About the Team:
The Sensors Division at STR focuses on technology development for advanced sensor systems and platforms in support of national security requirements. Our particular focus areas include airborne/spaceborne/surface-based radar, electronic warfare, underwater acoustics, hyperspectral imaging, and EO/IR sensing. To support these missions, the Division’s efforts span multiple technical areas, including RF analog/digital hardware, acoustic hardware, signal processing algorithms, machine learning algorithms, systems analysis, and real-time embedded processor implementation.
The Algorithms, Processing and Experimentation (APEX) Group specializes in development of RF/radar modes, skills and applications, with particular emphasis on advanced signal processing chains and associated algorithm research. We mature these technologies with the objective of implementation, integration, and eventual utility in RF-based systems, typically tailoring our work for highly specific Defense (e.g., Air Force, Space Force, Navy, DARPA, etc.) and Intelligence Community needs.
About the Role:
As a Principal Signal Processing Researcher, you will create and lead technical teams that develop, test, integrate, and demonstrate novel signal processing, optimization, and machine learning algorithms for advanced electronic warfare and sensor applications.
A successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and substantial expertise in several of the following areas: optimization, electronic warfare, adaptive signal processing, machine learning, algorithm development, algorithm integration, test & evaluation, model & simulation, systems engineering, radar systems, or communications systems. This position requires skills working as part of and leading multi-disciplinary teams designing, analyzing, integrating, and demonstrating signal processing algorithms for complex systems.
What you will do:
- Develop electronic warfare and radar system concepts, signal processing and machine learning algorithms, and RF solutions to remote sensing challenges
- Provide technical leadership to small, multi-disciplinary teams that develop, implement, test, and integrate novel sensing, electronic warfare, and signal processing systems
- Direct Modeling and Simulation activities of advanced RF systems in support of algorithm development, test, and integration
- Plan and support algorithm test and evaluation activities, including performance assessment in laboratory and field environments
- Clearly communicate with customers, stakeholders, sponsors, prime- and subcontractors
Who you are:
- Active Security Clearance, with eligibility to support special access programs, for which US Citizenship is required by the US government
- PhD, MS, or BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline with 8–10+ years of relevant experience depending on degree
- Strong scientific programming skills including Matlab, Python, Simulink and/or C/C++
- Strong communication skills and the ability to describe complex technical concepts to fellow researchers as well as to non-technical people
- Ability to translate customer requirements to determine research focus
- Ability to create and present deep technical briefings as well as high-level briefings to Customers and senior management
- Experience with designing, implementing, testing, and analyzing ML/AI algorithms
- Strong understanding of radar architectures, waveforms, modes, and RF signal chains

- Current TS/SSBI with SCI and ability to gain and hold SCI/SAP accreditations

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $206,000 - $284,000

ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking to bring on a Electrical Test engineer to design and deliver test systems for Anduril’s electronic products. This person will work with the cross-functional organizations to identify gaps in test coverage and own the design and delivery of the hardware and software test solution. A strong Test Design Engineer will need to have a proven track record of delivering user-friendly test solution for validating electronic components and sub-assemblies and has a background in hardware, software, integration and production support.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and own Hardware Qualification test plan definition for new products and new features, in collaboration with firmware, software, and hardware design teams
- Determine test strategies that optimize product safety, product reliability, risk mitigation, FMEA coverage, and schedule
- Design and execution of PCBA and electrical system components with hands on testing and rework as necessary
- Data analysis and clear communication of results and collaboration with design engineers to resolve any product problems found via test
- Design and implement next generation test automation hardware systems to facilitate fast and repeatable testing of product
- Manage purchasing, build, integration and final commissioning of functional testers
- Develop test procedures and test automation from component level to system level
- Support board bring-up and bench validation as needed
- Support Design Engineer with DFT, provide feedback from test results to improve quality and test coverage

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of a scripting language to develop automation: Python, C#, MATLAB or SHELL. Experience using NI TestStand is a plus

We are looking for a Product Quality Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will work inside & outside the organization to define, develop, and execute processes that deliver high quality & reliable Launched Effects products. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, quality, and performance of Altius and supporting systems. Your expertise will contribute to the success of cutting-edge projects in Anduril’s product portfolio for years to come. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality standards throughout the development, testing, production, and deployment phases. The right person for this role has knowledge of manufacturing, product development, sub-system performance criteria and metrology, and continuous improvement. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive quality processes throughout the product development stages with the Launched Effects engineering team through design reviews, process development, testing, and qualification of propulsion products. Utilize the product maturity frame work to build a quality plan with partner organizations and deliver to the program schedule and performance expectations.
- Collaborate with Launched Effects design engineers to ensure manufacturability and reliability. Champion quality planning and execution to customer design requirements and system integration - design, develop, and implement customer quality tools, processes, and procedures with partner organizations.
- Own the elimination of product and process risk to improve quality & reliability across the product lifecycle. Utilize audits, readiness reviews, and training & documentation to ensure compliance.
- Work cross-functionally to define and execute the product roadmap and delivery schedule of Atlius and supporting systems. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project meetings
- Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities. Review the effectiveness of actions and share lessons learned across the product team. Investigate failures, anomalies, and non-conformities.
- Support the implementation of the Quality Management System on the programs. Define and improve required documentation and activities as needed.
- Create, develop, and provide quality metrics to the project team and stakeholders.
- Prepare, support, and lead customer onsite audits and reviews for contract deliverables for quality management and compliance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field
- Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in aerospace or related systems. Experience in growing and developing teams and managing resources.
- Working knowledge of design review and quality management of PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites/control surfaces, propulsion systems, and lethality systems.
- Experience driving product quality and performance requirements to test and measurement system development and optimization. Knowledgeable of missile storage and maintenance processes.
- Experience partnering with Reliability Engineering, chief engineers, architects, and customer facing team members to deliver to customer requirements.
- Working knowledge of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes. Application of industry standards and best practices
- A strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion.
- Analytical skills and experiences for data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools (MatLab, JMP, MiniTab, etc)
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or UAV new product integration.
- 5-7 years of experience with developing quality systems for low volume, high complex manufacturing environments and suppliers. Working knowledge of AS9100/ AS6500 / ISO 9001-based Quality Management System requirements.

The Electrical Test Engineering team at Anduril develops test systems used to ensure the quality and reliability of our aerial and ground based systems. The team works on air vehicles such as the ALTIUS and develop complex manufacturing test solutions to our internal manufacturing team or contract manufacturers. We work closely and cross-functionally with the rest of our Product Engineering groups that include Electrical, Mechanical and Firmware Engineering to solve and improve our manufacturing process, product quality and reliability.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking to bring on a Senior Electrical Test Engineer to design and deliver test systems for Anduril’s electronic products. This person will work with the test of the organization to identify gaps in test coverage and own the design and delivery of the hardware and software test solution. A strong Senior Electrical Test Engineer will need to have a proven track record of delivering turn key test solution for electronic components and systems and has a background in hardware, software, integration and sustainment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

ABOUT THE TEAM
The Tactical Recon and Strike team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. The team is responsible for taking products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt and Altius from paper sketches to operational systems. We work in close coordination with specialist teams to solve some of the hardest problems facing our customers. We are looking for software engineers, hardware engineers, roboticists, and front-end mobile developers who are excited about creating a powerful robotics platform that can be tasked and viewed in real-time through a variety of interfaces.
The guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) team within TRS performs implementation, analysis, test, and validation for GNC software solutions supporting our autonomous drone fleet. Applications include attitude and position control, waypoint and terminal guidance engagements, and navigating contested environments including communication and GPS denied environments.
ABOUT THE JOB
This role will be responsible for guidance and control law development and validation, hardware and software in-the-loop test and analysis, and cutting edge navigation solutions supporting the entire range of drones within TRS.
What You’ll Do
- Aerodynamic Design & Analysis:
- Aerodynamic design of fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and hybrid VTOL platforms at conceptual, preliminary, and detail design maturities
- aerodynamic analysis of unmanned air vehicles, using both low and high order methods, including analysis tool development and improvement as needed
- Conduct detailed analysis to predict and enhance aero performance.
- Utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools and low-order methods for performance evaluation.
- Develop and maintain in-house suite of aerodynamic analysis tools.
- Evaluate impacts of configuration changes on performance of the aircraft.
- Flight Simulation Development:
- Design, implement, and maintain high-fidelity flight simulation models.
- Utilize simulation to evaluate aircraft performance and reliability.
- Validate simulation accuracy against wind tunnel and flight test results
- Testing:
- Work with Flight Test personnel to plan and execute tests to evaluate aircraft performance
- Plan and coordinate wind tunnel testing to gather aerodynamic data
- Analyze test data to identify performance trends and areas for improvement.
- Utilize flight test data to identify system bugs and failures
- Prepare technical reports and briefings to communicate findings with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years applicable professional experience with airborne platforms
- Proven experience in aerodynamic design and analysis, flight simulation, and flight testing
- Extensive hands-on experience with CFD tools, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent simulation platforms
- Expert level programming and data analysis skills (MATLAB, C++, etc.)
- Strong understanding of aerodynamics and flight dynamics, stability, and control
- A passion for defending the Unites States of America and its allies
- US person status is required as this position requires access to export controlled information

This role will be responsible for guidance and control law development and validation, hardware and software in-the-loop test and analysis, and cutting edge navigation solutions supporting the entire range of drones within TRS.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop, debug, and test flight controllers and guidance algorithms
- Develop and test Software-In-The-Loop and Hardware-In-The-Loop tests in preparation for flight testing
- Work closely with the flight software team to define requirements, integrate GNC software and test functionality in simulation
- Review test data captured from the flight control system, subsystems, and other test instrumentation to verify vehicle performance, evaluate GNC algorithm/controller behavior, or debug incidents during testing or from fielded assets
- Develop models required to support functional evaluation of GNC software
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with a focus on dynamic systems and control
- 8 years professional experience in a GNC role, preferably on airborne platforms
- Experience with Matlab and Simulink
- Experience in modeling and simulation of linear and nonlinear dynamic systems and model linearization
- A passion for defending the Unites States of America and its allies
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree of PhD in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with a focus on dynamic systems and control

ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking to bring on a Senior Test Automation Engineer, Hardware to design and deliver test systems for Anduril’s electronic products. This person will work to identify gaps in test coverage and own the design and delivery of the hardware and software test solution. A strong Test Design Engineer will need to have a proven track record of delivering turn-key test solutions for electronic components and systems and a background in hardware, software, integration and sustainment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage a small team of Test Automation Engineers to deliver End to End test solutions for customers
- Define, own, and execute End of Line test plans for a set of new products and features, in collaboration with firmware, software, and hardware design teams
- Define and implement test strategies that optimize product safety, product reliability, risk mitigation, FMEA coverage, and schedule
- Design and execution of PCBA and electrical system components with hands on testing and rework as necessary
- Data analysis and clear communication of results and collaboration with design engineers to resolve any product problems found via test
- Design and implement next generation test automation hardware systems to facilitate fast and repeatable testing of product
- Execution and management of purchasing, build, integration and final commissioning of functional testers
- Develop test procedures and test automation from component level to system level
- Support board bring-up and bench validation as needed
- Support Design Engineer with DFT, provide feedback from test results to improve quality and test coverage
- Support manufacture test bring-up and yield
- Support in Root Cause Analysis process
- Lead and participate as a key contributor in design reviews
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years of hands on electrical engineering experience designing functional test equipment
- 5+ years of experience in Schematic Capture and/or PCBA layout (experience with Altium Designer is a plus)
- 2+ years of experience in scripting language to develop automation (C/C++/C#, Python, or MATLAB – experience in LabVIEW is a plus)
- Experience with peripherals and developing test and validation strategies
- Advanced experience with computer hardware communication bus protocols: USB, I2C, I2S, CSI, Ethernet, SPI, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, serial comms, etc.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to support product development from prototype to production
- Understanding of lab safety protocols when working in all types of lab environment
- Familiarity with measurement analysis techniques such as Gage RR and Process Capability Analysis
- Understanding both hardware and software integration and test process
- Experience with source code revision and control (experience with GitHub is a plus)
- Must be eligible for a Security Clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and VISIO

About the Team:
The Real-time Architectures, Integration, and Demonstration (RAID) Group focuses on transition of algorithms from concept to real-time software, providing open architecture expertise, and facilitating integration of capabilities for experimentation, test, and deployment.
The Role:
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will lead technical teams developing real-time software for advanced RF sensor systems. You will architect software solutions compliant with open architecture standards, lead the transition of algorithms from concept to real-time implementation, and mentor junior engineers.
What you will do:
- Lead technical teams in architecting, developing, and deploying real-time RF sensor software derived from diverse sources
- Transition advanced algorithms from MATLAB/Python prototypes to optimized production C/C++ implementations within open architecture frameworks
- Optimize software performance for real-time, resource-constrained systems with strict latency requirements
- Architect communication infrastructure and data flows for distributed processing systems
- Lead end-to-end open system integration efforts including hardware-in-the-loop testing, ensuring seamless integration across distributed architectures, external systems, and hardware platforms
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and technical risk assessments and ensure software compliance with open architecture standards and frameworks
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
- Write technical reports, create briefings, and present results to sponsors and senior management
- Interface with customers, program managers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements
- Lead proposal development efforts including technical approach definition, cost estimation, and white paper development
- Collaborate with algorithm developers, systems engineers, RF hardware engineers, and integration teams across programs
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in real-time software development
- Support approximately 20% travel for customer meetings, integration events, and field demonstrations
Who you are:
- Active clearance at the Secret level with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by the US government
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 5-10+ years of relevant work experience depending on degree (BS +10 years, MS +8 years, PhD +5 years)
- Experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Professional software development, C++ for high-performance real-time applications, real-time software for signal processing or sensing applications, Architecture development, leading complex software development efforts, open systems architecture integration, hardware / software integration, proposal leadership
Even Better:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (TS/SCI preferred)
- Strong testing mindset with experience in unit testing, integration testing, and continuous testing frameworks
- Experience with:
- Multithreaded programming, distributed systems, performance optimization
- Real-time constraints, latency budgets, and deterministic behavior
- RF signal processing concepts
- GPU programming and optimization (CUDA, OpenCL)
- Containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Linux and embedded systems development
- MATLAB and/or Python for algorithm prototyping

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $206,000 - $284,000
The salary range listed is based on external market data. Offers are based on factors, such as but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, key skills/critical skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
