Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. As a Grants Finance Manager, you will help advance our mission by overseeing the financial aspects of our grants portfolio, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Working with finance and fundraising teams, you'll ensure efficient grant management to support our annual grant portfolio exceeding $130 million. Reporting directly to the Grants Finance Team Lead, this role offers experienced professionals an opportunity to drive positive change and contribute to our organization's strategic growth.

Grant Proposal Development & Strategy: Develop & manage grant budgets
Grant Reporting & Audit Readiness: Monitor grant expenditures, lead audits, and ensure full compliance with grant requirements
Systems Management & Process Improvement: Own and implement long-term system improvements.

One Acre Fund operates throughout Central and Southern Province in Zambia. In recent years, we pivoted to a climate-smart agriculture-based program in response to the unique challenges. Our approach is more focused on carbon sequestration and the generation of carbon credits to create a sustainable, scalable impact. Our office in Zambia is located in Kabwe.
The Financial Advisory Services Specialist in Zambia supports the financial health and sustainability of One Acre Fund’s Carbon and Core programs. You'll collaborate closely with local and Global Finance teams to lead budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting that directly influence program performance and organizational strategy. You'll work within a two-person Zambia FAS team, consisting of a FAS Associate and this Specialist role.

You will support the Uganda program with financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting to inform decision-making. In addition, you will collaborate with the Grants Finance team in overseeing the financial aspects of specific Uganda-focused grants, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Our Rwanda program, founded in 2007 is our largest and operates under the local brand Tubura. We have more than 3,000 staff across all four provinces of Rwanda, as well as in Kigali. Together, we served more than 2.8 million farmers in 2024. We work closely with the government to support national efforts to improve food security. Additionally, we help channel funding and resources to promising agri-SMEs, supporting farmers by providing a market for high-impact crops such as coffee, avocado, and chili.
The Financial Reporting Associate is responsible for the end to end ownership of internal and external financial reporting and compliance for the Rwanda Program.
The role entails quality financial closes, robust internal and regulatory compliance management across all programs, reporting to external stakeholders, strategic financial planning and analysis, and finance business partnering.
