day operational leadership and program implementation, while also maintaining a strategic reporting line to the Entrepreneurship Director to ensure alignment with our global entrepreneurial efforts, in particular with our flagship ALX Ventures program. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Screen, select, and onboard potential candidates from the Founder Academy graduates into the Incubator program, balancing both virtual and in-person delivery formats.
• Facilitate high-impact workshops, peer learning sessions, and milestone reviews that guide founders from prototype to market launch.
• Connect startups to tailored support such as intern placements, advisors, industry mentors, and investors.
• Organize Demo Days and local Pitch Events to showcase startups, attract partners, and position ventures for growth and investment.
• Engage with local investment, innovation, and startup communities to foster collaboration and visibility for ALX ventures.
• Design and host Masterclasses featuring leading entrepreneurs, investors, and domain experts across diverse sectors.
• Curate and manage a pool of local mentors and advisors, matching them with startups based on stage, sector, and growth needs.
• Build partnerships with local entrepreneurship hubs, accelerators, and ecosystem actors to enhance resource sharing and opportunity pipelines.
• Support alumni founders in accessing follow-on support programs, markets, and funding.

Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Track and analyze program performance metrics, including recruitment, completion, venture launches, and investment outcomes. 
• Generate periodic reports and insights for internal teams and external stakeholders. 
• Continuously refine program strategies based on learner feedback and market trends.

REQUIREMENTS 

• Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in entrepreneurship operations, venture building, or program and project management, ideally within innovation hubs, accelerators, or startup ecosystems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Proven track record working with startups or entrepreneurial ventures, with hands-on experience in launching, scaling, or mentoring businesses. Previous experience as a founder or startup coach is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate entrepreneurship programs, demo days, masterclasses, and mentorship networks.
• Experience leading cross-functional or program delivery teams, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating effectively with central and regional stakeholders.
• Proven capacity to lead fundraising initiatives, develop and manage partnerships with investors, corporates, development partners, and government entities to advance entrepreneurship programs.
• Ecosystem Engagement: Deep understanding of the African entrepreneurship ecosystem, with an active network of startup mentors, ecosystem players, and investors.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities; confident representing ALX to partners, investors, and founders.
• Strong planning, coordination, and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to delivery.
• Adept at stakeholder engagement and partnership management, maintaining strong relationships across multiple levels and sectors.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in Kigali. Candidates are required to work from the ALX Hub daily as part of the Kigali City Team.

About the Role

The Financial Reporting Associate is responsible for the end to end ownership of internal and external financial reporting and compliance for the Rwanda Program.

The role entails quality financial closes, robust internal and regulatory compliance management across all programs, reporting to external stakeholders, strategic financial planning and analysis, and finance business partnering. 

Responsibilities

Lead Financial Reporting & Close Processes

• Own and project manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
• Deliver high-quality financial reports, including variance analysis, in line with accounting standards and organisational requirements.
• Coordinate across finance and business teams to ensure accurate and consistent financial data.

Ensure Compliance, Tax & Regulatory Integrity

• Lead tax compliance and ensure adherence to all regulatory, VAT, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee intercompany invoicing and ensure accuracy and compliance across entities.
• Partner with Accounting, Legal, and external auditors to address audit findings and strengthen controls.

Oversee Grant Financial Tracking & Reporting

• Manage financial reporting for key grants, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organisational standards.
• Track grant utilisation, shared service allocations, and funding flows with accuracy and transparency.
• Provide regular financial updates and insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Drive Business Partnering & Financial Planning

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and BVA processes for assigned departments, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
• Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain key financial models, including gross margin tracking and performance monitoring tools.

Strengthen Financial Systems, Risk Management & Team Capability

Qualifications
