Bilingual Copywriter (English/Spanish)

This Multicultural Mid-Level Copywriter will help create communications across all key media/marketing touchpoints to deliver The Client’s message in order to grow & increase Ford customer shopping/Ford dealer showroom traffic in the most persuasive manner possible.

Innovative ideation and concepts, by this Copywriter will be translated into finished assets for all key marketing touchpoints:  Digital/Social, Broadcast TV, Print, OOH, Direct Mail & collateral-material.  This work will be managed under the direct supervision of a CD, and this Copywriter will work as part of an agency team to achieve client objectives.

This Mid-Level Copywriter will have all the latest, industry-leading resources available, including the use of the most current data & technology to not only pinpoint in-market shoppers more efficiently, but to leverage deeper consumer insights to personalize the messaging and “convert” target to intended action.

In this role you will...

• Take creative direction and turn work around quickly to meet deadlines.
• Primary assignments include, but not limited to, automotive retail marketing for regional Ford Dealer Advertising groups; National retail automotive product & event campaigns.
• Possible travel & presenting creative to select Regional Automotive Dealer Advertising Groups or production/shooting on location.
• Ensures all work is of the highest possible quality and maintains agency’s commitment to changing customer behavior through disruptive ideas at all points of contact.
• Works closely with Account & Production personnel as a team member on assigned accounts to produce effective marketing themes, campaigns, etc.
• Maintains consistently high standards of Copywriting which will enhance the agency-client relationship and deliver results as defined in the Creative Brief.
• Helps develop ideas based on input from the CD, ACD, client, Account, research & data.
• Submits copy for review and comment.
• Assures accuracy, completeness and neatness of own copy from initial submission to ACD/CD through final copy and type proofs.
• Meets copy deadlines or secures advance approval if additional time is needed.

You have...

• 3-5 years’ experience as a full-time copywriter in a full-service advertising agency.
• Experience with multicultural advertising and growth audiences.
• Experience across disciplines (Digital/Social, Interactive, TV, Print & direct marketing, etc.)
• Outstanding command of the Spanish and English languages with solid writing and grammar skills.
• Strong writing and word processing abilities across all advertising disciplines including digital & social media.
• Strong knowledge of branding and conceptual development.
• Ability to talk about our expertise and work, both internally and externally.
• Ability to present and discuss conceptual and tangible ideas, both internally and externally.
• Ability to listen and understand client feedback and feedback from internal critiques.

A conceptual copywriter for the Retail Team must possess an essential set of core skills that distinguish themselves for the unique needs of Automotive Retail copywriting. An overview follows:  

IDEATOR

Most certainly, a skilled iterator is needed. One that can work quickly and efficiently under duress of deadlines. One that can also pivot ideation on request under extreme time-constraints [before & after regular business hours]. Strategic direction can quickly change, and is often subjected to market conditions, and global/current events. 

PERSISTENCE/STAYING POWER

As a result, the Retail Copywriter must possess staying power: the ability to keep digging in the well for ideas and solutions to any ever-changing directions. The Retail Writer must have the fortitude to remain committed to the project for the long haul...to endure not only unexpected direction changes, but multiple expected “tweaks & revisions” from the multiple layers of internal agency & client reviews.  

ADAPTABILITY

No doubt, being skilled in adapting to the situation at hand, is needed, almost as much as work that can be shared with clients. For automotive retail copywriting is not just about the big idea. It’s also about the ability to create desire through the description and portrayal of features & benefits. And it’s most certainly often about creating a sense of urgency and a call to action.  

Few, if any copywriting positions call for this disparate and unique combination of writing skills, in addition to subtleties of tone needed on different types of assignments: New Product Launches, Regional or National Sales Events, Disaster Relief, Community Support, Regional-Centric Product Campaigns, or Multi-Cultural Campaigns.  

MULTI-TASKER

Indeed, these multiple writing skills are held to a premium, because they are relied upon and leveraged day-in, and day-out. For the Retail Copywriter must also be skilled in multi-tasking several assignments at once, and often, with pressing & overlapping deadlines (each with their own unique requirements). Deadline management skills are as much needed day-to-day, as the ability to deliver useful ideas.  

Clearly, the Retail Copywriter must skillfully assimilate as much information through briefs & requests. Drilling down to key points and key facts for big idea nuggets, is a skill every Retail Automotive Copywriter must possess.  

FOCUS & CLARITY OF PURPOSE

Similarly, information needed may be incomplete, incomprehensible, or both. Knowing what information you need, is just as important a skill as knowing what information you don’t need. Clarity of purpose & intent breeds efficiency…most useful in the Retail Creative Team where creativity is on demand and always under duress of deadlines.   

Regarding information, it is important to note that useful information can make the difference between an idea that captures the imagination, creates desire and motivates action...and an idea that fails in one or all of those end-goals.

Sharing ideas is an everyday part of the job. The ability to succinctly articulate the how-what-why of an idea is a skill and quality that every Retail Copywriter should possess. YOUR ROLE:

The Content Author is a new, hybrid creative/tech role designed to transform how we build and scale content across CRM and omnichannel platforms. Rather than working in static design tools and passing files through multiple rounds of revisions and handoffs, the Content Author assembles content directly in CRM platforms to deliver personalized experiences at scale.

This includes matrix-based platforms like RAPP’s proprietary system E-MILL for live HTML build, Adobe DAMs for asset sourcing, and Adobe Workfront for automated workflow integration. By combining a designer’s eye, a writer’s ear, and a technologist’s comfort with systems, the Content Author brings creative campaigns to life faster, with greater craft, consistency, and scalability.

The ideal Content Author is someone who doesn’t fit neatly into traditional roles of designer, developer, or copywriter — but instead thrives at the intersection of all three. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble content at scale using modular design systems and content matrices across CRM, email, landing pages, and other platforms.
• Curate, crop, and adapt brand assets from client libraries (e.g., Asset IQ) for multiple contexts and audiences.
• Leverage AI tools to generate, refine, and edit copy while ensuring consistency with client voice and tone.
• Inject highly effective content that embraces Brand nuance into content matrix-based content insode RAPP’s proprietary E-MILL system ready for QA and deployment.
• Ensure accessibility, brand compliance, and attention to detail across all deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with Creative, Strategy, Data, and Technology teams to align outputs with creative intent and audience needs.
• Identify opportunities for new modules, templates, or system improvements that support scale and efficiency.
• Serve as a bridge between creative concept and technical execution, ensuring nothing is lost in translation.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 1–3 years of experience in creative production, digital marketing, CRM, or design system-driven work (agency or brand-side).
• Strong visual eye for composition, layout, and brand alignment.
• Ability to write and edit short-form copy, with comfort using AI as a creative tool.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and digital QA practices (does not require full developer expertise).
• Comfort with workflow and project management tools such as Workfront, Jira, or equivalent.
• Ability to think in systems and modular content structures (atoms, modules, templates).
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently on focused projects.
