About the team

The Stripe Product Accounting Team is responsible for supporting all products at Stripe, consulting on accounting implications and supporting teams' ability to make informed strategic decisions. We are responsible for the accurate and timely recording of all business-generated transactions on our balance sheet and income statement. What you’ll do

Stripe is seeking an experienced accountant to join its world class accounting team and help us scale for the future, in a fast-paced environment that is growing rapidly. In this role you will support our Payments and Payment Products revenue accounting, leveraging your technical expertise with US GAAP, specifically ASC 606, to quickly identify accounting implications and impacts to customers while advising and collaborating with team members cross-functionally to develop operational processes that help us scale.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable accounting processes to support global growth in payment processing accounting
• Partner closely with our product, go-to-market, and finance partners to thoroughly understand new products, features, and contracts.
• Partner with internal systems and engineering teams to support internal financial systems and automation of accounting processes
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities
• Develop and maintain up-to-date accounting procedural documentation
• Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, financial reporting deliverables, and analytical reviews
• Produce internal management analyses and reporting
• Support external audit processes

Minimum requirements

• An accountancy qualification (e.g CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 2 - 3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Degree in Accounting or Finance background
• Proven experience in the monthly close process, journal preparation and posting, audit, regulatory reporting and exposure to accounting systems.
• Experience in month end reporting and financial statement preparation
• Working knowledge of US GAAP - ASC 606 
• The ability to bring structure to ambiguous areas of opportunity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment
• Strong analytical skills and strong knowledge of Excel
• An enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality

The International Accounting Manager for the Controllership function will supervise and evaluate a number of Legal entity controllership processes and have experience implementing new systems and tools. This position will suit a person who is a hands-on manager and excited to assist in managing the monthly close, statistical reporting, compliances, coordinating with board to adopt and approve financial statements, indirect tax filings, cash flow forecasting, intercompany accounting, statutory reporting, consolidation, and audits of all our international subsidiaries and branches. Based in the Bangalore office, you will be on the ground floor of this function with an opportunity to set the pace and direction for the future.  

Responsibilities

• Build, develop and lead a team that drives International Accounting Controllership function based out of Bangalore Finance. 
• Perform and drive monthly / quarterly close activities, including manual journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses and analytical reviews, producing internal management reporting and external audit support
• Identify potential inefficiencies in existing processes and propose improvements
• Participate in building scalable accounting processes, establish measures of success, set benchmarks and improve timelines and efficiencies to support global growth
• Partner with Billing, Internal Systems, Treasury, Tax and/or Legal to investigate issues that arise during reporting cycles
• Define and execute efficient internal control documentation and sign-off procedures including the country prescribed regulatory frameworks (ICFR, SOX, GFS etc)

• Develop, manage and improve process metrics utilizing automation, lean practices and process optimization to scale

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Manager SOC 2 oversees multiple System and Organisation Controls (SOC) examination engagements within the firm’s assurance practice. This role manages the planning, execution, and delivery of  SOC2 attestation engagements, ensuring compliance with AICPA attestation standards and firm quality requirements. 

The Senior Manager serves as a key client contact, guiding SOC reporting requirements, control design, and compliance expectations. This role oversees engagement teams, reviews technical work, and ensures high-quality delivery across engagements. 

In addition to engagement delivery, the Senior Manager supports practice growth, contributes to business development efforts, and plays a critical role in developing Managers and junior staff within the SOC practice. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Engagement Leadership 
• Manage and oversee SOC 2 examination engagements from planning through report delivery 
• Coordinate multiple concurrent engagements while ensuring adherence to AICPA attestation standards (SSAE 18 / AT-C 205 / AT-C 320)

Indirect Tax Accounting

This position involves preparing accurate tax returns, developing tax-saving strategies, and ensuring timely payments. The Tax Accountant collaborates with internal teams and external auditors to support audits, minimize risks, and align the organization's financial strategies with tax requirements.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Working on Indirect Taxation Taxation matters with the third party tax consultants including filing of tax returns and finalization of Audits, Accounts, Documentation and MIS Reporting for US and international geographies

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable, hands-on Senior Accountant to help support both the operational and statutory accounting functions of our India subsidiary and month-end close processes. This role will play a critical part in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and scalable processes across geographies.

About the Role

As a Lead - International taxation, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the international tax activities of our organization. The Senior Accountant will serve as a key accounting resource within Skild AI’s finance function. This is a hands-on, full-cycle accounting role requiring ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, payroll accounting, and general ledger management.

• Verify vendor invoices, process vendor payments, and ensure proper documentation including tax invoices.

About the role
