The Position

MetaDefender Industrial Firewall by OPSWAT is a purpose-built security solution designed to protect OT and ICS environments. It provides deep packet inspection for industrial protocols, AI-driven policy generation, and high-performance, low-latency protection to ensure both security and operational continuity.

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to support the quality assurance of OPSWAT’s cybersecurity products. In this role, you will work closely with experienced team members and be involved in different stages of the software development lifecycle, with opportunities to learn both manual and automation testing.

What You Will Be Doing

• Execute manual test cases and support automated testing activities
• Review product requirements and clarify test scenarios with the team
• Write and maintain basic test cases and test documentation
• Perform different types of testing, including: functional testing, integration testing, API testing (basic level), regression testing and usability testing
• Support automation tasks using Python (with guidance from senior team members)
• Identify, document, and track bugs clearly
• Assist in reproducing issues and supporting troubleshooting when needed

What We Need From You

• 0–2 years of experience in software testing or a strong interest in QA
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes
• Familiarity with Linux environment and web application testing
• Basic programming knowledge in Python or willingness to learn automation
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., Routing, Switching, VPN is a plus)
• Willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
• Familiarity with using AI tools to improve productivity
• Good written English communication skills

It Would Be Nice If You Had

• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Git, or CI/CD tools like TeamCity
• Exposure to test automation or scripting
• Basic knowledge or interest in cybersecurity or networking
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal)

The Position

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect professional to drive the growth and adoption of OPSWAT’s MetaDefender NetWall across the APAC region.

MetaDefender NetWall enables secure, real-time data transfer between networks of different security classifications, helping protect critical OT environments and industrial systems from network-borne cyber threats.

In this role, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the NetWall product line, partnering closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions to customers operating in critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, manufacturing, transportation, and government.

You will combine deep technical expertise in networking and OT environments with business development insight to identify new market opportunities, support complex customer engagements, and influence the product strategy for future growth.

This role is based in APAC and requires regional travel to support customer engagements, industry events, and partner development activities.

What You Will Be Doing

Technical Leadership & Customer Engagement

• Serve as the technical expert for MetaDefender NetWall across the APAC region.
• Partner with the sales team to design secure OT network architectures and deliver solution-driven presentations to customers and partners.
• Lead technical workshops, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements to validate solutions and achieve technical design wins.
• Guide customers through prequalification, architecture design, and deployment planning.

Market Development & Strategy

• Identify new market opportunities and emerging use cases for MetaDefender NetWall in critical infrastructure and industrial environments.
• Develop business cases, technical requirements, and market insights to support product expansion.
• Collaborate with the product team to translate customer needs into product enhancements and roadmap input.

Sales Enablement & Partnerships

• Develop solution positioning, technical messaging, and sales enablement materials to help internal teams effectively present security offerings.
• Build and nurture strategic partnerships with technology vendors, system integrators, and industry partners to expand the reach of the NetWall product line.
• Represent OPSWAT at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical events across the APAC region.

What We Need From You

• 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Network Architect, or similar technical customer-facing role
• Strong expertise in data networking technologies and protocols, including BGP, routing, and SD-WAN architectures
• Solid background in Operational Technology (OT) environments and familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) and common industrial protocols
• Proven ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value for customers
• Experience leading Proof-of-Concept engagements and technical solution design
• Strong skills in technical documentation, requirements definition, and business case development
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical engineers and executive stakeholders
• Willingness and ability to travel across the APAC region (approximately 25–30%) to support customer meetings, technical workshops, industry conferences, and partner engagements.

YOUR STORY:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Tooling Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training are also acceptable. 
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant industry experience in manufacturing or research and development, including manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering, and tooling engineering. 
• Extensive expertise in the molding process, equipment, materials, and mold tooling. 
• Solid understanding of product fabrication, tooling, materials, and manufacturing methods. 
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, sketches, and 3D digital files. 
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and simultaneously manage several projects requiring innovative ideas and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong digital literacy, including familiarity with Google Workspace, spreadsheets, database management, and proficiency with 2D/3D CAD/CAM tools and pattern engineering software, is highly desired. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 10%, as business needs require. 

Position Overview:

You’ll lead APAC PE/TD/CMF team to interface with product management, project management, industrial design, quality assurance, prototyping, testing, design engineering and merchandise sourcing in delivering a constant flow of innovative products. You also will collaborate with resource managers across product creation to plan, resource, and execute new projects. Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization’s established policies and objectives. Utilize best practice engineering methods and provide expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives. Incorporate components, materials, and tools that result in cost-effective and quality output. Groom and develop the engineering team to build a strong Production Engineering discipline.
