This Multicultural Mid-Level Copywriter will help create communications across all key media/marketing touchpoints to deliver The Client’s message in order to grow & increase Ford customer shopping/Ford dealer showroom traffic in the most persuasive manner possible.

Innovative ideation and concepts, by this Copywriter will be translated into finished assets for all key marketing touchpoints:  Digital/Social, Broadcast TV, Print, OOH, Direct Mail & collateral-material.  This work will be managed under the direct supervision of a CD, and this Copywriter will work as part of an agency team to achieve client objectives.

This Mid-Level Copywriter will have all the latest, industry-leading resources available, including the use of the most current data & technology to not only pinpoint in-market shoppers more efficiently, but to leverage deeper consumer insights to personalize the messaging and “convert” target to intended action.

In this role you will...

• Take creative direction and turn work around quickly to meet deadlines.
• Primary assignments include, but not limited to, automotive retail marketing for regional Ford Dealer Advertising groups; National retail automotive product & event campaigns.
• Possible travel & presenting creative to select Regional Automotive Dealer Advertising Groups or production/shooting on location.
• Ensures all work is of the highest possible quality and maintains agency’s commitment to changing customer behavior through disruptive ideas at all points of contact.
• Works closely with Account & Production personnel as a team member on assigned accounts to produce effective marketing themes, campaigns, etc.
• Maintains consistently high standards of Copywriting which will enhance the agency-client relationship and deliver results as defined in the Creative Brief.
• Helps develop ideas based on input from the CD, ACD, client, Account, research & data.
• Submits copy for review and comment.
• Assures accuracy, completeness and neatness of own copy from initial submission to ACD/CD through final copy and type proofs.
• Meets copy deadlines or secures advance approval if additional time is needed.

You have...

• 3-5 years’ experience as a full-time copywriter in a full-service advertising agency.
• Experience with multicultural advertising and growth audiences.
• Experience across disciplines (Digital/Social, Interactive, TV, Print & direct marketing, etc.)
• Outstanding command of the Spanish and English languages with solid writing and grammar skills.
• Strong writing and word processing abilities across all advertising disciplines including digital & social media.

A conceptual copywriter for the Retail Team must possess an essential set of core skills that distinguish themselves for the unique needs of Automotive Retail copywriting. An overview follows:  

IDEATOR

Most certainly, a skilled iterator is needed. One that can work quickly and efficiently under duress of deadlines. One that can also pivot ideation on request under extreme time-constraints [before & after regular business hours]. Strategic direction can quickly change, and is often subjected to market conditions, and global/current events. 

PERSISTENCE/STAYING POWER

As a result, the Retail Copywriter must possess staying power: the ability to keep digging in the well for ideas and solutions to any ever-changing directions. The Retail Writer must have the fortitude to remain committed to the project for the long haul...to endure not only unexpected direction changes, but multiple expected “tweaks & revisions” from the multiple layers of internal agency & client reviews.  

ADAPTABILITY

No doubt, being skilled in adapting to the situation at hand, is needed, almost as much as work that can be shared with clients. For automotive retail copywriting is not just about the big idea. It’s also about the ability to create desire through the description and portrayal of features & benefits. And it’s most certainly often about creating a sense of urgency and a call to action.

Northwest Dealer Retail marketing is the job.  It’s fast-paced.  Exciting.  And seeks to disrupt the existing landscape with innovative messaging, tactics & strategies to compliment the Ford products advertised.  

The work is regional in scale with attention to usage across all established channels.  In addition to General Market English audiences, work is also created for multi-cultural audiences, with specific targeted emphasis on The Hispanic Market.  

Marketing efforts center around core vehicle products leveraging their distinct consumer benefits in Single vehicle Product advertising, Regional Sales Events, Professional Sports Sponsorships, and specialty initiatives.  All work is guided by the ability to customize content with specific consumer analytics from the proprietary GTB data platform of Precision Marketing.

We’re looking for a passionate Creative Ideator/Art Director...a persuasive and charismatic communicator...and a tireless seeker of inspired creativity that motivates action.

Job Summary

The ABM Program Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day program management of Ford’s Audience Based Marketing (ABM) operating model across vehicles and campaigns. This role ensures the ABM workflow runs smoothly from audience discovery through activation, in-flight optimization, and final performance readouts—coordinating cross-functional teams across media, creative, strategy, analytics, site/experience, and CRM.

ABM is an audience-first, always-on approach that uses defined audience briefs, personalized creative/messaging, and continuous learning to drive measurable business outcomes. The Program Director will be the operational hub that keeps timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment on track across channels including Digital OLA/Display, Paid Social, Digital Video, Ford.com experiences, and CRM.

Key Responsibilities

ABM Program Operations & Governance

• Own the ABM “operating system” (cadence, workstreams, documentation, templates, status reporting) to ensure consistent execution across multiple vehicle teams.
• Stand up and maintain clear roles/responsibilities across stakeholders (strategy, analytics, creative, media/platform, web/experience, CRM, account leads).
• Establish and manage recurring meeting cadences (ABM oversight, channel workstreams, cross-functional weekly reviews, performance readouts).

Integrated Timeline & Delivery Management (Cross-Channel)

• Build and maintain the master integrated ABM plan across phases including: discovery, audience development, strategy development, end-to-end concepting, production, campaign launch, optimization, and analysis.
• Manage dependencies and approvals across teams to ensure channel deliverables ship on time and aligned to audience strategy.
• Track and coordinate delivery across key ABM workstreams (e.g., OLA/display + social “always on,” shopper/ARM video, landing page/site experience, and CRM).

Audience-First Execution Enablement

• Coordinate development and circulation of audience briefs to replace (or complement) nameplate-led briefs, ensuring each audience has clear messaging territories, journey considerations, and channel implications.
• Partner with strategy and analytics teams to maintain the learning agenda, test/control design considerations, and measurement framework.
• Ensure audience-led creative and experience work stays aligned to strategic intent and brand standards across all channels.

In-Flight Performance Management & Continuous Learning

• Partner with analytics and media/platform teams to manage weekly performance reviews, cross-channel reporting, and optimization tracking.
• Maintain visibility into KPIs (e.g., efficiency, engagement, site actions/hand-raisers, and other agreed ABM success measures) and ensure actions from performance learnings are implemented.
• Track continuous improvement actions (creative iterations, audience refinements, channel adjustments) and confirm operational follow-through.

Stakeholder & Partner Management

• Serve as a central point of coordination across Ford stakeholders and agency partners (including media/platform teams, CRM partners, and channel leads).
• Facilitate clear decision-making by proactively surfacing risks, tradeoffs, resourcing constraints, and timeline impacts.
• Ensure consistent communication and documentation so all teams understand priorities, status, and next steps.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include

• Managing the ABM master tracker (timelines, dependencies, deliverables, approvals, and risks/issues).
• Scheduling and running key meetings; capturing notes, decisions, and action items and driving items to closure.
• Coordinating cross-channel asset delivery (briefs, creative routes, trafficking needs, tagging requirements, web/CRM inputs).
• Maintaining clean handoffs between phases (e.g., audience strategy → creative concepting → production → launch).
• Creating weekly status reports and leadership-ready summaries (timeline health, risks, optimization actions, upcoming milestones).
• Supporting process consistency and scalability so ABM can run across multiple vehicle programs without reinventing workflows each time.

Desired Skills and Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10–12+ years of program/project management experience in an agency, performance marketing, shopper marketing, or integrated marketing environment.
• Strong experience managing complex, multi-workstream programs across media, creative, strategy, analytics, web/experience, and CRM.
• Comfortable in client-facing discussions where priorities, requirements, and deadlines must be negotiated and enforced.
• Excellent organization, documentation, and follow-through; strong ability to manage ambiguity and evolving inputs.
• Proficiency in PM and reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word; plus Jira/Smartsheet/Asana/Monday or similar).
• Familiarity with test-and-learn approaches, in-flight optimization workflows, and cross-channel performance reporting.
• Bonus: experience coordinating CRM partners and/or owned experience teams (web/landing pages, forms, tagging, analytics).
