• For all Academy Associates, at least a portion of this training will take place in our New York City office.

Upon Successful Graduation: The Analyst Role

Upon the successful completion of the Academy, you’ll have the opportunity to interview for an equity research analyst role at Point72, where you’ll work closely with your portfolio manager and team to develop a deep understanding of companies across industries and around the world. Through fundamental research and financial analysis, you’ll attempt to see change before it happens and turn those insights into actionable investment ideas. About the role

In the role of Senior Royalties Analyst, you will report to the Manager, Financial Contract Reporting - Royalties.

We are considering applicants for the location of Tokyo, Japan. 

• Deliver contractual obligations statements to partners for IP invested by managing timelines.
• Clarify the terms of agreements and build contractual calculations for co-production and other types of licensing in and out agreements.
• Prepare all financial statements with a thorough review of various aspects such as gross calculations, royalty calculations, taxes, window fees, order of recoupment, deal/committee structure setup, payment due, payments applied per participant, and any other contractual terms specified in executed deals.
• Prepare required reports to the US parent company for review and approval.
• Help implement and adopt new systems and processes to increase efficiency and ensure full SOX and internal control compliance.
• Post and reconcile to the accounting systems the transactions related to contractual obligations.
• Partner with Accounting and Co-Production teams to implement better ways of working throughout the business to super-serve our licensors.
• Work with international counterparts to ensure understanding of Royalty processes and tracking of financial reporting.
• Support other departments with inquiries or ad-hoc projects related to royalty payables.
• Align with and complete internal audit requirements (including SOX), managing checklists, reviews, and approval.

Core Areas of Responsibility

• Calculate Co-Production Royalties Statements with accuracy and work with Producers, Accounting, Business Affairs, and the US counterparts.
• Prepare Accounts Receivable files and work with the Accounting team.
• Participate in the new royalties system implementation, coordinating efforts, completing user testing, and collaborating, including providing recommendations to ensure the Japan setup is functional and supports full automation of statement processing.
• Review the royalty statements from the US parent entity and work with relevant departments to ensure accuracy.

NiCE Actimize is currently seeking an experienced AML Business Analyst to join our dynamic and growing Professional Services team located in Tokyo, Japan.

How will you make an impact?  

• Perform business analysis to support the deployment of Anti Money Laundering solutions
• Lead/Perform data and quality analysis including data mapping reviews, data validation and remediation, alert validation, and issue impact analysis
• Perform statistical analysis and tune our growing model set
• Evaluate and respond to business and functional requirement requests
• Prepare use cases, test cases and test data
• Perform data analysis     
• Provide advice and business consultancy on solution design options, impacts of modifications on the existing system, and how to establish and operate related aspects of their business
• Ensure a smooth transition from the sales process to the project
• Ensure all client business objectives are met as identified through the sales process and planned for through the implementation of the solution.
• Provide advice and business consultancy to prospects and customers to gather requirements for product enhancements

Have you got what it takes? 

• 8–10+ years of experience as a subject matter expert in a product‑based organization, with hands‑on Financial Services experience (banking, brokerage, or insurance) — a must.
• Experience as an SME in financial crime, compliance, and AML solutions for BFSI clients is a strong advantage
• External Consulting or Professional Services experience at a vendor – A PLUS
• Fluent in English and Japanese written and verbal communication.
• Good knowledge and hands‑on experience using BA‑level SQL skills to efficiently retrieve and analyze data for reporting and insights
• Business operations and risk analysis experience
• Customer-facing experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience writing detailed specifications
• Team-oriented and yet able to work independently

Point72 Academy Insight Program は、投資のキャリアに関心を持つ大学生を対象とした、対面形式・1週間の職場体験プログラムです。専攻分野を問わず、あらゆる学問分野の学生に向けて設計されています。

プログラム概要
本プログラムは、2026年12月〜2028年9月の間に卒業予定の学生を対象に、Point72のビジネスや企業文化について理解を深めていただくことを目的としています。また、より多くの学生に投資業界でのキャリアを知っていただき、そのキャリアパスへのアクセス機会を広げることを目指しています。

東京オフィスでの5日間を通じて、金融市場への理解を深めながら、Point72 Academyで働く社員の日々の業務を間近で見学していただきます。

Point72で働くとはどのようなことかを実際に体感しながら、当社のビジネスの基礎を学び、投資アイデアがどのように生み出されるのかを理解するとともに、チームメンバーと交流する機会が得られます。

また、Point72 Academyアソシエイトの役割についての理解を深めるとともに、Academyのリーダーから直接フィードバックを受ける機会も提供されます。

インサイト・プログラムでは、以下の内容に取り組んでいただきます。

The Point72 Academy’s Insight Program is an in-person, one-week work shadowing program designed to introduce undergraduate students from all academic backgrounds to a career in investing.

Point72 Academy Insight Program – Japan

This program is open to students planning to graduate between December 2026 to September 2028 who are eager to learn about our business and company culture. Our goal is to increase students’ awareness and access to a career in investing. Over the course of five days in our Tokyo office, you will gain exposure to financial markets and observe the day-to-day activities of our Academy professionals.  You’ll experience firsthand what it’s like to work at Point72 — learning the fundamentals of our business, seeing how investment ideas are developed, and interacting with our team. You’ll also gain insight into the role of a Point72 Academy Associate and receive feedback from Academy leadership.

During the Insight Program, you will:

• Learn the Business: Gain an understanding of the role of a Point72 investment analyst by interacting with our professionals.
• Observe and Reflect: Watch Academy teaching sessions, reflect on your observations and discuss your insights with a Point72 Academy Coach.
• Explore your interests: Discover where your skills and passions fit best by immersing yourself in interactive learning sessions, and skills workshops.
• Expand Your Network: Work with fellow students interested in finance throughout the program and broaden your network.

Who we’re looking for:

• We welcome students from all academic disciplines. Your field of study or major is not a determining factor; we seek individuals who can effectively manage teamwork, exhibit integrity, possess intellectual curiosity, demonstrate leadership potential, and express a keen interest in the financial markets.

As a Market Integrity Analyst, you will be the lead investigator and architect of our surveillance systems, identifying sophisticated manipulation and ensuring our ecosystem remains a trusted foundation for global finance.

Your Core Responsibilities

• Monitor on-chain and off-chain trading activity to detect, investigate, and prevent market abuse, including wash trading, spoofing, layering, and front-running.

• Develop and refine statistical models and heuristics to identify anomalous behavior that traditional rule-based systems might miss.

• Conduct deep-dive investigations into flagged transactions, tracing the flow of funds and correlating cross-platform activity to uncover coordinated manipulation.

• Design and maintain real-time dashboards and comprehensive reports on market health for protocol governance and community transparency.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate advanced surveillance tools and automate the detection of emerging threat typologies.

Who You Are

• You have a keen eye for detail and a "sixth sense" for identifying when market data doesn't add up.

• You are comfortable working with large datasets and using Python or SQL to extract actionable insights from raw blockchain data.

• You understand the mechanics of AMMs, order-book DEXs, and the specific incentives that drive malicious actors in a decentralized environment.

• You operate with the highest level of integrity, providing neutral, evidence-based assessments that protect the protocol's reputation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in financial surveillance, market oversight, or data science within a high-frequency trading or exchange environment.

• Proven proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Dune Analytics, Tableau, or Grafana).

• Deep understanding of market manipulation schemes and the regulatory landscape surrounding digital assets.

• Experience with blockchain analytics platforms (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic, or Solidus Labs) is a significant plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
